Yeah idk where this huge disconnect came from where chopping wood has come to be known as a difficult task that requires immense amounts of strength
Split an entire freshly chopped locust tree once. I have never been that sore again in my life. This is a breeze compared to that wood. Had to use a 15lb splitting maul and a sledge a few times when the maul got stuck in the big knots
If you did this for longer than a week you'd get good at it too. You get good at literally anything when you do it enough. But none of y'all have built any real skills to realize that 😭😭😭
I've never once considered "Karma Points" as an impactful resource in my life. I'm sorry You do. Odd way to self humble-brag btw.
putting a log in a tyre before chopping. excellent
Done it. It works. No chasing wood everywhere.
im sure it but I wonder how many people practice it. haven't done it in years .
How does it work with pieces of wood that do not fit exactly into the tire?
Get a bigger tyre?
Or a smaller one.
Or with a log that doesn't split so smoothly
That was fucking sick
This is 50% wood species, 30% moisture content, 20% skill.
15% concentrated power of will
5% pleasure
I agree. Let him throw a piece of dry oak with a couple of small knots inside of the tire.

Most people don’t have a 6 pound maul and let it do the work 😋
We use hardwood where I’m from, this looks like heaps of fun compared to my pile
