If your fan vents to the outside. If it doesn't vent to the outside, that won't do anything. An air purifier beside the slow cooker might help.
I have never seen an extractor fan that does not vent externally, nor do I see how that fulfills the purpose of an extractor fan in the first place. Maybe this is a cultural difference I'm not aware of.
The majority of stove top fans are now not extractors, they’re filters. They’re meant to “grab grease” out of the air rather than actually venting. I don’t like them, but they’re cheaper and that sells.
I don't have an advice for you, but: To me, the released flavors of the developing food, intensifying by the hour, is a core component in slow cooking :) Of course, if someone in your household is allergic to it, that changes everything. I'm a bit sad for you...
true, the smell can be part of the experience, but it’s tough when someone in the house is sensitive to it. Maybe he can try using a slow cooker with a lid that seals better or cook when she’s out
Put the slow cooker on the stove top and turn on the extractor fan.

Depends on your house, but I've done it in the garage before.
I put the slow cooker on the balcony.

The garage model.
I wanted to say the same thing hahaha
Check out the Wonderbag. I do pot loads of cabbage: no smell, nothing.
Dehumidifyer might help if you have one run it
Can you put slow cooker outside in a sheltered location? Maybe back porch, deck, garage?
Cook outside?
