Judging by when it was actually open, and called Luna Park, it must be from 1971-1979.
Closed in 1979 due to the Ghost Ride fire. Was reopened in the 80s as Harbourside Amusement Park, then closed later in the decade. Reopened again in 1995 as Luna Park.
Thank you for saving us a family argument! I said 80s, my brother said 70s but I think it must have been one of my birthday parties and not his. The rotor ride is mine to cash in!
Not defeating your reddit name allegations haha. That's crazy though, as someone who never knew the history of this iconic place. I never released it closed for a solid period of time and even had naming disputes.
The rotor’s still there. I reckon that ticket is still good. 😀
Surely not? That thing was hellish! Everyone had a vomit story
7 digit phone number.
That places this from between 1971 to 1994.

Actually, I misread the wiki page, it was called Luna Park after a small naming dispute when it reopened in the 80s. The 80s are fair game as well.
Ooo, I just looked up the “Harbour Queen”. It was a paddle steamer attraction in the 80s. So I guess it must be during the 80s period then :)

8 digits came in 1997, I believe
Oh wow, seven digit phone number. That thing is really old.
Now I feel really really old
NINE 481 1111. Still remember when the ads all changed.
Wonder if the staff Christmas parties and corporate events were just as shit then as they are now.
After a cask of Chablis and a quick office showdown on the dodgems? What could go wrong?
I only remember the excitement of the birthday parties. So it was great if you were ten.
That's brilliant! What year was this from do you think?
Late 70s - early 80s were our peak Luna park years. So sometime then?
They were on the ghost train, didn’t need it
Not funny
