Hey OP I can't draw like at all but you might want to google Queer Prom; a lot of pride groups hold them and it's supposed to be an opportunity to get dressed up, wear a tux/corsage, etc for people who didn't get an enjoyable/safe & out prom in high school
Not in my area unfortunately. I'm involved in my local queer community though, so I'll maybe see about bringing it up to a few people and get something organized for the LGBT folks in my city :)
i had a lotta fun messing around and experimenting with this :D i hope it feels kind of like you because i was trying to create a dress you would look beautiful in!!
Something elegant, with thin straps. Not overly extravagant or gaudy. A slit to show a little leg. It would be a nice shade of blue, with some silver earrings and a thin necklace.
Nothing special. A Beatles shirt and blue jeans. Braces of course, and a multicolor beaded bracelet.
Of course. Belle was my favorite princess. And a cat lover phase that I never grew out of.
I’m cis and my prom experience was spent feeling insecure and awful about my outfit, hair (botched). i took no photos 😢 all the movies made me think it was gonna be a night to remember…. oh well. a much more memorable experience was my first solo concert feeling free in my body and limitless :D i recommend!!!
right? I had to go with my ex because I didn't want to have the conversation with my mom and big brother that he'd cheated on me because I didn't want to have sex yet. I broke up with him, but did still love him and didn't want my brother beating him up.
My friends & I (F, 50s) were talking about how we never have a reason to wear fancy dresses anymore, & now we're planning a Wear a Beautiful Dress girls day out. We'll get ourselves fancy dresses, meet for coffee, & spend all day hanging out & window shopping & going to a fancy dinner in our finery.
We figure, why not? If you can find a couple of willing friends, you could have a lovely day out. 💕🌈🌹 I know it's not as great as a real prom, of course, but I bet you'd look great in your dress!
That's kind of you to say. As far as I know, there hasn't been one in my local area. I think I'll bring it up to a few organizers in my community to see if I could help arrange one next year.
While I’m not trans and clearly won’t go through what you have, I am homeschooled and can relate to the prom thing. We’ll have amazing experiences in the future. 🤍
I was also homeschooled! Thankfully I ended up going to a public school starting my sophomore year. It's crazy how much it can hinder you socially - those first six months in a public school were brutal lol
