• Fast, yes, but given the comments on the original, this is apparently neither skilled/precise nor safe/healthy. (Yum, fumes, for one.)

    • it doesn't need to be that precise soldering is effectively magic with how well it fixes itself, and this isn't even soldering.
    • this probably isn't unhealthy. The fumes are not exactly great to inhale, but they aren't as bad as many people still think since it's no longer lead
    • this is definitely skilled

It absolutely is unhealthy. there literally isnt a single metal fume that is safe to breathe. there's varying degrees to it sure but let's not start spreading the idea that doing work like this without proper ventilation and protection is fine

You're not inhaling metal fumes. It's the rosin and flux inside the solder core. To be inhaling lead or tin fumes it would have to be on the order of 1500c.

Looks like there is proper ventilation in this video.

For a fast single job its fine but not like many hours and daily.

Leaded or lead free, the fumes are the rosin and flux, not metal.

  • Where is the solder coming from? Magic or clever edits?

To my amateur magician eyes, it’s being fed from the palm, maybe a spool sitting beside them.

I came here to point out how this person should pursue magic cuz they have the manual dexterity for it already lol
