i dont need a single app or a single browser extension for this i can install multiple i just want something like a sponsor blocker, stuff that interrupt the video
DeArrow replaces clickbait thumbnails with a screenshot from the video, and replaces clickbait titles with unsensationalized user contributed titles IIRC
This post is more or less about:
1. Not to use a Chromium browser
2. It's useless for the torr browsing.
3. Crypto mess they do
4. Some affiliate "links" (AFAIK this issue in particular doesn't exist anymore).
Brave is still a good browser for general use. Apart from crypto f-ups & chromium bias.
Agree. But then some sites break on firefox. These are some of the trade offs when one chooses privacy, they loose convenience. Which is why I said brave is good for "general" use. I use both the browsers brave & fennec btw.
You can install in any modern popular browser (Chrome, Brave, Firefox, Edge, etc.) Ublock Origin/Ublock Origin Lite + Sponsorblock and you are good to go. There's nothing more needed - it's that easy.
For YouTube you can download freetube or use ublock origin on a Firefox based browser "I personally prefer Zen browser" for Twitter/X you can use the no ads for Twitter extension and reddit add remover extension for reddit, you can use stremio for movies and shows and seanime for anime, and that's pretty much it
+1 for FreeTube. It's like Newpipe for desktop, with its own UI instead of being a modified version of YouTube itself. You can also use Invidious as a back end, subscribe to channels without an account, modify the default playback speed, etc
I think UnHook might be a bit redundant with Improve YouTube. Stylus is for themes if you care. The other extensions are pretty much mandatory to the ReVanced experience. Really recommend Firefox especially for uBlock.
Grayjay works on Windows now, that should be your one-stop shop if it supports sponsor block like I recall it does. Otherwise, FreeTube might be an option. Lastly, extensions/add-ons will likely work in-browser.
not sure why you were downvoted, i didnt care for grayjay personally, but i love freetube despite the fact that it google intentionally breaks it every so often. both have sponsorblock and adblocking features as far as im aware, and freetube is generally more private then both revance or greyjay. weird..
your right, i wasnt even thinking of dark mode for tube tbh. It's just a great private addon, and i assumed that if you dont know of ublock/sponsorblock for fox, prob wouldnt be aware of dark reader and the rest on that list. IMO dark reader is essential just for general browsing and figured im already posting links, why not add dark reader to. also really like the fact that its all done client side.
Its probably a lot more work than what's it worth but I'd assume you could install bluestacks on your PC. I'm not sure if the software supports side loading though.
Right but to be fair, op did ask specifically how to get revanced on pc. He did specifically answer the question how to get revanced on. Not a good way but he understood the assignment lmao.
the title reads "how would one get something like revanced on a computer". he offered a way to do exactly what the title asked, install revanced on computer. i didnt say it was a good way, just that he understood the assignment. perhaps its not my brain that lacks the power to read brother.
Use Firefox with ublock origin + Sponsor block extensions.
Add this to prevent idiotic AI translations and you are good to go:
https://github.com/YouG-o/YouTube_No_Translation
Oh and Consent-O-Matic.
And you can use Firefox in android with all those too.
don't forget youtube search fixer
man revanced is really an all in one experience isn't it
Is this for Ai dub
Dubs and title translations.

Sponsorblock!
Either use Firefox with ublock or Brave
Either way install the extensions of sponsorblock, and return YouTube dislikes and dArrow
What's dArrow?
DeArrow replaces clickbait thumbnails with a screenshot from the video, and replaces clickbait titles with unsensationalized user contributed titles IIRC
Oh. I use the Tubemod extension for this reason; it blurs thumbnails to avoid clickbait.
unlock origin, sponsorblock and return youtube dislike extensions
from a privacy stand point avoid brave, instead use firefox, ublock and sponsor block is the way forward, return yt dislikes is the cherry on top
What's wrong with Brave?

Agree to disagree. There is a reason why when true privacy is wanted, its built on fox and not chromium.

This
Brave, and done ... 😉👌🫵
Sponsorblock addon?

for youtube, you can just use brave without any extensions.
it blocks all ads on youtube by default.
Brave browser
ReVanced is essentially based on PC modifications and extensions. Though not specifically for PC, the majority of people use extensions on PC.
SponsorBlock
Return YouTube Dislikes
DrArrow
uBlock Origin
uBlock Origin Filter Lists - Not needed, but suggested.
Improve YouTube
UnHook
Stylus
I think UnHook might be a bit redundant with Improve YouTube. Stylus is for themes if you care. The other extensions are pretty much mandatory to the ReVanced experience. Really recommend Firefox especially for uBlock.
Very BRAVE of you, Actually You should be BRAVE, Because by being BRAVE you will achieve your goal, so BRAVE be BRAVE.
Do you got it? BRAVE?
By using Brave and SponsorBlock extension
I use Edge with Ublock Origin and Sponsorblock.
Brave
For Android TV boxes try Smart Android TV, it's excellent
Brave.
Use adguard
Grayjay works on Windows now, that should be your one-stop shop if it supports sponsor block like I recall it does. Otherwise, FreeTube might be an option. Lastly, extensions/add-ons will likely work in-browser.

bro thinks it's revanced that made sponsorblock
i never said that i just dont know where to get a sponsorblock perhaps
https://www.firefox.com/en-CA/download/all/desktop-release/win64/
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-CA/firefox/addon/sponsorblock/
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-CA/firefox/addon/ublock-origin/

https://addons.mozilla.org/en-CA/firefox/addon/darkreader/

Im assuming your on a windows machine with this lol
You don't need the Dark Reader extension to get dark mode on the YouTube website.
For themes, you might. Though there are much better options for that. I think Stylus is what it's called?

Run an android emulator with revanced installed
Just install SponsorBlock in Brave.
who knows, maybe soon with android pc from Google.
Just use r/brave_browser
Its probably a lot more work than what's it worth but I'd assume you could install bluestacks on your PC. I'm not sure if the software supports side loading though.
No need to do that
I wonder why I got punished for trying to help lol
Reddit is crazy like that sometimes though.
there are simpler methods thats why you got downvoted
Right but to be fair, op did ask specifically how to get revanced on pc. He did specifically answer the question how to get revanced on. Not a good way but he understood the assignment lmao.
Your brain lacks the power to read as well.

Microsoft Edge with uBlock Origin + Privacy Badger also works very well
I think Edge is overall a better browser than Firefox but ymmv
Idk why I'm getting down voted. For a fact Edge is a much faster browser.. Firefox may be more secure
https://www.pcworld.com/article/2390201/browser-speed-2024-this-is-how-fast-chrome-firefox-edge-co.html sorry but that is just incorrect. please use anything else for the love of god.

WHAT?! 💀
Your PC World article, Edge beat Mozilla in 2 of the 3 tests..
Your ZDNet article they were both middle of the pack in those tests..
And I really don't care what Forbes has to say about technology
Bro it's alright. It's better for general use with all the privacy settings toggled.
Privacy Badger is just an extra. You're better off with just the uBlock Origin with some filters & some settings turned on.
If you like chrome, use helium browser.
