Yep; Not dead, possible brain injury; but the amount of
"OH must likely brain damage" is ridiculous, and clearly haven't had any experience in brain trauma, or being concussed themselves 😂
Nearly all of the guys are yeah, don’t think this happens very often he just had bad technique trying to tackle him low even though this “game” is more shoulder charges.
It’s a YouTube channel that does “run it straight”, rugby league orientated mainly kiwis / islander big big lads. Each “player” gets a turn running at the other one and the winner is deemed the one who was physically more dominate in the 2 runs.
Can you translate that to American? I can translate the person you are responding to
They are pointing out that in American “football” (we know this word is contested) you cannot tackle head first. It’s against the rules due to danger to both players.
Lol no worries. I watch a bit of NFL so I have a minor grasp on the rules.
In rugby and illegal tackle will be either failing to wrap your arms around the the runner or tackling to high up known as a "high tackle".
In recent years there is a massive crackdown on high tackles because of TBIs. The rules now state that the tackler has to at least try to lower their body in order to tackle around the waist of the runner. Any deliberate high tackles especially where the tackler is seen to shoulder charge the runner's head are a straight red card and potential ban for a number of games depending on the severity.
The tackle in the post above is a typical case of an illegal tackle. No attempt was made to get lower than the runner and you can actually see the tackler shoulder charged the head of the runner leading to a serious TBI. The situation in the video was stupid on all sides. The event seems to be encouraging violent tackles.
You hit the nail on the head! The NFL has been doing the same to avoid head injuries and TBI. They have rules about tackles too, besides leading with your head. I can’t tell you too much about them because my husband and I stopped following the nfl a few years ago due to bad leadership.
It's how things are going in New Zealand. Pretty depressing if you think about it too much. A 14 year old died last week in NZ doing this at a birthday party. They thought it would be great fun but one of their friends went to the morgue not home. Very sad. I was quite disturbed to see all the children running on all hyped up. Why would you want your kids being involved in this 'sport'?
Oooooo! Damn, he went directly to tickling the ivories 😢
Still running
Uhm.. is he ded?
Probably not dead, but brain damage is very possible and likely. Convulsions like this after being KOed is not a good sign.
Not dead, would have made mainstream news in Aus if so

Damn, I keep forgetting about this sub 😂
Dude, is that a Pacific Islander he willingly ran into? WHY?
He even lowered his head

GRAB HIS DICK & TWIST IT!!
That's an illegal tackle too.
He lowered his shoulder like a mf. Illegal in the NFL fasho dunno bout Rugby
Lol he made absolutely no effort to lower his center and he shoulder charged the runners head.
Straight red and investigation justified.
What planet are you on?

"American football players are so soft for wearing helmets"
Looks like the knee got him
? The big guy tackled him after he tried to get past.
Can see what they mean, though. Slow it down and you’ll see the knee follow through after the tackle
The knee hit had nothing to do with his injury, he was already done from the shoulder charge to his head
Yep knee straight to the jaw
Is this gear free day? Full contact with no gear is questionable
I was also curious about that
He's not still standing
Wow medical really ran to the rescue there
That’s a lawsuit!
Ah the old Oklahoma drill.
He galloping on his horse
Why did they all run up to dawg on him when he's literally seizing up?
