From ages 16-22 (2012-2018) I was addicted to pain pills. On Sunday the 7th on the 7th anniversary of my sobriety, I got this to commemorate it.

  • Congratulations on both your sobriety and the tattoo! Proud of you internet stranger, kicking addiction is fucking hard.

  • Congrats! Going on 5 years and have the date written down too and was thinking of throwing it somewhere. Maybe my knuckles.

  • Awesome. Kicking addiction takes a lot of strength and you need to be proud of your accomplishment for sure.

See, this is exactly what a tattoo should be: meaningful, and important. I look at some tattoos and I think Oh boy, you're gonna regret that one day.

Not this one. In fact the longer this one exists, the more important it is.

    Perfect idea.
