The lyrics is very straightforward, without any hidden meanings or agenda. Very lewd and obscene, especially during first half of the 'creative period'. Like songs about dirty socks, or venerial deceases, or about bums or corrupt cops.
I like it, it expressed the spirit of the Russia's late 80s and the 90s as is, without embelishment or lofty allegories. IMO the band's songs are generally less obscene or silly than they give them credit for, some songs are about romantic and/or tragic topics.
As far as I know, they weren't accepted by Russian rock intelligence, whom I can't stand even more. And it makes me proud of this band because they're from my city. I live close to the stadium, and they're playing the very same songs of Sector over and over. Probably it makes the crowd cohesive and deep patriotic vibes that couldn't be explained in words.
Dad used to play them instead of lullabies to me (he be like that). It's difficult to not be nostalgic before considering everything else. I can't hate it even if normally I'd probably wouldn't listen to their songs at all lol

To be honest, I never understood why anyone would like it.
The lyrics are completely tasteless and lack any depth. The sound is terrible, the music is weak, the themes are boring, and the vocals are weak too.
