We do cocktail smokies, grape jelly and apricot preserves. You can also do grape jelly and BBQ sauce,or BBQ sauce and a mustard. I dont really measure anything,I just dump things in. Or the meatballs with the same ingredients.
I have a dip recipe, but its not for the crockpot. I always get compliments on it and people always ask for the recipe. Lmk if you'd like it.
Velveeta and rotel. Classic. You can try to pretend it’s good for you by serving raw vegetables on the side along with chip. Broccoli dipped in is amazing!
If slow cooker is allowed, buffalo chicken dip is still undefeated when done right. Shred the chicken fine, go heavy on cream cheese and sharp cheddar, and finish with a little ranch powder for depth. Keep it hot and bubbly and bring sturdy chips or toasted baguette so it feels intentional, not mushy. If you want something less common, mini pulled pork sliders with a tangy slaw also clean up fast and feel more “wow” than they sound. The key is something rich, warm, and easy to grab that still tastes great after sitting out.
I really like oden and the like around now, heading into Winter.
Don't know where you are, but the components are staples at a reasonably sized Asian supermarket/ large grocery store. In the frozen section, too. There are often frozen "sets" with a combination of different components that are put together already.
I mean, grape jelly meatballs are so clutch. Jar of grape jelly, jar of chili sauce, bag of frozen meatballs. Fucking amazeballs.
Ha! That’s exactly what I came here to say. They are a hit every time.
