Hi all. I recently purchased a Ninja Possible Cooker (Crock Pot), and have used it several times. Recently though, it was developing a foul smell, so I stupidly chunked a fabric softener sheet in it and put it back into the cupboard. Only later did i realize how bad of an idea this was, because now it reeks of fabric softener and I don't want to use it again until I can be sure the smell and residue is completely gone. What would be the best way to remove strong smells like this?
Start by washing and drying thoroughly. Make sure that you’ve cleaned all of the removable parts, and check that there’s no residue in the base as well. Baking soda is food safe and removes odors well. Fill the pot with baking soda and put the lid on, then leave it for 3-5 days and check that the odor is gone.
Okay. Will try this, thanks!
Depending in the odor a good rinse with vinegar followed by some hot water can remove a lot of odors
Try boiling water in it.
Wash it out completely with soap and water let it dry out, then put white vinegar inside on high let it sit there for 10 minutes, then wash it again with soap and water everything should be gone... side note opening the lid after it sits on high with the vinegar might irritate your nose so best not to breath in when you open the lid.
