• This honestly looks pretty nice, if I was in the market it would be a contender.

  • 29,995 imo should be the max starting price for this. 35k is too high.

May have been banking on the $7500 tax credit before it was removed.

There is 6k incentive on the 26 Solterra, likely to see something similar on the Uncharted

didn’t the federal EV tax credit end?

Yes. This person is either thinking of the 25 model or prior to September 30th of 2025.

States and dealership offers may vary.

Car manufacturers offer incentives and rebates on a monthly basis.

In New England there is a 6k dealer cash incentive on the 2026 Solterra.

Yea with the leaf and bolt coming in at 30k idk if this is going to compete well

  • $35k for a car without AWD... and the base model only has 221 hp, which is less than my 2014 forester XT.

But what really gets me are the Fuck Ugly color choices: Orange-x2, Black, White-x2, and Gray-x4.

No World Rally Blue, no green, no red, no yellow.

I wouldn't say Only 221hp, EVs have full power from 0 rpm, not at a very small window like 5200-5600 rpm when the turbo has spooled up and the motor is putting out its rated power.

My Bolt EUV only has 200hp and it's fine. It also weighs almost 800lbs less though, so maybe this isn't fine? I think it will come down to how well the pedal is is tuned and how much electricity Subaru is willing to dump into the motor. Based off of the 0-60 times, it's actually faster than my Bolt.

Full torque at low speed, HP is still HP.

And if it had AWD and more horsepower (Which 221HP base is more than any non performance Subaru has on base model, and only seven less than the BRZ) you would be complaining how bad the range is.

And people like you who only look at a single metric out of context like to pretend bigger number=better every time.

What about the power to weight ratio? the base uncharted has a curb weight of 4,135 lbs. or power to weight ratio of ~1:18.7 compared to the 2025 BRZ it is 2,820 lbs. or 1:12.3.

Back to my 2014 Forester XT touring at 3,622 lbs the power to weight ratio is ~1:14.5 but this is with AWD so the power is more surefooted than a FWD or RWD vehicle with comparable specs.

It is going to feel sluggish.

Edit: the AWD version will have a power to weight ratio of 1:13.1 @ 4,430lbs.

My non-performance Ascent with 260hp would like a word.

You got me there, I always forget about the Ascent

221hp is plenty of power especially when it’s only going through two wheels. A GTI makes like 240

221 HP through 2 wheels is worse than through 4, uneven tire wear, and a lower coefficient of friction.

  • I’ll buy a used example next year for 50% off. These should have been started at 25k and topped out at 35k. It’s priced too close to the solterra and trailseeker

  • Looks like that ugly Nissan Araya

  • I'm not sure what the price will be if and when it gets as far as Aus, but it's unlikely to be low enough to compete with BYD or MG while probably not having enough appeal to fight it out with the higher end manufacturers. It's an odd vehicle and price point, I wonder if they just miss timed the market on this one, 3 years ago it would have been a very solid bet

  • The trailseeker looks more appealing to me. But I'm not really in the market for any car and it probably would be a hybrid for now if I was.

  • Gah dang they’re so ugly

  • should rename it "Unsold" at that price.

  • Just another rebranded Toyota.

I too am upset that Toyota is helping keep my favorite brand afloat.
