I had the opposite happen when I lived in Canada, I had a coke can in the back and it was -45c and went over a bump and the whole back of my wagon was covered in slushie :D
Back home in the UK, when we had glass milk bottles, my dad took one to his office from home and put it in the centre console in his car. On the way it managed to shatter and his car smelt like off milk for months. To this day I always take out anything with liquid in from my car because I still remember the smell!
