Absolutely.. He doesn't seem to have anywhere near the turnovers (from trapping) is making the right plays and actually playing good defence... Seems to be getting more rest in games too which is great.
His assists would be higher too if more open looks went in or MW wasn't fouled and missing so much
Yup, statistically this is nowhere close to his best season, it’s actually one of his worst since he became a full blown start but he’s been incredibly impactful and the stats don’t tell the whole picture. He has so much gravity and creates so much for his teammates that he’s massively impactful even when he’s shooting like shit
It's absolutely absurd. But what's even better is when you notice that teams aren't sending the double book goes nuts. The Kings for some reason started the game playing him straight up and only showing in the gaps.

Not that I want him gone. But like we got 7 guards within the organization that are already nice or could be. 140+mil already tied up in guards. Gillepsie to pay. And no power forwards/big wings but Fleming.
Got Dunn, Brooks who can play PF (same height), Fleming for sure, but all these guards are not gonna be here next year, I know some hearts will be broken but it is what it is. I too wish the Suns would keep all of them, but Goody, Jamaree, Brea, are on the outside looking in and Goody is gonna be expensive the way he's playin'.
Idk why jamaree n brea on the outside. They gunna be making min dollars anyways. Goodwin is still 6'1 and role players have been feeling the squeeze in FA
Between collin/boyea/Goodwin we probably will be able to afford all of them off Graysons number alone. Them being short is a huge blessing

You can almost see at times that Booker doesn’t like playing with Brooks when he gets in the “I’m gonna shoot everything mode”. A lot of turnovers and bricks from Brooks, but Booker deals with it because he knows that Brooks will make up for it on defense and eventually will come back to reality once he shoots a few more bricks. I can’t be the only one who’s noticed this
so cool to see everyone step up when Booker isnt on the floor. its like they know they need to play harder, they dont think it will come to them. I think its pretty obvious when Brooks is out there without Booker, he tries alittle too hard to fill the role of sharpshooter and often goes cold, but will continue to throw it up anyway.
Brooks stats make sense because he doesn’t get blitzed like Booker does, so if he’s not scoring on literally every play he’s not generating value on offense like Booker does despite being a better defender
this just shows how devin booker elevates the team, even when his three pointers are off

Brooks has had the mentality of “if you wanna shoot, then shoot”. It’s shown to be a huge confidence lifter for players like Gillispie and Oso

Plus minus is dumb. It also depends on who's on the floor for the other team. It didn't take that into account.
