I genuinely plan on making something similar , but I want to make a fireman with 2 tanks on his back pouring through a hose with a mixing valve. the corrosion on the metal fittings/pipes is my biggest point of concern , I'm trying to think of a way to make one completely out of plastic , PP-R for example , with all plastic valves and maybe the lil' guy himself out of copper.
Just use some stainless fittings and rinse it afterwards. All sorts of laboratory and commercial outfits use stainless for more corrosive materials than Coke.
Completely agree on the stainless , but it gets expensive REAL fast. Stainless steel tubing and fittings are both not easily available and hella expensive where I live (although I'd assume everywhere) , since I only really need a handful of stuff. And kinda defeats the purpose of the thing , I want to make the dude out of plumbing supplies and don't want to spend that much money on it. Maybe if I have some leftovers from future jobs. I have a few stainless steel fittings saved up from past ones , but 2" stainless steel valves and unions are a tad oversized for this joke project.
Why not just all pvc?? All of those fittings/valves can be found in pvc, and then it would actually be somewhat safe to drink from (you still gotta worry about cleaning the thing as the there isn't a constant source of water in it, and I'm not 100% sure there wouldn't be some sort of reaction between the liquids and pvc, but it's gotta be safer than it going through fucking galvanized). Not to even mention just using vinyl...
Dude, fuck Facebook for prepopulating "is this still available". If the listing is up, it's available! Stop asking me that and then never messaging again!
While I feel your pain from having sold on marketplace before, and really I agree that's the way I should be, the number of times I've messaged someone to say I'll buy something and they tell me it sold 2 days ago is insane. Not everyone is as diligent at deleting sold stuff as you.
I bet the coke dissolves the zinc from those galvanized steel fittings and the lead from the brass.
Here for a good time, not a long time.
Much better than going through all the pain and trouble of pouring Jack and Coke into a cup like a caveman.
Just drink em from the bottles like god intended
Hallelujah! 🙌

Swedgelok is your (very expensive) friend. Read how to tighten. Do NOT over tighten. Instructions are simple and do not require special tools.

100% what is going to happen.
Brass doesn’t contain lead
Brass plumbing fittings used to contain lead for easier soldering, and they can still be purchased for non potable water use.
What pipes would be good to use for this? Simple PVC pipe? A little melted plastic never hurt anyone.
Stainless steel.
Wouldn't want to taint your poison with other poison.
There will be lead once the zinc wears off from gas pipe too. Lol. It’s like a lead balloon idea man.
The whiskey has oak hints with a galvanized steel finish.
I’m gonna weld a handle on it after I buy dis

When the drunks are fumbling all over and leaning on it the metal fixtures will be far more durable than plastic.
I was looking at this thinking, make it out of glass, but I did not consider the end user, and how that would definitely just break
Rule of cool probably
Not steampunk enough or whatever
Jack and coke and a few more ingredients
I feel that unless you have some kind of air intake, it will foam the hell out of your J&C
Poke a hole in the coke and bust the top of the Jack
I thought this was from SpongeBob
Weight-bearing fernco and it's not vented? This guy would get destroyed in r/Plumbing
Multiple venting issues, no backflow preventer.

That’s your take on this toxic monstrosity?
That's my story and I'm sticking to it.
