Players who r toxic in chat get punished when reported via ticket with screenshots. Multiple people are now perma banned after telling me or others to kill themselves
Trolls however simply dont get punished. Our mid laner dying twice pre min 2 then following our jungler stealing his camps till the rest of the game till we ff 15, our Reksai for some reason afking in base building a tunnel network tunneling around for the rest of the game tho we had a free win so we lost that one too. Possibly a wintrade Idk. Our support afking on mid turret from min 1, even a Jungle Yuumi afking on our mid laner since min 1
Literally not a single one of them got punished, even tho I attached a 30 - 60 sec replay to all of the tickets
Id rather not punish toxic ppl in chat but ban all the trolls since at the end of the day you can simply mute the L9 wannabe but you cant mute your Jungle Yuumi afking on your mid laner
Trolls enable toxic behaviour because once someone trolls everyone just starts complaining (for good reason). And trolling not getting punished will be a big reason as to why there are so many of them

Idk if that's because I start the match with a good ole compliment for the team. Or I type something nice even if they die first.
It tends to stop people from being trolls. Cuz like If I'm happy regardless what is trolling your own ranked game gonna do for you?
Gotta take the power out of the troll. Not by telling them you don't care but by being super supportive. Or Mistaking their intentions on purpose. Like imagine they're trying to steal the jungler camps but the jungler is just better at farming them. Then the jungler types "Thanks for the help, King." It's hard to reply to that with more trolling. Psychologically they already lost the troll war at that point.

Im on EUW playing in D1 / Master MMR and basically everything u hear about this Region and Elo is true so Im thinking it might be different elsewhere. I try to be the positive one in the team but it seems if someone wants to troll, they will troll

EUW does have a bad reputation for toxicity for sure.
But even if someone wants to troll. The reason they want to troll is because of the effect they'll have on their own teammates. If you take that reaction away or pretend that their actions are seen favorably they'll probably not want to troll because it won't be fun to them anymore.
The problem is the majority of players get really upset when people troll their games and that makes the troll more powerful. And instead it should become the norm to play it off like it's all good. Jokes on them you're into that shit type of thing.
I find NA isn’t too bad until certain times… it’s usually drastically increased at the times when international players are on the NA server. But I got banned off the LoL reddit for pointing out a specific group (I named the nationality and someone reported it as racist I guess 🤷♂️) of trolls that likes to be on around 3 am pacific time.
Dunno, there is a big difference between genuinely trolling, just tilted and players that are just bad. Riot punishes players you can show are being genuinely disruptive. But they’ll err on the side of caution if it looks like they might be just bad or tilted.
Also I think Riot flags your account if you’re reporting everything… they’ll just start ignoring you if you’re spamming reports for every little thing. Especially if you’re submitting tickets for everything you should be using in game reporting for.
They certainly way the input of accounts that rarely report higher than ones that report every game all the time for no reason.
Which is why my reports actually have action taken on them. Because I don't waste it just because bad player bad.
I’m not sure what your point is. Trolling in League is well known phenomena that heavily contributes to its reputation as the worst community in gaming.
You literally say you haven’t been trolled in years then list trolling activities that you deal with…that’s still trolling. I don’t know how you claim you haven’t been trolled with that blatant a lie.
I have tracked how many times my teamed was trolled this season. The answer is 73 of my 97 loses. Let’s round that up to keep the math easy. That’s 73% of my losses were caused by trolls.
I don't deal with those trolls. I literally haven't had one in a very very long time. I said what you should do if you experience a troll.
And you honestly think that in those 72 games there was nothing at all you could have improved at? That might have changed the game at all in any shape or form? I think you're wrong. And I also think if you took my approach to how to deal with that and how to prevent people from trolling in the first place by being kind to begin with at the start of the game you'd experience it less anyway.
Every game even with pros could have done something better win or lose. You analogy is moot.
Then the troll shouldn't have an impact on your ability to improve and thus your ability to climb the ladder. The pros also have to play with and against the same types of players that you do.
Yet they manage to win those games.
So the two ways of dealing with a troll are being soo gifted that you're just so much better that their trolling doesn't matter. Or you prevent them wanting to be a troll by getting them on your side to begin with.
I did and do climb. It was an experiment to see how much trolling there was costing me games. I still have over a 50% win rate.
The fact remains near 75% of my games were lost to trolling. I have legit had a game where top and supp were a duo who locked in smite last second. They followed me smiting camps.
Not as of 25.09 ......When Smite was locked to Jungle role only.......

It doesn't. just that it hasn't happened in a long time. For most of the year they couldn't do that to you.
So it's odd that you bring it up as an example of a troll. That you know can't even happen anymore. It's just weird.
I also think people think people are trolling more often than they actually are trolling. Not that there aren't trolls but like it's a lot less than previous seasons.

You don’t seem so quick with logic eluding you so badly.
As you point out Riot bad to build in controls to prevent players from trolling by taking smite. It was such a problem they had to prevent people from doing it.
Trolls will do whatever they can until Rito blocks the practice.
Reports are a placebo as are tickets. If they can’t detect the behavior, the report does nothing.

Reports carry little if any weight. They might trigger an automated review at best. It doesn’t matter how many reports you receive, if the game can’t detect it, nothing happens.
That's simply not true. I've sent in detailed reports that aren't detectable by the algorithm. And they've been punished. I don't just click the button I provide a reasonable description along with it of what they did.
And because I don't waste thousands of reports a year by auto reporting the jungler for not ganking like half the streamers I know my reports actually go thru.
It's why I only ARAM, everyone doesn't care and is there to have fun. YOLO we dive the turret at level 6 fun.
Toxic inters or bad players? Big difference.
Report block and move on. Eventually, they will get a ban well deserved.
