I contacted customer service to ask about the chestnut praline latte and this was their response. Super disappointing. This was my favourite holiday drink!
That said, even though it’s gone from the app, I did ask a barista if they still have it and they did (except they were out of the topping).
That sounds so much like a clueless support person reading from a script or AI. It's not so much that it's been discontinued, more so that it's seasonal and they depleted supply quickly.

But did you see somewhere in the communication where Brian said they weren't going to bring it back but so many partners said that we love it and want it back. So my assumption is they brought it back in a limited supply and it was never even on our printed signage. I'm assuming that next year they won't bring it back because it didn't do well this year...which on paper will be the case because we only got a limited supply.
It’s such crap because we were constantly selling it and many people were very upset we ran out so quickly. The whole situation is ridiculous.

And if we have to turn it off because of toppings, it goes away altogether and sells even less. It’s rigged and stupid.
I don't normally do this, but I am going to reach out to them to complain about this. I havent been going to Starbucks as much the past few years, but I always get hooked again when chestnut praline comes back.
I used to like pumpkin spice, but I think I officially resent it now. It's still on the menu everywhere and it's been out for months while they can't even keep chestnut praline stocked for one month.

The bastards did a very limited production run (on purpose).
We got one case (six bottles) of syrup, and one case (I don't know if it was four or six bottles) of sprinkles.
We still have syrup, but the sprinkles are done.
A lot of locations will be in a similar situation, so I'd recommend going in and asking directly. If they tell you they're out, accept that answer.
Thanks for the answer. Figured this out on Christmas eve. Ordered another holiday iced latte on the app because no where near me had the chestnut praline then saw it on the chalkboard inside the store. I asked about it and they offered to swap the syrup out. I hope it wasnt my last one ever!
Partner here, corporate dropped the ball big time on the holiday flavors. A few days ago they were all blacked out from ordering much sooner than usual so every store is extremely limited. Yet we can still order pumpkin spice, makes no sense. They’re marking it off of mobiles to try and preserve it longer or they were like my store and tried to make one bottle last as long as possible and only use it for cafe/drive thru customers. It’s my personal favorite flavor so this holiday season has been extremely disappointing.
I understand stores running out of product but this is the first time since I've started that they have preemptively taken it off the ordering app. My store still has plenty and we have been dealing with many customers complaining about having to order it in person.
It is annoying to not be able to order ahead, but im just happy I can still get it. Maybe they can make it up to us by keeping it out for as long as the pumpkin spice next year lol
every Starbucks I’ve been to in my area has it in stock in store. It’s just unavailable on the app as they have marked the topping out of stock so it marks the whole latte out of stock. I doubt they discontinued it as it was only released three weeks ago and it’s one of their biggest holiday flavors. That response sounds like a load of BS from someone who doesn’t know what they’re talking about.

The window for it this year was incredibly small. It usually comes out in November when the holiday flavors launch, not releasing it until December really cheated us out of our favorite flavor
They need to take the pecan crunch off the app menu too!

Gingerbread Latte was my favorite and they got rid of it outside Canada a few years ago. Very disappointing that the holiday favorites are being systematically discontinued.
Gingerbread was added back to the menu in the US in 2023. We have the gingerbread latte and a gingerbread chai.
We have it at my store in Canada but also fuck starbucks Im sure a local cafe has better seasonal syrups

I have 3 cases of sugar cookie and chestnut. Toppings force us to turn them off but we have PLENTY of the actual syrups.
We just got cases of sugar cookie after 2 weeks. But I wouldn’t mark out the toppings just let them know that you don’t have the toppings. It’s worked at my store

I also went to the internet looking for an answer on this. I was super disappointed to find all of the local stores out the other day, so I decided to not even get starbucks. Yesterday, i decided that i really wanted an iced latte so thought id try the caramel brulee. When i got inside, i saw it advertised on their chalkboard so i asked and they swapped it out for me. Guess I can't order ahead for my chestnut praline latte anymore this year, which is fine... I don't mind losing the extra few minutes, but I really hope they bring it back for real next year (like for the same amount of time as the rest of the winter drinks, and actually keep it stocked for the duration). If there are issues with having too many seasonal drinks maybe they don't need to sell pumpkin spice for half the year since it's also supposed to be seasonal.
