• Hello dudes. Multiplayer is going to take a while because it needs to be perfect, so don't expect to see anything very exciting in the next week or two.

I will also probably only test the 0.0.4 demo with my discord server, because there won't be much new content; I'm primarily looking for bugs rather than feedback. Link is in the sidebar/stickied on the subreddit if you want to join!

Thanks for the update! Love how the development is going! Keep it up!

Good luck on getting everything to work :)

I’ve seen a lot of updates from you and they all look great! I was wondering though if the game would be included on Consoles, and if so would it be next gen exclusive (Series x and PS5) or would it be playable on Xbox One/PS3/4?

I don't have any plans to release on console for the time being, but who knows what the future holds!

  • I do hope that player model stays...

  • Love the progress! Just keep going!

  • I can’t wait until starboard comes out

  • Hope you can make use of EOS (Epic Online Services), it's a great service that should help you streamline your entire multiplayer workflow.

They have a bunch of features that could even help you with some standard features such as Achievements, Mod Support etc.

Definitely would suggest taking a look at the Epic Developer program!

I'm actually using Steam's API for multiplayer; it has a much larger potential playerbase, and it's already integrated with the networking API I'm using. This is primarily the reason I plan to release only on Steam for the time being.

Understood, yeah Steam API is definitely on par with EOS as well without a doubt. Looking forward to more of these weekly updates in a quirky gif format, I'm kind of new here and I found your game after one of your posts went viral and ended up on r/all

Wishing you all the best with your game release, looks really promising and fun :) Definitely keeping an eye out for it.

Thanks! I'm still surprised people are interested in the small amount of polished work I've put out, I can't wait until people see some of my more interesting ideas :)

  • Dude. In what program did you make the Islands? Im trying to find tutorials on it but cant find any that looks like it. Is it blender or unity?

I used the standard Unity terrain system

  • I like everything

  • Will you be hosting servers for the game or will there be easy P2P server options in the game itself? I would much prefer to not have to host a dedicated server with port forwarding.

(Unturned just refuses to work with me and I'm absolutely done with it)

You will be able to host a server & play on it, and friends should be able to connect without any port forwarding. Since it's not p2p, you will still be able to host fully dedicated servers, too!

Last time I played Unturned with a couple of friends we played via Hamachi VPN. Worked like a charm without any port forwarding on the router, only firewall exceptions on the Windows Firewall but you get prompted for that anyways.
