Btw as an 04 kid I also had tapes in my childhood. I remember watching thomas and friends as a preschooler while my mom cut my hair. It always weirded me out that the tape had to be wound up to the correct place and I could see a low quality recording of a different show at the beginning. "That's not how a normal dvd works!" I thought (but of course without knowing what a dvd is apart from "disc with video on it")
My grandpa taught me how to rewind and fastforward stuff so it'll be like prehistoric tape youtube poops. Most stuff I've watched as a small kid was on DVD or pirated via internet
