I know we are both a Latin/Romance language – maybe you forgot about us, because we are so isolated 😢 – but I can't help notice common words with Romanian 🇷🇴:
- Church: „biserică” – „baselgia”
- Communion (church): „cumineca” – „cuminecar” (even if most popular is „împărtășanie”)
- Good morning: „Bună dimineața” – „bun di”
- Nice evening: „Bună seara” – „buna saira”
- Good night: „Noapte bună” – „buna not”
What a beautiful language you have!
depending on the Romansh dialect, do you see word forms that look closer to Romanian than the standard Grischun language?
I can't tell because I'm not familiar with different dialects. The way I learned about Romansh to begin with is that sometimes when I pressed "R" in language menu, it came up – and made me wonder "that sounds suspicious similar to Romanian". The video I started learning from is:

I have never seen Romansh in a language menu!

Yes its very similar especially the pronounciation of grammar and sounds in my dialect surmiran are practically the same as in romanian. I also speak sursilvan dialect and they are more similar to occitan/french. Vallader and Putér spoken in Engiadina are closer to bavarian/italian
