It'll be wild. I really wonder how basically 3 months of watching has changed Jalen. You don't go thru this after missing nothing for years and not have it impact your psyche. I wonder if he will come back a wiser player? More timid? More efficient? We shall see.
I do know that it'll be 48 min of either book or green. And backup lineups to start the 2nd and 4th will be something amazing like Collin Green goodwin Dunn oso.
That being said, I not totally sold yet. There is a chance that green comes back and the suns are worse. It's not easy to fit into this, and if efficiency goes down, you get worse. Hope we find out next week!
I’m really excited for Green to come back but I think I have PTSD from Bradley Beal era. I keep thinking what if we aren’t as good because the ball needs to be in too many different players hands? Is this going to be a Bradley Beal / KD / Book situation again? I know Book is willing to sacrifice his offensive game but the greater good of the team but can’t help but worry how it’ll look. I’m also interested to see what lineups start and end the game … will Allen start ir end, will Brookes play the PF or SF…
Our team provides way better spacing than Houston, in Collin, Royce, Grayson, you name it. Booker still deals with the other team's best defender and with all that he will have so many opportunities to drive in open lanes (which he's best at and we lack the most). I'm a firm believer his efficiency will shoot way up than his in Houston.
His speed and athleticism is going to fit right into this team. We push the pace, try to score in transition and we’re damn good at it. The thing is: Jalen is probably the best at that out of anyone on the team. He’s the most explosive sun we have, he’s going to do well in fast breaks. I’m interested how he’s going to do in half court offenses, but at the very least, we have another playmaker for clutch minutes.
I’ve been lucky to get to go to a bunch of games this year, but going to this game and seeing Jalen work with Book was when I really started to believe in motor of this team.
Watching Oso develop has felt the same way. Just a fun season and group (finally since the Fellas)
Green is in the second week of a 2-to-3-week evaluation period. Ott addressed Green’s status on Sunday, Jan. 4, revealing a possible time frame for a return.
“Is he 100% strength? He's there,” Ott said before Phoenix upset defending NBA champion Oklahoma City on Jan. 4 at Mortgage Matchup Center. “So now, this is the ramp-up time period onto the court is where he's at. That's currently where he's at. So he's fully healthy, strong. His sprint speed is good and now we're going to give him a couple of weeks to play.”
Based on Ott’s “couple of weeks to play,” Green could return later this month with his progression being taken into consideration.
I'm hoping he's the dude we can count on to always get the easy layup if he can cut his way to the basket, like we saw in this video. That seems to be one of our weak points right now, so many layups that hit the back of the rim and just don't end up going in.
And once again, of those 30 minutes he played with the full team, he was a beast that just roams free and bite whoever he wanted to. I've always thought that with Book and Allen attracting the other team's top defenders, it would be a cake walk for Green to attack the rim at will against any team's #3 defender.
What's wild to me is so many people said we got fleeced in the KD trade... The subtraction of KD/Beal paired with Collin/Brooks/Mark Williams emergences ALREADY has paid big dividends. The key current piece of the trade (Green) and the key organic growth piece of the trade (Maluach) have played a combined 100 mins this season... Once Green is in the rotation helping Booker and Maluach is out there contributing, the full benefits of the trade will be apparent and I don't think anybody is going to mention the ROI of this trade ever again.
I just hope - as we even saw in this video - he's not relagated into standing around watching Booker, I do hope he is used correctly, with the ball in his hands to drive and kick, it opens so much (we see it with Grayson)
Jalen Green really feels like he’s filling Bradley Beal’s role, in every way. I’d love to be wrong, but the Rockets hosed us with Jalen Green.
MAYBE if he can be the 6th man and championing the second 5, that would be perfect perfect. But being gone this long, it’s not going to be just “plug his stats and past performances into what’s already happening”. Unfortunately. I HOPE IM DEAD ASS WRONG.
But even the tone of all the “oh man, once Jalen Green is back…” posts and comments are starting to get an air of optimistic desperation.
I felt like they dumped Jalen Green on us and I was disappointed the moment I saw his name in the trade. Blinded by the flashes of brilliant scoring to see the big picture.
The other positive outcome would be if the Suns can move him once he’s healthy and before he’s played any games to reveal the truth. SELL HIM HIGH
I'm really excited for him to be on the floor when Book isn't. Teams started honing on Collin so another shot creator like Jalen would help a lot.
You could see how much even just having Grayson back helped free up Colin
Freed up Goodwin if that's what you meant.

Suns don’t really have that guy that can get to the rim with ease like Green we will really open up the court! Very excited! Soon right??
I've probably watched the Jalen Green first Suns game highlight more than any other highlight video.
Bare minimum imagine a world where this fast twitch, athletic guard NEVER sees a double team and NEVER is guarded by the other team's best defender.
The only downside is that dummies on this sub will blame Booker for not forcing shots against a double or junk defenses even more.

Unrelated, but I’ve been trying to place who Rasheer reminds me of, and 100% he’s a young SDSU Kawhi
Absolutely. It took Kawhi a few years for the offensive game to catch up to the defense & rebounding as well.
Jalen Green in that game looks like what we were hoping Bradley Beal would have provided us with thr old team.
Wild that he looked better in his first game than Beal did in any game with us.
Beal played more games with us and yet, somehow Jalen Green's impact is greater.
Oh no. Beals impact is by far greater. And it will continue to be for YEARS
Lol. Got me. I should hsve said positive impact
Funny, I thought the same thing. Hopefully it works out a hell of a lot better!
Ishbia just said he’s back towards the end of the road trip. Brooklyn game would be my guess.
Ishbia? where?
Burns and Gambo today
oh nice, gonna catch that segment later. Thanks!
When the hell does he come back?
End of next week by all accounts or few days after it.

When....
Edit: Found this on Azcentral
What did Ott say?
Thank you! Appreciate it.
Very excited for his return
Saving him for the Finals!
Look at Book’s smile man. You know he’s excited for Green to come back
I'm really excited for this but my question is where do his minutes come from?
Everyone is playing pretty well and chemistry is really good right now but Green will get minutes. Dunn I'm guessing and who else?
