I’m pregnant with a two year old and my mom keeps telling me to leave and stay with xyz relative… none of whom I can actually live with. I was making progress earlier this week in finding a place but my child has been sick for the past six days so I haven’t really been able to continue the progress and have just been tending to her constantly. I mentioned to my biological dad that she keeps telling me to go stay with his parents despite already telling her that I’m not allowed to go there. This was his reply ^ I don’t even know how to reply
I’m tired of feeling stuck. Plus the amount of gifts I’ve gotten for her…. Just feeling bothered because the only people I have to talk to are all connected to me through her somehow or they’re friends with no idea about stuff like this.

That’s awful. I am sorry. I don’t know where you live and how much you make and etc. but if you are low income, you may have some luck.
Thank you. I make like 40ks per year which isn’t considered low income.
It should be considered low income given the current cost of living. I feel your pain though. I am not considered low income either.
I agree.. 🥲
I mean, he's right. There SHOULD be. There sometimes are, to an extent, but there should be more.
What I really want to see, what would've most helped me personally, was some sort of advocate-admin-assistant type role. It'd save the state money, too, by helping us avoid bigger (and far far 1000x more expensive!) problems. Sometimes we just need someone to make and answer phone calls on a timeline.
Yeah. But I’ve told him that I’ve tried. It’s like the same conversation.. I think he just wants me to join a church. That’s a separate conversation
We have that here in the UK. Independent advocacy services.
Theres more support if like you say, have low income but theres also some for single parents, parents and children with disabilities. Honestly though, its depends on the country.
It feels like here that if you are low income or on welfare/gov assistance. Its set up to keep you that way but not stable....theres always a worry of being sanctioned or reduced. For me, I would have to jump to a job that is high earning while having a disabled child and little to no support.
All governments need to focus on how to better support single parents. Our children are the future as well as anyone else's.
