Has he ever changed something during a game where we praised him for his in-game management?
I'm sick of hearing "don't blame the system" and "we don't have the players to play this system".
This is the problem. I wouldnt trust him to open a bag of crisps yet, with all the injuries, hes our senior player. He has good moments now and then but availability is not the best ability when you are an inconsistent 26 year old who is supposed to be in his prime.
The fact is
We can't anymore. We could have. But the mistakes of the last 15 years are now haunting us. Guardiola is able to churn through savinho and cancelo while we have to watch Diogo Dalot pretend to be a senior footballer.
Amorim thinks he's prime Mourinho but he's actually just desperately out of his depth. Absolutely terrible manager for us. We need to move on and quickly.
This fucking sub after a loss is like a bunch of blood sucking bats, tucked away in the shadow of their assholes, waiting for a loss to come out in droves, waving their pitchforks asking for blood.
Then all of these bitching bats then go back to their assholes caves, waiting for the next loss to wreak havoc again.
Nothing is wrong with it. This is the medium for venting. Just calling it like it is.
We just came of a hard fought win at Newcastle, where Dorgu played well on the right. In a 4-2-3-1
But no Amorim now goes back to his shitty 3 back system. Plays 5 defenders and 2 defensive midfielders and complains about lack of creativity.
Puts Dorgu on the left where he isn't useful. Plays a midfield two of Ugarte and Casemiro basically devoid of creativity.
Puts on Mantato instead of Lacey who looked much better in his cameo. Fletcher isn't a Right sided midfielder but no let's put a kid there.
His usual Centerback sub which is stupid.
Like what's the point of this stupid manager? Any I mean any of the last 5 managers we've had would've done better with this squad.
Let alone the shit he's done to get rid of other players who are doing well elsewhere, Rashford, Hojlund, Lindelof etc. Even Bald Hag would do better than Amorim. My goodness we'd be in a title fight with Solksjaer this season.
Edit 1 - Don't say injuries. This is a wolves side that had 2 points. Worse than a Sheffield side that got relegated. We parked the bus against wolves.
I've been an Amorim fan since we got Ten Hag in. I've defended him when I thought the criticism was unfair or overly harsh, which it has often been.
But last night was entirely on him. When I saw the line up, I sent a message to my best mate saying "yes! We're playing 44 fucking 2!" (Or, at least, 4411 or 4231 like we have played recently)
Case and Ugarte could have sat and stopped counters while Shaw and Dalot bombed on to give us width with Cunha and Dorgu working inside with the technical ability of Zirks. We would have been all over them and would have scored at least 3.
Then the match started and I saw the monstrosity of a line up he had actually picked and I knew we were done. I predicted we wouldn't score at all and, but for a deflection, I would have been right.
I cannot get my head around that selection other than to put it down to stubbornness and pride and arrogance. I don't like calling for managers to go, but he made it hard for me last night (that's what she said).
Bullshit. There's no way you've been backing Amorim this whole time and change your mind after that game. Not a chance.
And of course you hide all your posts.
I'm sorry, you're quite right. I don't know what my own opinions are and do need a complete stranger to tell me what to think. Thank you for guiding me, friend. And happy new year.
Ps. I hide my posts because of political reasons, not sports ones.
Thou doth protest too much?
There is nothing reasonable about you being Amorim in until.the wolves game. If you made it this far, then that cannot possibly change your opinion in that one game with everything considered.
So yes, I call bullshit, back on topic. Or not.
Me saying I don't believe you doesn't make me a bad person, but thanks.
Not really fair to criticize him for playing Casemiro and Ugarte (his only two options at CM) and then criticize him for bringing on Fletcher as a third CM and saying he was poor.
That was the right midfield, because it's the only one we have. But playing three CBs behind them was ridiculous.
Play a back four, use Dalot and Shaw as your fullbacks, freeing Dorgu to be a right sided attacker. He was notably less effective as a left wingback last night, and Dalot is simply not an attacking force.
Case was clearly done somewhere after 60th minute anyway. Licha had a good shift at DM just two games ago. We couldn't deliver the ball in the box the whole game. Yet throughline passes are Licha's strongest quality. I do not see what Jack Fletcher has to offer right now in the last three games
Yoro's nominal position don't make a big difference. We defend in back 5 and he usually gets on underlap in attack so Dorgu can stay wide
I think you can set this team like this and bomb crosses through Dalot and Shaw on Sesko, Zirkz and Dorgu. Or swap Sesko for Lacey if you want Zirkz to drop out and create space for Cuhna and Shea.
You have some points, but we cannot revision our self into thinking keeping Lindelof was a good idea...
Rashford was gone, he doesn't want to be here, and has been extremely inconsistent the last years.. He didnt even run! La liga fits him
Højlund I feel for.. Think another system would fit him. Prob could have made it in the prem..
Of course we need to play two defensive midfielders, its our only option with Mount also gone. And before you start mentioning the kids, they are not starters no matter the talent you claim they are. Fletcher lacks tempo, and just isn't ready (which is totally fine)
He should def change his tactics when he is this short on players.. I agree, but this take comes off a a bit too revisionist for me.
Even when everyone is fit he makes wrong decisions, never makes a sub that make sense never adapts to the game in front of him. He hasn’t earned such a ridged “Philosophy”. He has no balls, we look fearful every game even when all is fit.
I love how we always back our managers to the end, we are a special club but we can’t be backing someone blindly and accepting mediocrity, “courage, youth, success” one out of three of those is not good enough.
Look I agree with the decision of letting Lindelof go. But he was always solid for us. Yes he has flaws but look at Villa, emery is playing him to his strength. Factually would've been super useful in a back 3 but besides the point.
Rashford wanted to go so I get that one. I don't even have an issue with 2 defensive MIDS, that's okay. But if the midfield is only those 2 then I have a problem.
Sesko can play of the left, we've seen it at Leipzig, Zirkzee, Sesko, Cunha and Dorgu as the front four. It's a simple way of getting the players to run less. Cover the ground more efficiently.
Dorgu isnt two footed, it's easier for him to go to the byline and cross with his right then it is for him to cut inside and find a pass or shoot with his right. Hence he played well on the right, not left.
Zirkzee ain't a proper 9 but he has good holdup play, Sesko of the left could've helped in that sense allowing Sesko to run at a player and cut inside and shoot. Kinda like a ramdeuter.
Cunha behind Zirkzee allows Cunha to run past Zirkzee and let Zirkzee drop allowing for fluidity. This would've been defensively sound thanks to our 2 DMs
But Amorim is pig headed and wanted to prove to the media his stupid 3 back system works.
Ten Haag won two trophies and finished 3rd. Can you name anything at all this manager has looked positive about so far? Also holjund wasn't great but his replacement is hardly lighting it up
There's no metric by which you can argue Amorim is better than ten hag. He's had back to back wins once in the league in a year and we play garbage football
People talk endlessly about formations but that bench we had yesterday was organisational malpractice by the club, let alone with players that we know aren’t good enough (Zirkzee, Ugarte) Talk about wolves points all you like, but they’ve played Arsenal and Liverpool well the last few weeks.
Yeah and to be honest in those games Wolves gave those teams a proper fight just they can't seem to finish. They bloody nearly gifted us a goal yesterday and still couldn't capitalise. They were first to everything and our players gave them so much space. No one closing them down
Do you feel like Zirkzee's energy pre-game and after he scored was off? Pre-game there was a shot of Casemiro desperately trying to fire him up. Made me wonder if he is definitely off in Jan. The substitution fed into this too as maybe it was trying to prevent him from getting injured etc.
Well yes, but they actually have a better b squad.
We are incredibly thin in most areas, especially striker and CM(all variations)
Even a relegation destined Wolves didnt have to field that many kids/or elderly. Mane was the only, and he looked solid! Better than any of our offensive kids..
All in all, embarrassing performance across the board.
This wolves team, albeit better than their position, should be beat at Old Trafford..
What we fielded today is not even close to top half.. Sorry to say.
Sesko needs to prove PL quality, but we have NO backup for him.
Zirkzee is not working out, struggles with the tempo. Going to serie A(makes sense)
Dalot is a backup, but not better than their wingbacks/lb/rb
Amad is great
Dorgu the jury is still out on..
Our CM consists of :
Ugarte, who seems to be a dud.. PL seems too quick for him. Passing mistakes every single game..
Case, a former world class CM/CDM who now cannot run.
Bruno is good at CM, but ye, rather have him in his position.
Mainoo is a talent, but perhaps not a CM either
Rest are kids
10s I would say we're good. Cunha Mbeumo and Mount are great, but thats it. Two of those are gone for some time
Arsenal needed 2 own goals to beat them, Liverpool barely got away with it and they arent missing 7 starters.
7 starters that would walk into wolves starting 11.
Doomers as always just talk stats. Nuance is too much.

Lmao there’s the special one… and then there’s the stubborn one
Lmao what a quote
Jose would make a good writer.
Sums it up perfectly
While true, didn't he also died by his ideas
Missed the game but I am starting to think that was a blessing lol
We're actually so lucky Arsenal v Villa was on at the same time or this match would be the main talking point for the whole week
We're man utd. We are the talking point, all week, every week.
A manager needs to prioritise wins over his pet formations and tactics, especially if it doesn't work.
Stubborim I name thee.
I'll be writing Stubborim strikes back everytime I see him do something daft to prove a point.
Has he ever changed something during a game where we praised him for his in-game management? I'm sick of hearing "don't blame the system" and "we don't have the players to play this system".
And a club needs to hire managers that suit the club, culture, style and history.
Failorim would be my suggestion.
Dalot standing there with his arms up is still pissing me off. Part of the leadership group btw.
This is the problem. I wouldnt trust him to open a bag of crisps yet, with all the injuries, hes our senior player. He has good moments now and then but availability is not the best ability when you are an inconsistent 26 year old who is supposed to be in his prime.
I know you're being serious but that is genuinely hilarious
Good moments? I don’t remember a single one because of all the bad moments that he produces. He’d struggle to get into that Wolves team.
He should've been sold 2-3 years ago. If it was up to me he'd be the first out the door in the summer. Can't do another season of him
100%. Emblematic of the problem at the club. Too many chances to these guys.
We can’t sell everyone and just buy new. The financial restrictions and the club debt prevent us from buying our way out of trouble.
The fact is We can't anymore. We could have. But the mistakes of the last 15 years are now haunting us. Guardiola is able to churn through savinho and cancelo while we have to watch Diogo Dalot pretend to be a senior footballer.
Absolutely. Also city don’t care about the financial restrictions, having devised plenty of ways to get round them without consequence.
Yes let's sell our player of the season 2 years ago. Muppet.

Nothing is wrong with it. This is the medium for venting. Just calling it like it is.
😀
Win = best team in the league Lose or draw = whole club needs to be flipped upside down.
12, 13 PL wins in all of 2025. I prefer not to speak.
We just came of a hard fought win at Newcastle, where Dorgu played well on the right. In a 4-2-3-1

Course you do
Yep, once again you're right. I have no thoughts of my own and need a complete stranger off the Internet to tell me what to think.
You're such a nice person. I bet everyone who knows you is greatful for the joy you bring to their lives.
Thou doth protest too much?

Drop Case for Yoro, move Licha up. Leave Zirkz on, move him up, put Dorgu on RW, play 4-2-4. If you care about flanks, move Yoro on RB and Dalot on LB
It's not optimal but you'd put pressure on Wolves
We’ve got two fit CMs and the answer is to drop the better of the two and put a CB at CM then put a CB at RB?
I’m not trying to be rude but is there a gas leak in this sub?

Lindelof retcon jfc this sub is cooked
Let’s play some trivia since this is so obvious. Using transfermarkt data as our reference point
How many starts did Sesko have at LW at Leipzig?
How many starts has Sesko had at LW in his career at each club?
Saying ten haag was better and holjund shouldn't have been sold now. Fuck me. This sub is a joke.
Ten Haag won two trophies and finished 3rd. Can you name anything at all this manager has looked positive about so far? Also holjund wasn't great but his replacement is hardly lighting it up
I'm not defending amorim. Just pointed out how insane that end of your comment is. You were making sense up to that part.

I've never disliked a manager this much. He's just lamentable.
I can't believe so many people defend him I mean he's literally showed nothing positive aside from an improvement on an all time low last year
An all time low he led us to, let's not forget 😭
Amorim fkin out.
Unusually poor analysis from BBC
Plagued by injuries + afcon player losses, Amorim is also showing flexibility in formation. It paid off last week, it didn't this week.
Zirkzee scored a nice goal, yes it was a deflection but he worked it well, give him some credit.
Wolves were missing as many players as us, what a pathetic excuse
Well yes, but they actually have a better b squad.

CB we're good, just unlucky with injuries
This season we have a great XG, but many other metrics puts us bottom half. Like this one: https://www.reddit.com/r/reddevils/s/swOiKwnslo
This might be the biggest load of horseshit I've read in some time.
I’m actually convinced you people are ragebaiters. There’s no was this is a take from sound reason
Brother, it was wolves….
This club played 18 matches and got two points out of it
If you have any results against this wolves team, that’s not a win you should be embarrassed
And honestly, depending on how you win, maybe you should be embarrassed by not dominating them
Maybe you could use the excuse of missing players if you lost or drew to Arsenal or Man city but this was wolves
Arsenal needed 2 own goals to beat them, Liverpool barely got away with it and they arent missing 7 starters.
7 starters that would walk into wolves starting 11.
Doomers as always just talk stats. Nuance is too much.
Lmao, you lot deserve Amorim and everything he brings
