• Dominated the game and easily should have gone through in all honesty.

Matos is doing a good job so far but he needs to find ways to kill games off especially after going a goal up.

Conceding in the manner in which we did wasn’t good enough.

I hate being harsh on him but it’s been the same story ever since he signed 5 years ago, but if we have Lawrence Vigoroux in net today, we win easily; Fisher didn’t cover himself in glory whatsoever. First goal he got bullied and the second goal albeit a clean strike but straight at him.

Despite his miss in the shootout, I really liked Yalcouye again today and Inoussa also.

I just despite the FA Cup in all honesty so I’m not bothered we are out as it’s a nothing competition for us every year and I’d much rather we focus on the league going forward. West Brom fans giving it the big one now when they’ll be out next rounds anyways and they couldn’t beat us 10 days ago when it actually mattered lol…

Matos needs to find a way to kill off games, or his players do? He can't put the ball in the net for them

Well not necessarily when our chance creation and attempts at taking the game further to the opposition becomes lacklustre every time when we go a goal up.

It’s both a players and Matos issue.

  • Ridiculous. So many opportunities

  • I mean it doesn’t really matter, neither team will win and we will both forget this game in a month, we both know we were the better team so we have more to build on

  • And that is why I hate cup games mid season, 2 hours of play time into an already tired squad this could have been a 2 week break to recharge.

This is why it’s okay to go out. Nice to progress but unless you can compete, as long as you don’t go out like Palace did, it’s not a negative being knocked out

  • Stuff the result - play that game 10 times and we win 9 of them.

We must be such a horrible team to play against. Not because of any dark arts but because we don't give players any time on the ball. It's just brilliant to watch.

Particular note for Inoussa's goal as well. Wales with a lovely touch, Key with a great run and assist and Inoussa with a tidy finish. Should fill them all with confidence moving forwards.

  • Played well, didn’t put away chances when we should have. Not that disappointed really as a fair draw in normal time and we dominated. Just hoping that we can start putting away more chances over the rest of the season. Wales looked sharp again when he came on.

  • Why can't our players convert!!! Loads of missed chances!

  • Just in case you had any doubt if Vigoroux gets injured, we're in big trouble

  • Matos, please for the love of god stop taking Eom off instead of Ronald. He missed an absolute sitter, and when Key replaced him he got an assist in minutes AND tracked back to cover Ward when he was out of position.

We need a right winger in January.

  • Great performance from our lads. Fisher the difference, and not in a good way. Oh well, more time for the league and rest.

  • First 30 minutes forgetable till about 30 mins in when we got going. Ward rusty but some good through passes on the right wing. He was sloppy at times and failed to block for first WBA goal. I cant say as some that we dominated. WBA had some good spells and some excellent clinical passing. Swansea also had some excellent spells with similarly excellent interplay. I interestingly fisher seemed to dive left for every penalty when most went in on the right. I was hoping with 1 minute extra time to play theyd bring vigs on for the penalties. Fisher is way off being a good second goalie compared to Vigs. Swansea are still guilty of pedestrian play out from the back with the same Sheehan side passing and backpassing which caused issues at times with WBA chasing down the ball. It infuriates me every fkn match. Swansea really need to concentrate on the final third so many missed chsnces. Teams were evenly matched overall and 2 bad penalties ruined an otherwise entertaining match. Swanseas play has VASTLY improved since sheehan with sub sublime play at times but needlessly still give the ball away frequently in dangerous positions. A work in progress but on the right track.

  • Well that was weird

  • Matos is doing a good job and giving the players plenty of opportunities to show why they deserve to be in the starting 11, but Fisher... God. Whenever I see him in the starting 11 I just know we're going to have a horrible game.

  • Just commenting again here: did we make 7 subs? Unless there was a concussion sub, we might get stung by the FA soon...

West Brom also made 7 subs, I think the officials and management teams know what they are doing.

Thanks for pointing out that WBA did it too. I've not seen anything about any concussions (which the 7th subs would have been for), hence my confusion. Seems like all is above board then. Ignore me!

Whitworth for West Brom came on in the 89th minute and got substituted in the 100th minute for Jed Wallace.

I remember the commentator saying WBA had a concussion sub, the rules state that if a concussion sub is used by one team the other team gets an extra sub to even it out, otherwise the concussion sub team gains an advantage this way it stops teams from faking a con sub to gain an advantage.

The officials agreed to let the subsitutes happen. Must have been a concussion sub

  • Rebbish yalcoue goal well he didn't score did he
