I see a foreigner dude straight up borderline spear tackle some middle schooler at the convenience store.
But this is insane, some random dude is on full blast speaking gibberish English. Correction, shouting random English erotica. He’s been doing this for the past 30 minutes (I’m on a long ride). He’s just mindlessly shouting English words.

I know there’s a recession, but wtf is going on. This is a one and a half hour commute.

Which line is that? I ride Line 2 daily for the past few years and have never seen anything out of the ordinary. To say it's boring and soal-crashing would be an understatement. Absolutely NOTHING out of the ordinary ever happens, at least not when I'm riding.

I have noticed that etiquette on the metro in Shanghai is trash. Nothing as crazy as you've mentioned, but lots of standing in other people's way, standing in the middle of the escalator and not allowing people to pass, loud music or sound effects with no earphones (this is particularly cunty) and not allowing people to exit the train before boarding themselves.
I've seen most of these behaviors in other cities, but they seem more commonplace and intense in Shanghai, which does come as a surprise to me.
Today was a shocker for sure. If it was just the usual stuff, I would’ve just stomached it.
You've got to remember a lot of Chinese people are just simply stupid and therefore rude. This is a reality, though possibly offensive, that many of my Chinese friends have told me.

I have seen people pee and poo in public everywhere in China, including in fields, train stations, libraries, and near a tomb. I think pooing in urinals is kind of educated behavior, at least easier for the cleaner.
