r/religiousfruitcake is about the absurd, fringe elements of organised religion. Posts about mundane beliefs and acts of worship (praying to God, believing in God, believing in afterlife, etc), are off topic.
We arent here to bash either specific religions or religion itself, because there are plenty of rational actors who happen to be religious. So if your post is "Christians are sTOoPid", or "Religion = dUmB", you're in the wrong sub and your post will probably be removed.
Dont use the title or body of your post to soapbox personal rhetoric about religion or any other subject.
Don't post videos or discussions of Fruitcakes who have been baited or antagonised. Social media excerpts must not involve any deliberate provocation / antagonism of Fruitcakes.
Dont post videos of physically violent personal attacks or any pics or videos containing gore
Satire, parodies, memes, videos, etc must be made by Fruitcakes, not by third parties about them. (exception for journalistic sources)

First things first BJP came in power by playing poverty card, not religious card as people think, they after coming to power switched their political agenda.
Indian voters are roughly in 3 factions:
Hindu extremists, which were always present but post 2014, they saw a massive increase in both their numbers and audacity.
BJP Haters, it's obvious why
Centrists, they hate BJP but still vote cause in their mind, India has no alternative.
Jawaharlal Nehru was the first Prime Minister of India.
His daughter Indira Gandhi became 3rd pm of India
Her son Rajeev Gandhi also was PM of India
Now his son Rahul Gandhi is the leader of opposition against Modi.
The problem is, he has not participated in any position before he directly jumped for PM position, this pseudo monarchy is pissing Indians off, that's why India was a very weak opposition currently.
Hindu extremism is mostly a regional thing that happens almost entirely in India. And Hindus rarely ever export extremism to other countries. There aren't any Hindu terrorist organizations planning terror attacks around the world.
Islamic extremism, on the other hand, is a global phenomenon that happens on every single continent. That's the main difference.
Plot twist, they're protesting against the consumerficstion of the holiday designated to celebrate the birth of the saviour who told them to stop chasing after money.
India has Christians. I had a friend from India who had his family run out of the country just for being Christians. He said their lives were literally in danger.

I thought Hindus were meant to be accepting and peaceful lol
Before 2014, once Modi came.....
So they're in power and now corrupted?
Modi’s party is categorized by some scholars as an ultra nationalist (or even fascist) Hindu party. They’re extremist.
That's a bit of a stretch
Kinda yes.

So you and that person in the gif have something in common.
It seems these nuts are going to replace islam for terrorism stereotypes soon
I really don't think so.

but never forget that the hindu sangh has branches in a couple of dozen countries, including, believe it or not, japan!
Maybe, but there is still plenty of Islamic extremism to go around.
This is why they can’t have nice things
India is life on hard mode
Send the X-Men.
And people thought they’d stop at Muslims lol
Such a large amount of intelligence right here.
They love a big stick don’t they?
But I was told Western countries are the only ones that are racist and disrespectful to other cultures and religions.
Lol :)
Did you take a look at Afrika where they sing and chant some questionable stuff in tv?
That's ok, the place is a dump. Let them be angry.
Plot twist, they're protesting against the consumerficstion of the holiday designated to celebrate the birth of the saviour who told them to stop chasing after money.
I see no problem here.
lmao
This is NOT the actions of my people. WTF
Shame. I was hoping for an alliance in my 'let's defeat Jesus in 2026' initiative.
Nah, that we leave up to trumpypoo
Definitely fruitcakes, but what's a Christmas display even doing in India? Shameless consumerism is my only guess.
India has Christians. I had a friend from India who had his family run out of the country just for being Christians. He said their lives were literally in danger.
30m Christians in India have a right celebrate Christmas in peace
