Merry Christmas Eve Eve for all that celebrate. I am working tomorrow (Christmas Eve) and as this is my first as a partner, I see it going one of two ways…either it’s super busy or super dead. My shift is 2:45pm-7:30pm. Thoughts? Tips?

  • Don’t forget to breathe, drink water, and remember to leave anything negative behind when you go home! People might be amazing but they also might be absolute assholes and you shouldn’t let them ruin your day :) it’s the holiday season and tons of people are stressed, just remember not to take anyone’s mood or attitude (customer or coworker) to heart

Love this reminder for every day lowkey lol ❤️

  • I’m guessing you are closing? I’m going to warn you as a closer that it will probably be a lot busier right up until close than you are used too and it’s mainly because you have 2 hours less to do all tasking but also, normally you are used to that many people at that time but then have a chance to clean after and you won’t feel like that tomorrow and they just don’t stop coming until they have too. That being said, if the AM sets up for success enough then it shouldn’t feel as bad as it will mainly be production right up until the doors are locked but you will feel behind 100% based on reduced hours in general.

This makes a lot of sense, I didn’t think of it that way thank u!

  • It'll probably be busy. If your store is closed on xmas day, you're a little lucky cause you won't have to prep any of the 24 hour items like whips or mocha.

  • Unfortunately depends on your location

  • i always try to tell baristas stay calm, stay clean you’ll work smoother

  • Just stay calm at work, and head home with a peaceful mind!

  • Me too, closing christmas eve and day, hoping its dead even though my coworkers told me it usually gets packed 😭 I just started working not long ago
