for some reason, zweihander with giant hunt works well on malenia but when i tried it with greatsword... i always kept missing. the roll poke is still pretty strong tho.
That’s me with the Claymore and any straight sword, along with (I know these doesn’t count cause DLC weapons) Loyce Greatsword, , Rakuyo, Milady and Rellana’s twin blades.
Rakuyo became a nightmare for me like worse than a hunters nightmare(those who know😈) because of that two fucking sharks. I had no shamans boneblade. After i achieve it with blood, tear and sweats it didnt have blood effects. Also arent these kinda too late game? Respect for the Claymore tho,its the most handsome sword ever
In Elden Ring, the Zwei is, in my book, better than the Greatsword. So much more versatile IMO. Low weight, low stat reqs, good scaling when infused. What's not to love?
2500 hours on ER and I’ve had a Zwei in hand for at least 2 thousand of them. No matter the build I can get a Zwei with solid AR. My GOAT will never let me down
For my playstyle at least, light sweeps and heavy pokes is just the perfect combination. It deals with crowds and 1v1s so effectively. Im rarely feeling like i can't handle a situation with a Zwei.
Zweihander being a dexterity greatsword just felt like betrayal thats why i didnt used it and im actually serious lol. 580 hours and didnt even killed a boss with it
It’s STR scaling on heavy is quite literally the exact same as its DEX scaling on keen at A(140) (at least according to the fextra wiki which is uhhhhh dubious at best but idk where else to look)
It’s the best Col. Sword for Dex but it’s definitely still good on STR. The big issue is that’s it directly out damaged by GUTS on STR but their are still reasons one might use the Zwei over it. (Lower weight and the poke heavy)
Ludwig's Holy Blade does it for some people. Highest AR in the game, simple and effective moveset. Certainly not the most interesting or fun weapon for subsequent runs imo, especially considering how similar it is to the swords in every other Fromsoft game, but it is popular for a reason.
Oh yeah I tried the pizza cutter as well. Maybe an unpopular opinion, but I did NOT like it. Felt too... weighty and floaty simultaneously. I'm sure there's some timing to learn with it.
Amygdalan Arm is AWESOME, I highly recommend. It was actually perfect for Orphan, as I didn't have to get too close and could do tons of rolling R1s. It is a true mid-range weapon and a ton of fun. Like the Beast Cutter... but not absolute ass.
And I totally get that the pizza cutter wouldn’t work for everyone, it’s kind of a silly weapon, but very different from most of the other things I’d screwed around with in the past. Amygdalan Arm up next for sure!
I tried the Beast Cutter. I tried to like it, I really did. And there are a few cases where it's useful (long range pokes if you figure out the combos). Conceptually, it's a very cool weapon, but it just couldn't cut the mustard in the end.
I think my second run (probably waiting for very stable PC emulation, or some other 60fps method of playing the game tbh) will be a Dex run, maybe with the Saw Spear, Hunter's Saif, and perhaps Rakuyo in the late game.
I gotta say the Saif from the DLC takes the cake for me. It's pretty similar but the moveset is more aggressive, first R1 is a lunging attack that closes as much distance as a forward dash, then it combos like it's the Blade of Mercy. Transform attacks also make and close distance, it's such a fun weapon to use.
I LOVE FARMING THE SAME UNDEAD SETTLEMENT THRALL FOR HOURS I LOVE IT
on my most recent playthrough where i had zero intention of getting or using it i killed that fucker while clearing the area and he dropped it first try i was so pissed
When i get to play dlc i want to play dryleaf arts too and probably try all the new weapon classes but a feeling inside me says i will just beat it with the new red greatkatana because its a big katana.
Well if you didnt use it in your first playthrough it might not be that magicful to you like it is to us. Its a curved greatsword but has a very cool and artorias-like ash of war which deals terribly good damage also follow up attack makes you invincible for a second too
Yeah, I forget what weapon I started with, But I got the Winged Scythe pretty early.
Next playthrough I did Maliketh's Black Blade.
Current one is Using Mesmer's spear.
And I have my Goofy Invader character C-Sless Watcher with the Claws of Night (But I try not to use them if I don't have to).
Zweihander, my one and only true love ❤️❤️❤️
Tuffest sword ever

LOYCE GREATSWORD MENTIONED!!! 🗣️🗣️🗣️❄️❄️❄️ I LOVE THE WAY ITS HELD, ITS LOOK, ITS MOVESET! SEXY DEXY GREATSWORD MY BELOVED!!! ITS SO UNIQUE!!!

Idk man standart zwei has better scaling in dex in general
Who tf leaves their weapon on standard anyway

My one true love
From DS1 or 3? I love strength builds, but have yet to use this thing
Any of the games. All of them. Its a little different in each but its pretty solid in all of them
It’s good in both but the DS3 version gets S strength scaling so probably that one.
Never tried this one but sharpen weapon art is very attractive for me,is it worth to give it a shot?(speaking of dps)
Its by no means meta, its an axe moveset. But its beginner friendly and will be useful in anyones kit
Nothing in Bloodborne quite hits the spot like the saw cleaver/spear
Ludwig's Holy Blade does it for some people. Highest AR in the game, simple and effective moveset. Certainly not the most interesting or fun weapon for subsequent runs imo, especially considering how similar it is to the swords in every other Fromsoft game, but it is popular for a reason.
But I agree, the Saw weapons are insanely fun
Holy Blade was pretty fun!
I'm more of a Kirkhammer fan myself. On ym first full playthrough I went Axe -> Kirkhammer -> Beast Cutter -> Back to Kirkhammer -> Amygdalan Arm.
I actually beat Orphan of Kos after just picking up and learning the Arm. That thing is AMAZING for certain fights.
Oo the amygdalan arm is one I wanna try. I personally was pizza cutting my way through the Orphan last time I went after him
Oh yeah I tried the pizza cutter as well. Maybe an unpopular opinion, but I did NOT like it. Felt too... weighty and floaty simultaneously. I'm sure there's some timing to learn with it.

lol a fellow beast cutter hater 🫶

Spear & Saif were my besties for my first few playthroughs. The only weapon I really didn’t like at all was the Reiterpallasch.
Wonder if we ever will get that 60fps version to play with.
PC emulation is not super hard to hit 60fps afaik. I haven't checked in on the status of it in a while though.
You're sleeping on the hunter's axe
Axe go spinny, this is true
I gotta say the Saif from the DLC takes the cake for me. Saif, my beloved
Slash, transform, slash, transform back to old form, repeat. Unmatched
serrated, fast, good moveset and more importantly looks cool as hell
R1 L1 L1 L1 L1 hell yeah

Kilij my beloved
Didnt play demon souls but i will upvote cuz its a turkish word and sword lol
Zweihander, grass crest shield, havel's ring, ring of favor and protection...
"there is no 'right way to play'"
The right way to play:
Wot rings you got, bithc?
This is me with the ER Great Mace, the DS1 Claymore, the DS2 Bastard Sword, and Vordt's bonk stick.
Nice choices i love vordts frost machine too
Me with the Flamberge (farming it in ds3 was a goddamn nightmare and one of the main reasons why i started duping items and using cheat engine)
I LOVE FARMING THE SAME UNDEAD SETTLEMENT THRALL FOR HOURS I LOVE IT
on my most recent playthrough where i had zero intention of getting or using it i killed that fucker while clearing the area and he dropped it first try i was so pissed
My brother (who also wasn't overly interested) got it the first time as well on his second playthrough, that was such bullshit
Its very good in theory but the farming as you mention is a torment for me so i always end up not using it
I mainly love the look and also the funny amount of damage the weapon art does
I've beaten bloodborne like 20 times atp and used the saw cleaver for 90% of those runs. Peak weapon design
This is the Hunter's Axe for me. That thing will send enemies twice your size flying!

uchigatana, espada ropera, lothric knight GS, saw cleaver, milady
Trvth nvke
Me with the Lothric Knight Long Spear of all things in DS3.
I mean its a good pokestick
Crescent axe in DS1 for me, and Grand Lance in DS2
Me with the lothric knight sword 😍
Nah, only zweihander, Ds1, Ds2, Ds3, Elden Ring only Zweihander, only, Z W E I H A N D E R ! !
i feel you. every time i play sekiro i always stick to kusabimaru.
saw cleaver is the best weapon in any soulsborne ever, it’s so good i love itttt
That fuckass crescent blade in demon's souls
For me it's; Greatsword, Zweihander, Greatsword, Ludwig the holy blade, Greatsword, Kusabimaru, Greatsword (By the release order of the games)
Zweihänder, GCS, elite knight armor my beloved
Am I the only one who switched weapons?
I started with Arcane, followed by Spear, then Anchor, to Perfume bottle, to melee fisticuffs.
If i change weapons so much i get bored easily so i dont like to do it often
I replayed the game 7 times at launch and 7 times around when the dlc launch.
I like having a new weapon per playthrough. Tried the scythe, the pizza wheel, berserker sword, gransax spear ( love this ) spells, etc.
Bolt of Gransax
Dane footwork
Ghiza Wheel
Beast Claw
Probably would go back to these ones for sure.
When i get to play dlc i want to play dryleaf arts too and probably try all the new weapon classes but a feeling inside me says i will just beat it with the new red greatkatana because its a big katana.
What weapon do you use in Sekiro?
I use the niche build of kusabimaru with attack power/vitality
I always pick the Cane in Bloodborne. It’s calling meee…
low-key I enjoy using Chikage, my goat
https://preview.redd.it/q2uljlyokn6g1.jpeg?width=828&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=53a28c6dec6fc2a8d30364c2a89e9f556c71de2b
Bloodborne: Threaded Cane & Top Hat
Elden Ring: Astrologer & Gravity Magic
Me with the Claymore on any DS3 playthrough, it's just SO FUCKING GOOD.
The catacombs Black Knight calls to me at ds1 and asks if I like gambling for the axe.
Gavlan calls to me in No Man's Warf to pay him for the axe.
Vordt's Hammer calls to me and asks if I'm willing to fight the annoyance called Curse Rotted Great wood this run.
The Scaly Misbegotten call to me and ask how long I'm willing to grind for their axe.
Hunter's Axe is just chilling in the dream, he's a real homie.
For me it's; Greatsword, Zweihander, Greatsword, Ludwig the holy blade, Greatsword, Kusabimaru, Greatsword (By the release order of the games)
I probably should do a Bloodhound's fang playthrough at some point but I keep ending up with Dex/Faith weapons.
Well if you didnt use it in your first playthrough it might not be that magicful to you like it is to us. Its a curved greatsword but has a very cool and artorias-like ash of war which deals terribly good damage also follow up attack makes you invincible for a second too

A raimi Spiderman meme on this sub?
You guys have excellent taste ngl
Best spiderman imo
Spidey vs Doc Ock in Spiderman 2 was awesome absolutely.
pov: you like shit weapons because reddit told you they are good(except saw cleaver, this one is actually good)
F tier ragebait bro boo
it's ragebait only if all you know about the game comes from reddit
Aight dude you know the game💀
