Surprisingly most goths don't do drugs as much as one might think. That's pretty "normal" partying for that scene around that time. I've been to those kind of parties (in more usual locations though). Usually people have beers or some weed at most.

But just to be clear, goths and punks have been a thing in Germany since the 80s and are still around, although not quite as much anymore. So, I'm not quite sure what you mean by 'era'. They've been here for decades and are very different scenes and cybergoths are a separate subculture doing their own thing.
It was so funny, it was so clear Vita wanted to go with punk as soon as she heard what the song options were. She picked the queens that were the most alt there, they sat there together looking like a 2000s goth meet up in a graveyard and she went "we have to do disco and I am not changing my mind about that." And everyone just believed that. I know who's winning the acting challenges.
These girlies know the deal by now. When you get to this part of the show, you fight over one of the stupid ass songs lol. It's television, they ALL KNOW what to do, and they performed this mandatory reality competition show scene beautifully.
I don't believe any of these queens were earnestly fighting over these songs lol.
