Honestly the shoe looks even nicer in person than in the pictures from Nike. The swoosh is color changing, it's amazing. When wearing them, they come across to me like wearing the Valley jerseys but as a shoe. So sweet. Feels nice to wear but just like the Book 1s they start off a little tight at the ankles, but I need to break them in. All in all another win from #1.
These are so unbelievably cool
What are your thoughts? The Book 1 was more comfortable to me right out of the box than the 2. I'm hoping the 2 feels better once it's broken in. I have 7 pairs of 1's - based on my early impression of the 2's I'm not breaking the bank on this one.
I remember the ankle feeling tight on the 1s also at first, but I only wore these ones long enough to give them a first try on. I think they'll feel more comfortable if I just loosen them up a bit, I tied them pretty tight.
So far my only other critique is that I like the solid color soles like my Book 1s have better than the clear-plastic-on-top-of-color soles, but I guess most of the Book 1s after the first few went in that direction.
I wore the 2's on court last night coaching my 8 year old kid's practice. They felt stiff the entire time.
As far as the outsole - it was a mixed bag with the 1's - Of all the pairs I got, only 2 have the translucent outsoles.
Clean
š„hoping Iām able to get a few pairs in Australia soon enough
I heard theyāre a tough break in
You're not the only one who's said that, we'll see how it goes!
Stunning! š
I got mine too but returning as soon as I can. I like the style but as a basketball shoe it is terrible, feels like a brick on my feet. Book 1 are a better pair for actual playing.
Got mine too! Canāt wait to try them on
Look stiff ahh fu
It is, its very stiff both in the midsole and the top layer, it is more of a skateboard shoe/lifestyle shoe than anything you would use to run/gym in.
i wish they had them in my size
Also more color ways - books been wearing others that hopefully they sell eventually
Book said the āblack tieā ones were just the ones they send him for āfit and feelā so not sure if those will get released or not. he mentioned that on one of his post game interviews
Heās been sporting them a lot - and I think they would work great as an additional option maybe even for business casual type applications for those not able to go full orange dep on setting.
Because the mech upper is a lot more flex than the molded upper this color way has.
Even more reason to have them available for sale
Maaaan, it would be cool if they had some Book shoes that printed his stats for his career up to the point of the release of the shoes, going around the shoe or at the back... And then put there his stats in the playoffs which are even more amazing... Actual stories being told on the shoe which would look like an actual book, and you'd be telling a story whenever you play in them
Returning mine as well. Looked better on photos than in person to me.
They don't look bad in person either, it's just not really a pair to play and gym in, it's a lifestyle shoe only, way too stiff and tough to do any running in.
Bro youāre not suppose to wear them
I am the opposite of a shoe guy and I'll never get a pair but fuck these are sick.
I literally never cared about shoes until the Book 1s came out
At first glance I thought your hat said Alaskan Bush Co. š
š
Size up or how do they feel
If I wear them a bit looser I don't feel like I need to go a size up but I don't have big feet. I didn't go a size up for the Book 1s but most other people did.
Do you have any problem with the inside of the laces grinding on your foot?
I haven't felt that yet but I really haven't worn them much yet.
How comfy are they actually? They look sick!!
Have a pair on the way for my wife. Hoping theyāll surprise us and arrive tomorrow since weāre going to the game. Unfortunately, ETA is Saturday according to UPS
Are they any lighter than the 1s?
I found it kind of hard to tell so I actually just put them both on a scale - one Book 1 shoe is 12.8 oz, the Book 2 is 15.5 oz
Iām probably just a hater. The shoe looks a little dorky with your jeans and in general a little childish. Still love my Book 1s and appreciate you sharing a pic. Just not for me.
