You may be right about them changing their tune but I can’t see very many newly 18 year olds who want to dive into this rocky world. Since she already has a stable family she is very unlikely to make an effort to change their contact level until she’s a lot older. They don’t see themselves as being unsafe but had to actually be blocked from a grown adult because they refused to listen to grown adults tell them to back off. At 18 she isn’t likely to be mentally prepared to deal with any of this unless she’s 1 in a million.
