• Bro, this picture rocks

I just realized, after seeing this picture mabye 20 times, that those aren’t huge, man-sized syringes, but it’s just the camera angle that makes them seem so big lol

Look at how big the background ones are though

With the angle, those must be like 6 times bigger than freeman

Those could also just be closer to the camera, no?

Closer than freeman, whom they are behind? Nonsense

They realy are just huge lul. Or thats how its interpreted in gifs and such ive seen on the half life subreddit.

    They're normal, it's just Freeman who's small.

  • I'm beginning to think about if any of you who are complaining played any of those games

E33 wasn't hated before it became popular, now it is, so it has to be hated. Cycle of the internet

Legit a week ago everyone was agreeing E33 was the best game and will swipe most awards, now a week later everyone calls it not that good.

Out of all the awards the only I can say it didn't had chance to get was RPG that should have gone to KCD2 but for everything else?

    Well whatever I guess,still a fair choice.

Widely accepted popular things always draw the extremely loud minority of people that are desperate to let everyone know they're "not like everyone else" because they hate "popular thing".

I don’t think it’s a desire to seem different (usually), I think it’s a result of being annoyed with constantly seeing praise for this popular thing everywhere.

    These people are “Hipsters”.

They’ve been around even before the internet.

I feel like the fact that E33 won RPG of the year instead of KCD2, despite KCD2 being miles better RPG is the general sentiment

but glazing new product that no one knows of makes you based. Glazing the same product when it's popular, despite nothing changing in it, makes you a loser. That's the internet standard

probably the E33 fans were the louder ones prior and the E33 haters are the louder ones now

personally i think it's weird they allow games to win so many categories but i also don't care because it just seems like a publicity thing

What you mean? E33 is literally a Turn base RPG like ye old final fantasy

I hate to be the one to break this to you, but JRPGs haven’t been true RPGs for like, decades.

Well yeah but rpg does that for role play game and i feel like thats like kcd2 entire thing , even more so than in e33. And im saying this as someone who didnt enjoy kcd2 that much and liked e33.

I agree rpg shouldve gone to kcd2, eventhough im a big fanboy of e33, it shouldnt have won rpg over kcd2. But then again wuthering wave shouldnt have won voice acting cuz tbh the voice acting (in english) in that game is atrocious.

It shouldn’t have won the best indie game of the year award either

I did, e33 is a stellar story, good performance, neat combat, and some interesting combat. But kcd2 should have at least won some of it. I for one dont understand wheres the rpg in e33.

what is this insane take I keep seeing that e33 is not an rpg? It’s a turn based jrpg through and through with the types of systems you would expect from one.

I’m a kcd fan but I’m sorry this take of pedantically nitpicking the genre is just in bad faith.

the RPG candidates just make no sense

tell me whats common between Avowed, E33, KCD2, Outer Worlds 2 and MH Wilds

that you control a...human? Is that all you need to call a game "RPG"? Is every single videogame on the market "an RPG"?

roleplaying wise, KCD2 has no match, it is so over E33 while E33 has barely any role playing features at all which is why anyone can agree that it isnt a Role Playing Game, but more like an Adventure game with JRPG systems

RPG category in general is just kinda like that.

Back in the day when they were developing the first RPGs, they were trying to emulate the tabletop versions, but that’s pretty hard to do on limited hardware, so they did the parts they could do, like turned based combat, experience points, and levels.

Now with more powerful hardware, we can actually emulate some of those things from tabletop RPGS, like customizable characters, decision making, and dynamic story that responds to the player.

The thing is though, both of these are still considered RPGs. The category isn’t well defined, and it’s hard to get the record straight with the legacy of older RPGs being different to however you might define it now.

it’s an RPG because it fits the classic “RPG” style, the JRPG, which was considered an RPG because the other games at the time were shit like mario, castlevania, and streets of rage.

Having classes, a leveling system, and turn based combat is what makes games in that style an RPG even if it isn’t open-ended like BG3.

E33 is a JRPG which is not going to look anything like say a Skyrim style RPG. The category is so widespread that it’s honestly hard to even compare fairly. So I think either KCD2 or E33 are fair as winners

RPG stands for “Role-Playing Game”, which just feels like… literally every video game ever made?

Rpgs these days really are just "oh you got an inventory? Its rpg!" The moment something has a story its suddenly rpg. They need to stop with that

at this point RPG is more of a subgenre than an actual genre itself

I get that it’s a jrpg, and I am not upset to see it gobbling up as many awards possible but, I’ve never understood what role you play in a Japanese role playing game? Like, in every single one that I have played, you are locked in with certain characters who do not change, there’s very little narrative agency, etc. Like compared to Baldurs gate, mass effect, or other western RPGs where you make a character, their backstory, their class etc and play an actual role, a jrpg hardly fits the definition.

Like, they’re just turn based narrative action games? What “role” do you take on in a jrpg?

You.. you take on the role of the characters you play as? Just like in Baldur's Gate?!

All of the characters in E33 have backgrounds and character specific abilities and skills, and there's a significant amount of character development and change over the course of the game. The story and overall narrative is considered one of the best in years, not just by critics but a significant amount of players.

If you're talking about other JRPG games like Final Fantasy, Persona, or Chrono Trigger then those also have; characters with stories and backgrounds and development, and character or class specific abilities and skills.

Your logic would mean games like Diablo or other ARPGs are also not real RPGs. Which gets to the point of splitting hairs for the sake of pedantry

No, you play a role. When I play a character in an RPG sometimes I do it as myself, other times I “role play” as someone else. A villain, a coward, a selfless hero. But I have agency and get to choose.

You don’t have that agency in any JRPG (that I have played). You are railroaded with a specific character and their specific outcomes. You don’t get to make choices, the narrative is set. If playing as Maelle means you’re playing a role, then so is playing Dante in Devil may cry. Or Simon in soma. The narrative is set, the player has no agency in who the character is.

There are lots of different types of RPG, it's probably the largest and most amorphous genre in gaming. JRPGs are more focused on the story and characters themselves rather than player agency - they want to tell a specific story, the player takes on the role of the protagonists to facilitate telling that story. Usually they're turn based like Final Fantasy.

What you seem to be thinking most of are ARPGs (The Witcher, Elder Scrolls games, Mass Effect) and TRPGs (BG3, Pathfinder games, Pillars of Eternity), where choices matter player agency and freedom take precedent.

That's absolutely valid, and great! It doesn't make JRPGs less of RPGs though!

Also yes, when you play DMC or Soma you take on the "role" of those characters, that's how most games work, but that's getting real pedantic and into weird semantics that I don't think is worth the effort.

Exactly why RPG should stand for "RolePlaying Games" and not stat increases and level system. It's just such a unique gaming experience and it sucks RPG as a label is used so broadly

As an E33 shill who didn't even play kc2 I disagree. To me RPGs need role playing, choices with consequences. I know RPG has become a bit of a catch all but KC2 has more RPG mechanics than E33 and they do it VERY well from what I understand it is board line a survivor Sim at the start ad you build up with choices and risk assessment.

E33 has one meaningful choice, and don't get me wrong it's great but as far as role playing goes I feel like kc2 could have had this one

There's very little freedom of choice in E33, which to me is the cornerstone of good rpgs like Witcher, KCD2 and Mass Effect.

    [deleted]

You’re trying to say silksong had better art direction than e33?

I"m just wondering why anyone still gives a fuck about award shows. OMG a game i played was given an award squirt squirt. OMG a game i played didn't get an award od on aspirin.

Not a complainer just a guy who didn’t even know the game existed till yesterday night lol. I do know some people like that. My friend booed when arc raiders won multiplayer game and he’s never even played nor watched a video of the game

E33 just isnt that great in my opinion. They style just looks kind of generic, the story is good, yeah, but i didnt like the combat, and the music frankly sounds quite generic. Didnt deserve NINE FUCKING AWARDS.

the music is generic??? what the fuck are you on bruh

  • Its Donkey Kong Bananzover.

look at least we got an absolutely stellar performance of Heart Of Gold

I never thought it was going to win anyway, regardless of the quality of the game

  • I cant belive E33 won GOTY in the Expedition 33 Awards

  • I feel like dispatch got cock blocked and should have won something

It was always going to be tough for them considering it came out like a week before the nominations dropped.

does moist critical getting content creator of the year count as an award for dispatch

Tbh I don’t think he would’ve gotten it without being in dispatch so

nah e33 totally deserved not just winning best performance (which is completely fair imo) but having 3 out of the 6 total nominations

People cry for diversity of appreciation until their favorite game sweeps and they forget those words even existed.

I just hope they don't take it as an L and not make season 2, although they'd be stupid if they don't

I mean who cares about the awards, what matters is that it sold very good and got very good reviews and rep.

They should have won Player's Voice, but the Cave Trolls decided to go with Wuthering for a free 10x pull.

If you watch the live stream, everyone cheers for every game during players choice except wuthering

That is because the Cave Trolls were at home watching this on their second monitor while adding another layer to their cheese dick.

Aaron Paul at least deserved a best performance nomination.

Bro the only reason people like that game is because of the voice actors. If dispatch was casted by normal unknown VA's it'd have like 4 total players.

It's a telltale clone with reddit millennial humour, I could go on steam right now and find 8 different games with the furry tag that are better gameplay wise then dispatch

I feel like it should win nothing as it did

What about dispatch is original? It's a telltale style generic superhero thing with 2010s era millennial humor.

Let’s be real that game does not deserve anything except a “used popular people for advertisement of a decent game connected to a bad story”

  • It is, though I believe it shouldn't have been nominated for Debut Indie and Independent. It's a AA game.

Oh well, Mouse will get 'em next year

I swear people will call literally anything not made by EA, Ubisoft, Nintendo, Rockstar or Sony affiliated brands indie nowadays. I thought it was supposed to mean small studios not established developers that just aren’t multi billion dollar companies

  • It was the most accessible game to most critics, all the other banger games like Silksong and KCD2 were too hard for most of them so they got skipped.

Not enough yellow piss paint 😔

At least E33 having it stand out makes sense given that it's expedition navigation equipment. Not a huge fan of yellow paint esque stuff, but it was done well in this particular game IMO.

Elden ring is hard, and it got goty?

Elden ring is the most accessible souls-like by far tho

Yeah, but soulslike are glazed regardless

Because elden ring is a souls like. Souls like games are already popular and only excepted genre to be hard. Any pther genre would be blamed to not accessible by critics if it were even half as hard a souls game. But they can't say same thing for souls likes because they know people just day "git gut" Or "skill issue"

    “Source: my ass”

    Silk song got a award

one award. while e33 got like 10

Yeah, but op said zero and skipped. It haven't been skipped since there's one

Just means there was probably like one critic who played the Original HK and had faith in TC, and since E33 wasn't available, the critics didn't really care what got the best action adventure.

It was robbed of best Art direction imo. I can't see what E33 did that was special or unique in that category at all.

ori has smoother visuals, but that's not inherently better. they're pretty, but generic and boring lush environments. silksong actually has style. their art direction isn't even remotely similar, if you think they are you don't understand what art direction is.

expedition 33 is very visually cluttered compared to elden ring. they're just both dramatic and realistic, but e33 leans too hard on being 'artsy'.

So that's the definition of gothic art. Unnecessarily cluttered and artsy with an overload of details.

Minimalists hate it, but it's still considered on of the form of peak art hundred of years later

that's one convention of gothic art, and I would argue art deco and the Belle Époque period has more influence over the games visual style. Just having an art direction doesn't make it well done (although it's not poorly done either), everything can be labelled.

I'm not a minimalist, and I don't hate it (I took 332 screenshots during my playthrough). It's a pretty game, but has generally predictable cinematic story game art direction with an avant garde and slightly surreal twist, which have been increasingly popular tropes in the last 2 decades

    The best reasoning

Yeah, I also think thats what is happening because I remember most critics were complaining about e33 was too hard to play and parry. I can't imagine someone cant even parry on e33 will be playing kcd2 at all. Also its a direct quote from a youtuber "I can't believe people where complaining about real time events in videogames but this year a game that only made from real time events win best rpg of the year" Hsgsjs that was funny

How do you explain Sekiro winning in 2019 then?

  • Indie is the only award I am 100% disagree with. Otherwise its not that E33 is that good, its just there weren't really any competition

Honestly? Kcd2 should have had rpg in the bag. But meh other than that yeah it was pretty barren and 33 was pretty damn good. So wasn't surprised, considering team cherry doesn't give a single fuck about TGA, and the feelings mutual so it was a pretty steady wash..

Half-life 3 eventually I'll wheeze into my oxygen mask at the age of fuckig eighty.

It winning best rpg over kcd 2 is fucking bullshit.

how much I love E33 I agree. I don't know where the Role Playing Game is in E33, but I haven't encountered it

I think people changed the meaning of RPG to "vaguely upgrading skills and equipping weapons"

An rpg is a game that uses statistical gameplay systems, with character development and that follows the lineage of games descendent of d&d. E33 has all of it, a game telling an on-rails story doesn't make it not an rpg. It's silly that it got rpg win over kcd2 though, e33 is a better game but kcd2 is a much better rpg.

This man has his head more up his ass than most corrupt politicians

Dick sucking has made me paranoid

I had this plan to give head to a man and receive head from a woman to test if I was gay, but it’s backfired and now I become borderline schizo whenever I go outside. I offered to suck this dude off on Grindr who lives very close by (I ended up pussying out) and I accidentally gave him some details that very easily allows him to spot me out in a crowd. I have no idea what he looks like and whenever I see a somewhat in shape guy walking by I immediately accuse him of being the dude I was gonna blow.

I went to the store today to pick up some zucchini for a barbecue and every time a car drove by I stared into the windshield to see if I was about to be recognised. Whenever I make eye contact with a dude I microanalysis his facial expressions to see if he suspects me or not. I am deeply afraid that he is my neighbour and I will need to move if my identity is blown. It’s a lot like the last scene in sopranos where everyone who walked into the diner could be there to wack Tony.

    No competition? KCD2?

No competition. Silksong breaking the store being a highly anticipated game for years, kcd2 a gem of its time. You're COPING brother.

Not saying there was no competition but Silksong breaking stores was because of there being no pre-orders so everyone was trying to buy the game at the same time and overloading the servers.

Monster Hunter Wilds has twice the peak player count as Silksong on steam, BF6 had a higher peak player count than silksong as well both of these games came out this year and would have broke the store without pre-orders just like Silksong.

Silksong is 100% valid, TGA just haye Team Cherry for some reason (tried beating Hollow Knight and then Silksong and realised its too hard for them lol), kcd2 though?

    Ehhhhh...

Look. I've seen people talk about it and it was popular on release. But it was not Silksong/E33/Deltarune ch3 and 4 popular.

Honestly its pretty ridiculous that e33 won in indie and rpg. I love the game but its not an indie at all and its hardly what id call an rpg either. I guess the voters dont really care about the technicalities.

Everything else, I fully agree on its placing. I think its just because its a heavy story game and people tend to yap about it constantly that makes others annoyed and call it overhyped/hate it. I dont hang around the communities, so I never see that so its not the case me for me lol. Its just apparent that everyone saying it didnt deserve winning almost always mentions that its overhyped.

I will gladly glaze e33. Expedition 33 was like, the biggest cock block to kcd2 and silk song, and silk song was ALREADY overshadowing other great indie games when it dropped. These games raised the bar so high that there wasn't any competition left. It's just THAT good.

And I'll glaze E33 too like crazy, but ut was just to say, damn we are good this year

Crazy? I was crazy once. They locked me in a room. A rubber room. A rubber room with rats. And rats make me crazy. Crazy? I was crazy once. They locked me in a room. A rubber room. The competition:

Bug game sequel that didn't live up to its original.

Henry simulator that didn't live up to it's original.

Fuckass telltale super hero game with moist critical and Jesse pink man.

    Donkey Kong.

    Walking simulator 2.

    Hades 2

Ill give them pairing E33 against Monster Hunter was kind of wack because let's be real no one gives a fuck about the story of MHWilds. But KCDII was killer. Maybe they didnt like Katherine with her annoying voice?

  • I honestly didn't like it I tried it out too, not from watching someone play it. Not my kind of game

Same, played it for a couple hours, never really enjoyed it, didnt touch it again.

Yeah , it got too repetitive for me, and turn based combat didn't help . But I can see how it can appeal to some people who like these types of games

  • The game is good, the only award I think it didn't really deserve is the RPG one. It should have been KCD2

And best indie. Had 4 studios and almost 10million put into it. Silksong had 3 people and an iTunes gift card for a budget. Completely different scales

"Silksong had 3 people and an iTunes gift card for a budget" Hey, you are underplaying the role iTunes Gift Card, some indie Devs have even less budget to work with! 😔

Hollow Knight sold 15 million copies. At $15 a copy that's $225 million. Even discounted to $5 that's still $75 million total. They had plenty of budget

Yeah but they made all the money themselves not like e32 where they were given a budget by big studios

What? Why does it matter where the money came from? Both games had lots of money to work with. Thats the point? If they had won it gambling or spent 50 years working at Wendy's to get it, it's the same money?

Indie means "independant" IE not dependant on a studio, so if they were funded by a AA studio that means they aren't "indie" anymore, you get what I mean?

Yeah, I don't think that person knows

  • It is good, but it's still crazy to me that Silksong crashed every digital Storefront just to get one Awards in the only category where Expedition 33 was not nominated together with it

No one really knew about E33 when it launched. Everyone knew about Silksong when it launched.

E33: "Look I can explain several awar-"

Silksong: "SEVERAL? I only won ONE!"

KCD2: "One award? I didn't even get any awards, only nominations!"

Citizen Sleeper 2: "You guys are getting nominations?"

  • the annual game awards show happened last night and Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 was nominated for a large number of the categories and took home 11 of the awards including game of the year and some other controversial categories such as indie and rpg game. Similarly, half life 3 was hoped to be revealed but to no avail was clearly not and thus copium.

  • Bro, dodging hype like it’s my part-time job

  • Im mostly pissed wuthering waves won players voice like cmon bro HOWWWWW

Oh right they paid their players to vote for them and basically bought their votes😒😒😒

Edit: i thought they gave premium currency if players voted for them in players voice ig they didnt mb

As a Wuwa player, i also think E33 and Silksong are better games (i voted for the latter). But player's voice is a 100% fan voted category, and Wuwa's community voted the most for the game they wanted to win. Whether you agree with the results or not, it's the only category where the winner is solely decided by popularity/community involvement, and not objective rating.

Oh right they paid their players to vote for them and basically bought their votes😒😒😒

At this point i feel like every live service game that wins a voting contest will get angry people accusing them of "buying votes".
People were saying the exact same thing in 2022 just because Genshin won the Player's voice award.

But again, none of the devs from either games communicated about TGA or promised any rewards to encourage players to vote for them. Saying that they cheated is just salty talk imo.

  • and silksong only won ONE AWARD BRO

    pure bullshit

It doesnt matter how good a game is if another game beats it sadly ): I have mad respect for it though

e33 beats silksong in best indie somehow AND art direction 😭

If e33 was allowed to win only one thing it would be Best Art Direction. Saying silksong had better art direction is crazy. It’s good but it’s not better than e33.

Hand drawn art vs unreal engine assets, yeah sure buddy

Good guy Tim Sweeny personally modeled every hair on E33’s guy’s balls. What a lad.

ofcourse because art direction=graphics and unreal engine assets. e33 literally looks like any other ue5 game

Because every other ue5 game takes place in Belle Epoque France with literal paint drawn upon each horizon, with a masterful precision of lighting, shadows, and of flowing scenes contrasting the jagged lines etched not only in the environment, but the UI and characters, and even the narrative itself. Oh but that's just every ue5 game, right? Art direction, involves the composition of any given art, which is different from the graphical fidelity of the medium.

Game has Bilewater, so the fact that it won something is already a miracle.

    Someone missed Wreath of purity

Kcd2 didn't win any at all

  • If only UNBEATABLE didn’t come out 2 days before TGA

  • I really wished I liked that style of turn based gameplay because I want to play it more and see what all the hype is about, but I just do not care for it

  • Idk why I thought this whole party and comments was in defense of dispatch being amazing an rpg 😭 I got them mixed up

  • Kcd2 robbed

  • They gave me 3 different 6 figure job offers after I simply BOUGHT the game dude. I CANNOT imagine what happens if I actually play it.

  • throwing myself in the canals goop after tga

  • It is really fucking good if you like turn based rpgs. I personally hate them with passion.

  • As a Mega Man Classic fan I am genuinely so sorry for y'all Half-Life fans, we weren't expecting that announcement either

  • "As someone who bought it solely because of the musical score, I think it's the whole turn-based RPG package. It's not perfection at all, but it nails almost everything it does. I agree: It truly is that good."
...is what I would say to anyone who genuinely asked for my opinion without trying to rebuttal with how other games deserve more awards.

"You can kill mimes by setting them on fire, so yes" is what I would say to anyone else.

  • I never played it so I don’t have any real things to contribute but it had to have been a little disheartening for the other devs to win practically NOTHING because E33 took so many awards. I’m sure it’s a great game and the art and music that I saw during the awards were absolutely gorgeous but it just feels so bad to know they swept and very few other games/devs got recognized.

  • UE5 deteced, GOTY rejected.

  • Facts, but wtf is Gordon doing? 😭 Is he ok? He don't look so good 🥀

What no half life 3 does to a mf

  • I mean, The Game Awards hasn't been about giving awards to the best games for years, possibly ever. It's about giving awards to the company willing to pay the most for a healthy advertising boost.

  • E33 was great, but this universal heaping of praise towards it is definitely overblown.

  • Oh boy a niche-ish new IP with a little dystopian atmosphere in a weak year people be like THIS IS THE BEST GAME EVER like it’s good but cmon

  • Tbh I think if more people would have voted who are more casual gamers them it would not have won as many as it did, the only one I'm super mad about it willing is indie its more AA then anything

  • Its in my top 15 games of all time along with the Witcher 3, Disco Elysium, Nier, etc

  • I bet it probably is pretty good but my main two things is. (1) this game is not and indie game it had like a main team of 30 people but like at least 100 other people worked on the game including Hollywood actors and stuff. I mainly just feel bad for silk song which was made by 3 whole people btw and they didn’t even show up to the game awards because they knew e33 muscled its way into a category it didn’t really belong in and was gonna win everything. (2) some announcements were awesome but honestly the “award” part of the show was just insanely boring because e33 won so many times the award show was not interesting. I mean maybe this sounds like hate, I’m sure the game is great and I may play it but it was frustrating because of how many other awesome games came out this year and so many got shafted by this game.

  • however much I love E33, I don't see where the Role Playing part of RPG comes in, I must've missed it

Apparently in big 2025 RPG game means upgrading skills and... uh... equipping weapons?

I'd argue that original God of War is also an RPG game if E33 is

    edit:

after being ratioed by people explaining what and RPG really is and where it comes from, I concede, I was wrong. I had a skewed view of RPG genre

  • It is actually

  • In the OG hope one it looked like Harry Halflife is standing proud, and yet in this one, with nothing changed he appears to be laying on the ground… interesting

  • Now do it of a titanfall pilot

  • Haven’t played it but have only ever heard really good things about it until now

  • i got so tired of watch those french beret bastards sitting in the audience utterly failing to play it cool, giggling and nudging each other teehee ready to le win le another? TGA was just clair obscure glaze fest 2025. i know it's a good game but come on.

i'm also definitely playing it now i guess.

  • It IS that good.

  • I think it’s kinda funny bc I don’t know anyone who played or even heard about it, besides the occasional YouTuber (which they’d always praise it), and personally it just looked like a regular turn based rpg with some dialogue options (I think?)

Out of all the games to come out this year, it looked the least interesting, but clearly it’s a work of art given how many people defend it so idk man. For a regular guy like me and my friends, this game sounds like that joke people throw around of “industry plant” but instead when you look inside it isn’t- same time though, the only people I see who adore this game are online so idk- it’s apparently utter peak🤷

  • ITT: People upset that the best game to be released this year won GOTY

  • I do not like turn based combat outside of like PokeRogue and I don't particularly have an affinity for RPGs similar to final fantasy. However, I really like E33. It simply is a good game. Best game in 9 categories? Idk, didn't play all the games in every category. But I dismissed it because it wasn't a genre I liked and despite that I still loved it.

  • I just don’t like those kinds of games, and so many of them are too samey, for me.

  • The awards are deserved, but I think it taking 9/11 awards kinda robbed other games of any awards at all, not that it's not deserved

  • Im always downvoted for stating this opinion but man the end of act2 of this game is fucking terrible it literally made me turn off my ps5 and come back to it 2 days later to finish the game

The plot twist makes the whole story/characters feels like nothing matters and i couldn't care at all about them after.

Anyways rant ranted, overall good art style and gameplay. 10/10 game up until end of act2. 2/10 after that

  • 6/10 game with an absurd amount of pr.

when most AAA games being released are 2/10 a 6/10 looks like a masterpiece.

I never understood what is always wrong with people talking down on 6 to 7 rated games? In my eyes games in this rating are considered decent. And that is not a bad thing imo.

The context is that it won GOTY and a bunch of other awards at TGA lol. A game like that should basically be a 10 if not a special sort of 9.

I’m not talking down on it there is people calling e33 game of the decade

    Amen.

Great world design and decent story. But the core gameplay loop was boring AF.

  • It's turn based.... Only turn based games I think are still relevant are phone games.... But what do I know... Very little apparently

  • I played it and think it deserved pretty much every award it won - the only one I disagree with is Best RPG, very much believe it should’ve gone to KCD2. That game is about as pure and incredible an RPG as one could possibly fathom.

  • There are 2 types of people, those who havent watched or played E33

    and E33 fans

  • It's an indie game with depression and good visuals.

There was no way it could possibly lose.
