That's a beautiful site. And hey, no matter what happens this season, barring some monumental collapse of biblical proportions, it's safe to say the Sabres improved this year. Winning 13 out of 14 games drives that point to the bank.

And all the teams above us that we could conceivably pass (so not including the top three in metro), had gotten at least 14/20 points in their last ten games while we got 18 and a few had 16. Imagine winning 9 of 10 and only gaining 2 points of ground… what the fffffff
Got Detroit, Tampa and Montreal all ahead, but all are catchable.
Just my vibe, but I don't see Detroit or Montreal as better teams. I think both could as easily win 5 in a row as well as lose 5 in a row.
Also Tampa has the most guys going to the Olympics, I can see a fade at the end of the year, as that is a lot of extra going on there.
Toronto coming back and Florida finally getting healthy kids worry a bit, however I don't see any team in the Atlantic as better, and am at the point where I like how the depth of the Sabres hold up vs everyone in the East.

Leafs are 7-0-2 and beat Vancouver 5-0 last night. They’re playing well like us.
Some of these teams have also played one or two games more than us - big week of 4 games coming up here.
