It's cause you're using Yandex Translate which is ass outside of English-Russian/Russian-English. The Irish word you're looking for is talúnach according to Google Translate, although that translates back to landowner, so maybe the word earthling just doesn't exist in Irish, idk.
Well I made a generalization that maybe wasn't completely true, but the OP should understand that you can't just input a niche word, into a niche translator to a niche language and expect the output to be good.

Used it for french-russian/russian-french and english-french/french-english, shows pretty good translations
