NGC 4725 is a barred spiral galaxy, a huge collection of stars shaped like a flat disc with a central bar located about 40 million light years away in the constellation Coma Berenices. It is unusual because it seems to have only one main spiral arm and a bright ring of stars around its center, and it may also host an active core with a supermassive black hole.
