  • Reading it back now, I'm very aware it would fit in there lol

    If I don’t run

    THE WHOLE DAY IS TRASH😳

Everyone go to sleep so I can get to tomorrow 😬🤷‍♀️

  • No it’s fine, You’re a Runsexual, once he found out about this and how much you probably talk about running he woulda left anyway.

    Good riddance

I was Runsexual for a little in college.

Everyone goes through a run-sexual phase in college … maybe you do an undie run or a color run to test the waters but then your knees hurt and you realize you’re more of a motorist and you circle the parking lot to try and find the closest slot to the front

  • No. Its just right now you know running better than you know him. All my relationships started out that way. But eventually you could grow to like the person equally to the extent you are willing to prioritize them

  • Just get the seasoning right and it’ll be fine.

  • Honestly I've never understood this, running is definitely important to me but it's not even close to the most important thing in my life. I do my run or runs, any strength training and then I move on to my other hobbies, or I go be social or whatever and I don't think about it until the next day. I don't see the point in making my top priority in life a hobby I'm objectively mediocre at.

That's so funny, because i find having a hobby I enjoy is so much more important than having a hobby that I'm good at. Why would I make my top priority in life a hobby I don't enjoy?

Running was always there for me when shit was tough in life. I'm not saying it's the most important thing, but compared to someone I've met once or twice? Yeah, running is way more important to me.

This is put the best way I’ve ever been ever able to relate to. None of us are going to be the best at this. If we were, we wouldn’t be on Reddit talking about it. It’s a great thing to do, but it doesn’t define who we are or how much better we are than other people. Look at Forrest Gump, he ran and never talked about it.

  • Someday you will find someone that outshines your running— and when you do, then you have met your match.

  • Does he run?

  • This is why running clubs are often just dating clubs in disguise.

  • I mean.... Running has been in your life longer right? I'm not even being cheeky...a beloved hobby vs someone I just got interested in.... Fair to not affect my hobby yet.

  • You’ll be fine. You’ll feel strong when you reach out

I’m here if you need me

  • I identify with this 100% it's just a state of mind you get in when you do anything enough

  • It’s simple, just date someone who runs….

  • If they can keep up with you TRUST it’ll be way easier :)

  • I’m so sorry this is so funny 😭😂

  • lol man this so dumb

  • It’s okay to want both…let it happen

  • Sounds like the perfect mindset to hit your running goals or any goals n life to me✊💪🔒

  • I think you should make your long run shorter distance. I started doing this because the long run was becoming too exhausting on my body so I had to get extra sleep, better meals, etc..

I’ve actually started to come to the belief that doing your daily run that your long run should only be a few miles more than that. Otherwise, it becomes to disruptive of your daily routine just my opinion.

The other issue is when you start doing long runs I started getting injuries. First, I got plantar fasciitis that I got runners knee. If I had kept my run shorter, I don’t believe I would’ve ever got an injury and I think my health would’ve been just as good if not better.

It's more that I like how running gives my life an anchor - I try to, as much as possible, make sure that everything else in my life supports my running. I'm not even particularly fast, but I do love going for really long distances, so I probs won't be cutting down the distances until I take a deload week lol.

What works for one person won't work for another, and vice versa!

  • Dude you’re locked in something serious. 🧐
