Tbh this is a really solid add in my opinion. Sox have oodles of SP depth, but truly not a ton of relievers in the upper minors. Has had 2 really solid ML seasons the past 4 years, and would have 4 more years of control if he actually did well this year.
Oh I love baseball. And the Red Sox. I’ll always root for the team on the field.
I just believe that true fans—TRUE FANS—have an obligation to call out ownership when they’re not fully committed to winning. Especially when that team has the 3rd largest revenue stream in MLB, but ranks only 23rd in percentage of revenue spent on payroll.
You and some of the other fanboys here are from the Pollyanna, “clap louder!”, “Gee whiz, that billionaire owner is a swell guy!” school.Â
To me, you’re the one who doesn’t like baseball. Or winning baseball, I guess.Â
Pfff, genuinely kick biscuits, King Fan, every offseason they talk about being aggressive on the market and then there’s this. Gray trade is good, Contreras trade might be fine, but the FO’s refusal to spend on top FAs continues to infuriate. Do you think you’re somehow a more virtuous or “better” fan because you don’t question the team’s decisions?
Idk why but I am picturing Pedro Martinez in a hoody trying to convince the Astros his name is Seth.

Thanks for contributing to the conversation with this very informative and well thought out comment.
Very welcome! 👍
First ever comment, I see.

Is this in fact a free agent signing????? Is the shutout OVAH?
Nah, it's only a minor league free agent, and we've signed a couple of those already.
All right! Yea
Faux throddle
It doesn’t count. Good try Bres
This isn’t our first minor league signing
WE’RE ON THE BOARD
Doesn’t count, not a big league contract
we did it we spent the devers money
Full-throttle free agent signing
Man people love to complain. Basically karma farming at this point with how negative this sub is sometimes.
Only team without a major-league FA signing and the only one we might sign is Bregman.
Yeah, the Yankees blew us out of the fucking water with that... Paul Blackburn signing.
Alonso? No, I cried about Blackburn
Which is completely fine
But by trade we made the two biggest acquisitions of the off season. The free agent vs trade distinction is stupid
Yeah, fuck the Worcester Red Sox pitching staff.
Genuinely if you comment this you’re not only dumb but just not a baseball fanÂ

It’s just a minor league FA signing my guyÂ
Now we go!
Wow, time to order the rings and reserve the duckboats
the race to make this joke every minor transaction is tremendous
StfuÂ
