What’s everyone’s general consensus on if next year’s shows will be the same setlist as the ones now? I’d like to see it again (went to the Dallas show) but don’t want to go if it’s the same exact setlist.

  • it will probably be the exact same show. which i'm cool with.

i'm excited to see how they do that outdoors.

  • Saw him in Austin, already bought tickets for Houston.

Being able to see it twice feels like I’m cheating. I can’t wait.

Heard about Houston? Heard about Detroit? Heard about Pittsburgh PA?

  • Sorry but even if 100s of us on Reddit think it will be a certain way, there’s no way of knowing what they will actually end up doing in the show. If I go again, I can say with certainty I will enjoy it either way. There’s so much to notice that even seeing the same show twice (or more), I would appreciate something different every time.

  • Understandable but from what I saw the setlist varied during the 2025 leg of the tour, so I’d have to imagine it would be different enough. Btw, I bought tickets for the Houston show the moment they went on sale (saw the Austin show). If it’s exactly the same show, I’d be thrilled and if it’s entirely different, I’ll be thrilled. We are taking different people to this show so they can experience it also but it was such a good time that either way we’re stoked.

The only difference in setlist was between Dwntwn Buddha and Moisturizing Thing. He alternated between those two songs.

    You certain about that?

  • Going in may to Nashville

Same! Already saw the show in Chicago.

  • I bet extremely similar or the same, which works for me. I definitely plan on going again.

  • I assume it will be the same show (which is why I won’t go again). Even though it was incredible.

  • Considering the level of choreography going on I'd assume any changes will be minimal.

  • Really, what songs would you want swapped out? I suppose he could do different songs off the new album. He played the TH hits so I doubt those would change since that is what most of the audience knows. I’d be happy with an exact repeat of the same show, but I may be the minority.

  • It’ll probably be very similar. In my city on the first leg, we did have a little variation in the set list. They swapped the moisturizer one with the Buddha one on the second night. I imaging he’s refining the set list and choreography for a filmed version later.

He swapped Buddha and Moisturizing throughout the whole tour so that was clearly a planned thing. The setlist for this tour was locked in right out of the gate.

  • It’ll almost certainly be the same setlist as always with the alternating Moisturizing/Buddha. Once American Utopia had settled on a setlist after its early days that’s what that tour stuck with until making a few changes for Broadway. I do wish he’d mix it up for that second leg though. I’d love The Truth, Sax and Violins, or any of his 90s material.

  • I got to see the Pittsburgh show, so the Cleveland show will be a lot different for us.

  • GOT MY KC TICKETS! I’m gonna be crying and dancing the whole show. Can’t not wait!

  • Speaking of, is that it for the shows? Or are more to be announced?

I think that’s it for now

Tragic, I really wanted him for a festival at home

  • I think the setlist for 2025 was awesome. The only thing I hope he does differently is add Mr. Jones to it.

  • Hope nothing changes before the European leg, have tickets for 3 shows 1 locally and 2 abroad.

Houses in Motion is the song I most want to see/hear but there are a lot of others in the setlist that I am also looking forward to. Can't wait.

HiM was the highlight of the show I saw, can’t wait to see the show again, it’s incredible. Enjoy!

Houses in Motion and Slippery People were my favorites from the Seattle shows- saw it one night and immediately bought another ticket and went again the next!

Wish I’d been able to score a balcony ticket though, seeing the floor better would have been great!

Slippery people is one of my favourites too and was delighted it was part of American Utopia when I saw that concert tour in 2018. That was the best show I had seen, but I have seen David Byrne in concert many times over the years. Strange Overtones, Independence Day, And She Was, Nothing But Flowers would be great to hear live too, along with the others of course.

  • If anything, I’m expecting a more finely tuned narrative in between the songs
