I really don't understand what Amorim is thinking. We went to 4231 because we don't have the players for back 3, it kind of works. Now, we go back to a back 3 because we lost Mount?
I checked zirkees heatmap and it was basically all on the right touchline. A bizarre place to play him when his only strengths are like what we saw when he scored. Only to hook him at HT for another player who didn't look comfortable there
He said it was tactical in post match presser. Hope zirk goes on to kill it somewhere else. He's not been great for us but its clear from his half hearted celebration his mental is done and I don't blame him after this kind of shit
C'mon, h s never quite been at it in a United shirt. He needs a slower pace. Undoubtedly gifted but not in the areas the Prem requires.
He'll kill it in a slower paced league.
Zirkzee deserves to be hooked at half time. Fletcher came on so we could go to a 4 at the back and push dorgu up with cunha/sesko.
Whether Fletcher was the right decision or not is debatable, I'd have preferred to see Lacy and let Cunha be more with the midfield. But it's certainly not a baffling decision to sub Fletcher on for Zirkzee after what we saw in the first half.
We didn't play 4 at the back until about 65 mins in though. And even then we were reverting to 3 at the back after that again. Fletch came on and amorim changed basically nothing tactically. Dorgu had a bit more freedom but dorgu has never looked good on the left for us
Hindsight is 20/20. I agree that Zirkzee deserved to be taken off, people are blinded by the goal he scored but he was not playing well at all. It just sucks we have no good options on our bench and its always a gamble with academy players.
He's got the personality of a ref. When you given them abuse over a genuine mistake they start making objectively worse decisions because their ego stops them from accepting that they got something wrong vs giving them grief for stuff that wasn't a mistake and they don't care, as they know it was not their fault.
His whole shit system sets everyone up to fail. Defenders have nowhere to pass to, get run at for free, have to stand absolutely miles away from eachother in possession.
Midfielders have to cover everywhere vertical and sideways and are always outnumbered, but have a man on their arse immediately in possession and have to pass backwards.
Wingers or 10's or whatever get pushed out to the touchline and have to dribble past 4 men or pass it back to the wingback stood 5 yards behind them or just run in to the corner and get stuck.
The striker is completely isolated, has to hold up the ball from both CB's and run in the channels and run in behind and never get the ball because the opposite midfielder has covered their passing lane.
Absolutely nobody's strengths being played to and no idea what they're doing
Exactly lmfao people can say it sounds ridiculous but from the way he portrays himself in the media never admitting his mistakes and always using “suffer” as an excuse it’s pretty evident what he’s trying to do
At this point him just constantly saying suffer feels like gaslighting, trying to get us to believe that somehow the dross we watch most weeks is acceptable
Because he wanted to prove he's smarter than the pundits and journalists who have been poking fun at him for changing to a back four.
This sub is so cooked lmao, we're upvoting evidence-less theories that a top flight manager is making team selections the way a dramatic 10 year old would.
Tbf he literally said in the presser the main reason he hasn't played a back 4 yet is because the pundits called for it and he didn't want to look like he gave in to them.
I don't fully agree with the original reply but Amorim is letting the pundits influence his decisions.
Regardless of the reason it was incredibly stupid of him to revert back to his old system when we did so much better with what we have playing a back 4 against Newcastle.
I don't understand why he would ruin a good thing he had going for him. Dorgu played the best game of his career at right wing, and Amorim immediately reverts him back to a left wing back for no reason.
You tell me then. Did he see the game against Newcastle and say "I'm actually going back to the system that has seen us lose more games in 2025 than we've won"? Because that to me is worse than doing so out of egotistical reasons.
if you have a better theory as for why we play 2 dms and 3 cbs against wolves, after having a good game in a 4231 against newcastle, feel free to share. the fact he didnt change it up in the second half makes it difficult to think its not something personal to him
Plays a 523 with Casemiro and ugarte.... My eyes were bleeding watching ugarte play. You could see Casemiro as well being lost there as there was no cohesion.
I am not disappointed as I watched the first twenty minutes and knew exactly we were in for one of the worst of our displays...
Yeah Dalot, Heaven and Shaw were really effective, even when Newcastle were dictating the game. There was luck involved with Anthony Gordon and Woltemade being appalling.
This is it. What’s the point of all the suffering and this and that if there’s literally no progress a year into management? Just let the players play JFC.
Throughout the game I could not understand why we went back to the back 5 instead of the fluid back 4 setup that was working so well. In fact, that's what destroyed wolves in the second half during the away game.
It reeks of ego, especially after the latest presser where he's going on about how he didn't want to change because he would look weak. So was this his attempt at trying to prove that the back 5 actually works? At the expense of a crucial result?
We were dominant when we played with the back four and Dorgu at RW (admittedly with Mount involved too). He either overcomplicated his tactics or his ego got in the way. Maybe both. But for me this was the worst management Amorim has done at the club, and something that I hope the board emphasises to him how monumental this fuck up was.
He has to start getting results at some point. Against this wolves side, a result is the expectation. I don't know what to say.
The only reason to keep him is I don't know anyone I really want right now but I've kinda lost faith at the minute. I know the squad is horribly constructed. I know the depth isn't there. I know we're leaning on kids.
But you need to be able to get some of the points you need semi-consistently after a year.
I don’t think we “escaped” with a win. At no point did it even feel like they could score. Riding out a game with a thin squad is fine but just boring as fans but it’s super disingenuous to imply that Newcastle were moments away from smashing us.
It does reek of ego. In the presser - also saying he didn’t change because he didn’t want the players to think it was the media influencing him … so you purposely set us up to fail and then changed to suit your ego?
Fuck off - he’s dropped the ball this week big time.
With Amorim it’s always ego. It’s not really about winning games or even staying competitive, it’s about winning his way. Most disappointing for me was seeing Dorgu playing listlessly at left wingback when at least he could’ve inverted him and Dalot a few times during the game just to see if it would change something.
the baffling part wasnt even that, its that he saw that abysmal first half and thought its okay for a manager to just play on as is. and to even double down by subbing of the player that scored
We have essentially started the season on -2 points, with all our rivals on 0. Wolves are a free win for any good side, any decent side, any barely competent side.
It is shameful to not beat the worst Premier League side in history. Wolves scored one goal and increased their points tally by 50%.
There's no dressing this up. It's an unmitigated disaster.
I honestly can't believe we're nearly at the end of this supposed "easy run"and we've got nowhere near enough points out of. We really should have got enough points to be close to those in the title race before inevitably dropping off but nope. The only thing more shocking is that somehow, everyone else is doing so badly we're still in the mix of the European spots.
The good thing is, we do better vs the better teams. I expect us to win vs atleast a few of the top teams. Brighton, Palace, Liverpool, Arsenal, City, no one of them can expect to walk over us with ease.
It's the games vs Wolves, Burnley, Leeds etc I worry about
Ehh. We beat Chelsea because they had a player sent off after 5 minutes, and Liverpool because they were in their worst form in a decade when we met them, which they've apparently bounced back from. The other teams above us - Arsenal, City, Villa - beat us.
What is it with Amorim supporters and expecting half chances to be scored. Our xg was 0.81, it was a pathetic showing. We created nothing because of this dumbfuck manager
Feel like Amorim and the kids are shielding Sesko from a lot of criticism. He has to finish one of those chances, we finally gave him some headers and he hit them right at the keeper. He's young and I think there's a good player in there, but when you come with that price tag, you need to start producing.
Worries me how slowly he seems to operate when he receives a chance. And his finishing really hasn’t improved. First season in a new league but he needs kick on now.
It's not the most ideal situation, and we have players out, but the last thing Ruben needs to do is make it even harder for himself. Dorgu on the right wing worked a treat, why change it tonight? Stick with what works
Amorim's ego is unmatched. He's achieved basically nothing in football yet he wants one of the biggest clubs in the world to conform to his tactics. It might be understandable if we didn't watch the last three games.
Amorim needs to realise if he does not achieve European football he is going to get sacked no matter what happens.
I do not care what system we play as long as we play entertaining football nor i am behind any manger. Our attack has improved miles compared to past 3 years, but he gotta realise this are the games we need to win.
If we don’t have players good enough for back 3 then I don’t get why can’t we go for back 4.It seems to me he is trying to survive game by game instead of building foundation.I refuse to think that because you don’t have one player(mount) u can’t execute the system.
I understand his hands are tied with players but he needs results right now.Wolves,Burnley,Leeds are games which needed to be won to be separated from pack,if he is hell bent on surviving game by game then he needs to get 3 points with whatever solution he comes up with week before game.
To me,what is more shocking is even after a year there are minimal improvements:Still concede goals at a atrocious rate,we have control over a football game and are always going gung ho no matter the opposition.
There are signs of improvement but Amorim clearly needs a lot of improvement and needs to do it fast.
End of the season he’s got to go. In what way have we shown any development. He’s insistent on the back 3 onto changing once, it working and then he abandons it for this shit.
I don’t care about the missing players. Wolves are looking like the worst premier league team of all time and we couldn’t do anything.
He won’t adapt and continue to insist we need explicitly niche players that unlock the system just to have performances like this again and again.
If this isnt a wake up call for everyone involved then its worrying. Hes not the right one hes in way over his head and tonight proved that the system is shit and doesn't work
The fact he kept threatening to walk away should have seen him sacked. Being manager of this club is a privilege yet he acts like he’s doing everyone a favor by sticking around. The arrogance is almost as bad as his tactics.
Has it ever been this annoying since Fergie left ? I know there have been some massive massive lows -but it just seems like the last few years it’s gotten so frustrating watching United against shit teams
Only under Rangnick did I feel anywhere near this amount of apathy towards United. It was so predictable that Amorim would cower back to his favourite, utterly defensive, formation. No other United manager I’ve seen has been so meek.
Not until we’re mathematically out of the Europa league spots or the summer, whichever comes first, unfortunately. The league’s so poor this season, it could well drag on.
10 points dropped against lower opposition. Should be comfortably 3rd, and we're not. Yes sometimes it clicks and sometimes we look better than last year, but it means fuck all if you're not getting results. You spent 70mil a striker who can't dribble without looking down at the ball and can't head to save his life. He had two sitters today and looked terrible with both chances.
Pretty disastrous to drop 10 points from winning positions in the last two months. Pretty disastrous that bruno being out means we can't progress the ball. Disastrous that two of our summer signings still haven't clicked and are losing the ball with almost every touch. It's disastrous that you're at home vs the worst team in the league and you subbed on 2 midfielders and a centreback TAKING OFF A STRIKER.
I want to know if there are patterns to his substitutions.
When we needed a goal, he brought on Fletcher, Yoro, and Mantato, despite having players with higher attacking instincts (Shea Lacey, Obi).
Are his subs for slightly changing the system, or maybe it is simply to increase intensity? (Fletcher, for example, over someone who can change direction and shoot - Zirkzee).
During desperate late stage, we have seen many games where tactics go out of the window, and the games revert to pure talent and instinct. Why not tap into that? Why do we have to control every aspect, even how we drop points?
This game tipped me over to thinking that Amorim needs to go. I know he hasn't had all he needs for his system but he should be showing an ability to understand how the league works by now. It really isn't acceptable to not beat this Wolves side. I thought before kick off we would give them 3 points, so it wasn't as bad as I feared.
The Amorim experiment has run its course. This kind of dreadful decision making and tactical setup is why we rarely string wins together. So done with watching this boring nonsense from an egotistical manager who hasn’t even got the wins in the bank to justify his stubbornness. Reverting to a back 3 because the media started praising his decision to finally change. He claims he’s not being influenced into tactical decisions by the media but he is absolutely doing that, he’s doing the opposite of what they say, it’s the same thing.
It boils down to Mount. He’s the most important player in this system. We looked brilliant last game when he was on the pitch and then suffered when he was hurt.
Why is Shay Lacey not being used? The only youngster who looked kinda assured when played was Lacey and that too at Villa. This manager stopped giving him minutes altogether.
Why is Dorgu being used as a LWB when we are chasing a goal. We have seen how ineffective he is. Amorim could have switched him to the right with Dalot.
This manager's obsession with 3-man defennse will end him, and I will be happy about it.
We lost to league 2 Grimsby with a much better side than tonight, with an actual bench and not 3/4 untested youngsters and 1 guy who was in the bomb squad not 3 months back
It's excuses sure, but wolves aren't the worst team ever, and they've had their chances this season, been unlucky at times
Arsenal barley scraped a win and villa barley scraped a win against wolves, we drew so what.
Also last season we lost to them twice and this season we walk away with 4 points instead of 0. From that perspective I'm happy
Wolves had 2 points in 18. That is historically bad. There is absolutely no fucking way a team that much of a shambles should be getting any points at old Trafford.
Arsenal needed a last minute own goal to beat wolves, pool scraped a 2-1 win, and forest definitely should have lost that game. This wolves team is bad, but they have also severely underperformed their season metrics. I’m also not a fan of Amorim, but it’s wild people are surprised our B team couldn’t beat them.
but it’s wild people are surprised our B team couldn’t beat them.
our fanbase has been castrated. amorim has convincd fans that its okay to draw against the worst PL team ever because of a couple of injuries.
we won against newcastle with almost the same squad, difference is that in that game we had a setup that fit the team and this game we didnt. we have a 1 for 1 comparison between the 2 setups and its clear one suits us way better
Yeah, Wolves are about as good as Villa, just under performing by about 17 points whereas Villa are over performing by about 17.
It’s not great that journalists who are supposed to be informing their readers tend to fall into the most superficial, narrativised takes most of the time.
we fundamentally just didn't finish chances. tactics and in-game management were bad, especially in the second half, but the goals were there for the taking.
I never did wolves aren’t the worst team in the league. My point is that quality of the team we put out was poor, and I’m not surprised we couldn’t beat a wolves team that came and sat deep off the ball.
I saw the score at half time in my phone and decided not to stay up and watch the damn thing. It was clear to me that we were going to at least drop 2 points if not all 3.
This hilarious result not even being considered, I just haven't seen all this supposed 'progress' I've seen lots of fans mention this season. We are still a mostly slow, unimaginative and consistently inconsistent team. The only major difference to last season is some of the personnel. Obviously, Lammens is an upgrade from Onana. But a traffic cone would have likely been an improvement to probably our worst keeper in recent memory, it's almost a given. Mbuemo and Cunha have been grand overall, they haven't blown me away but they're upgrades sure. They've both had the tendency to have nothing games in between really good ones, they're new so I can give them leeway for inconsistency. Sesko has been.... Again I can cut the guy slack for being new, but United seems like a place where decent young strikers go to die, hopefully he turns it around but I can't help but see the Hoijlund comparisons already.
But our play style, our performances, our set up, none of it inspires me with confidence. Our lack of flexibility and adapting to other teams mid game is shocking. I also have no belief in us to win any game anymore. We might sometimes, in fact we've become a plucky annoying team against big teams, but at home against relegation candidates or lower table teams we inevitably suck most of the time. Slow, ponderous, slow, lacking confidence in attack, did I mention SLOW? And this has been a carry on from ten hags second season. We are basically a midtable team now, I've had to accept it. I hate it, I don't want United to be that, but here we are this is our level. We might have some qualities of a big club with the stadium, fanbase and history. But on the pitch, in reality, we're another Brighton, Everton, Palace, Brentford etc
I dunno what you do with Amorim. I'm not convinced at all but I also don't know where the club goes from here. Sacking him is another restart. If we miss Europa League its warranted I think, we can't afford to miss out again. This club sucks the life out of my love for football honestly.
Started with a 4231 against Newcastle. Had a great performance, then he reverted back to his 5221 and lo and behold, Newcastle dominated second half. He could then claim victory with his philosophy.
He saw the opportunity to prove the media wrong and boost his ego against wolves, and started 5221 again, in hope for a victory vs the worst PL team in recent history, only to show how sitting back, "playing it safe" without any midfield, against any PL team is disastrous.
Against Everton we went up 11vs10 early in the game, and yet, Amorim decided to stick with 5221 because he saw a golden opportunity to show the media that playing defensively is the future for United.
His only solution to a failing 5221 is to throw in everything he think will work at the 80th minute and have a bunch of tired players try to break through a 10 man defense.
His pride and ego will be his and this clubs downfall this season.
Even Pep changed up his style when coming to the premier league.
Edit. Anyone else noticed how only Shaw somewhat provided assistance to Dorgu on the wing? Anyone else noticed how isolated our WB's where? 8 out of 10 times Dorgu or Dalot got the ball, nearest United player where 10 meters away? We had to back pass every time our WB got the ball because he had no space to cross, being alone Vs 3 players. And yet, while they had 3 man to cover our wingbacks, they completely dominated the center of the field by having more players there than us.
I’m not going to talk about the result and the manager, they were both poor. I just want to say that it is embarrassing that wolves had a better bench than United did. There’s AFCON and injuries but when your midfield is Case/Ugarte and the only depth you have are a couple of teenagers with no experience, something is not right. This squad is awful.
Why go back to 343 after looking much better with 4 at the back this coach must be fucking trolling right now wtf if you don’t like the job just quit ffs
Even with absentees should be able to win. Yeah ok mate any other club it’s an injury crisis plus afcon but we should be able to beat wolves with a bare bones squad. Yet another media outlet going for the jugular. The worse part is United fans are lapping it up again.
Job’s not done
This should've been a gimme though
Why the fuck did this bum not continue with the Dorgu RW 4231
I really don't understand what Amorim is thinking. We went to 4231 because we don't have the players for back 3, it kind of works. Now, we go back to a back 3 because we lost Mount?
zirkzee isnt top tier as a 10 but he has experience there, shouldve at least given it a shot
I checked zirkees heatmap and it was basically all on the right touchline. A bizarre place to play him when his only strengths are like what we saw when he scored. Only to hook him at HT for another player who didn't look comfortable there
I assumed he must have picked up a knock, was it a tactical sub? If so then its baffling.
He said it was tactical in post match presser. Hope zirk goes on to kill it somewhere else. He's not been great for us but its clear from his half hearted celebration his mental is done and I don't blame him after this kind of shit
Zirkzee shouldn’t have even played today after his Newcastle performance
100% agree, one of the worst performances I've seen in a united shirt against Newcastle
And yet he did and somehow scored and we pulled him and looked 100x worse with fletch playing in that shite position
Honestly they were both dreadful. I guess good on Zirkzee for getting lucky with the shot deflection, but that’s all he did today.
C'mon, h s never quite been at it in a United shirt. He needs a slower pace. Undoubtedly gifted but not in the areas the Prem requires. He'll kill it in a slower paced league.
So why did we play him out of position then hook him when he scored only to throw a 18 year old to drown in the famed "system"
Also. Fletcher is a midfielder. He might've played 10 as well, but he's by no means a type to play that RW role.
Aye I felt bad. This isn't how you get the youth players to integrate into the first team

He’s obsessed with his stupid formation. He cares about it more than he cares about getting results, it’s baffling.
He's got the personality of a ref. When you given them abuse over a genuine mistake they start making objectively worse decisions because their ego stops them from accepting that they got something wrong vs giving them grief for stuff that wasn't a mistake and they don't care, as they know it was not their fault.
Thinking?
You give him too much credit.
Happy New Year.
Nobody tells Amorim what to do, even if that involves winning
This motherfucker cares more about his feelings than winning
Not even the pope.
Because he wanted to prove he's smarter than the pundits and journalists who have been poking fun at him for changing to a back four.
And, as usual, he's made himself look like a dunce.
A back four with Dorgu on the right and Shaw overlapping Cunha on the left. Zirkzee as the 10 behind Sesko. It's not rocket science.
Instead we got fucking Dalot trying to play the whole right side by himself 🤦🏻♂️
Dalot, who is a good fullback and a very poor wingback. Amorim loves setting up players to fail.
I wasn’t even trying to throw shade on Dalot either, just what he had him doing was outrageous
Dalot put in a blinder against Newcastle when he had Dorgu ahead of him.
Exactly lmfao people can say it sounds ridiculous but from the way he portrays himself in the media never admitting his mistakes and always using “suffer” as an excuse it’s pretty evident what he’s trying to do
"We'll continue to fail using my ideas until they work."
At this point him just constantly saying suffer feels like gaslighting, trying to get us to believe that somehow the dross we watch most weeks is acceptable
This sub is so cooked lmao, we're upvoting evidence-less theories that a top flight manager is making team selections the way a dramatic 10 year old would.
He's really got to go
Agree with the sentiment, but "prove he's smarter than pundits" is hilarious.
Instead of “prove he is smarter than the pundits” we can call it “prove he isnt stupider than the pundits”. Unfortunately he is failing
Literally said his ego is more important than setting the team up for success. Dreadful manager who’s horribly out of his depth
He's really willing to lose his job just our of stubbornness
I tuned in about twenty minutes in and I genuinely couldn't believe that that wasn't what we were doing.
Just such a bizarrely irrational decision from Amorim. And then he doubled down with the subs tonight...
Is this the new made up narrative? He wanted to prove hes smarter than journos...christ we are fucked as a fanbase.
I don't understand why he would ruin a good thing he had going for him. Dorgu played the best game of his career at right wing, and Amorim immediately reverts him back to a left wing back for no reason.
This is why it’s so baffling. You see Dorgu play like that, then you change him back. Why?!
How's it a narrative? You've literally watched it happen. He's an egomaniac lol
Amorim genuinely seems like the kind of guy who plays negative sum games lol
Why else would he switch from a formation we played better with?
You tell me then. Did he see the game against Newcastle and say "I'm actually going back to the system that has seen us lose more games in 2025 than we've won"? Because that to me is worse than doing so out of egotistical reasons.
Well they were crap against Newcastle in the 2nd half anyway too.
Yeah, a 2nd half that saw Amorim do perhaps the strangest substitutions we've seen since he arrived which caused our defense to collapse...
I mean he's clearly super sensitive to making certain decisions based on what the media are saying.
if you have a better theory as for why we play 2 dms and 3 cbs against wolves, after having a good game in a 4231 against newcastle, feel free to share. the fact he didnt change it up in the second half makes it difficult to think its not something personal to him
Shaw can't run.
That looked so much better and filled me with hope for its brief appearance. Now we’re back.
He has to reinvent the wheel every time
His ego is higher than the importance of the club. How he has fans who defend the nonsense we've been seeing the past 13 months is a mystery...
Because he's a charismatic charlatan
Plays a 523 with Casemiro and ugarte.... My eyes were bleeding watching ugarte play. You could see Casemiro as well being lost there as there was no cohesion.
I am not disappointed as I watched the first twenty minutes and knew exactly we were in for one of the worst of our displays...
Because he wants the back 5 to work and today he thought he will prove it does. He is thick in his head. This formation is going to be his bane
Ego.
He’s spent the last year being adamant that his system was the best system.
He wanted to hope that going back to the system would work against the weakest team in the league.
United lost a final, and finished 15th, because of his ego.
Ego
Everything good we did last game he just throw it in the bin and said yeah not using those tactics again.
Tactics last game? The game were we just sat back and let new castle control the whole second half?
first half where he made the changes we were decent, then he went back to three, and surprise we were shit again
You mean the part of the game where he reverted to his system and “principles” coincided with Newcastle completely taking over the match?
And then people called it a tactical masterstroke when it was really just Newcastle being too shit to capitalise on how bad we were.
First half we were decent but yeah second half vs Newcastle was embarrassing
Talk about the 1st half.
Wtf did we do well against Newcastle? Fucking shite that game as well after 50 mins…
coincidentally around the time we reverted back to the stupid 343
We defended well I thought.
Yeah Dalot, Heaven and Shaw were really effective, even when Newcastle were dictating the game. There was luck involved with Anthony Gordon and Woltemade being appalling.
It's been like that for a year. ZERO PROGRESS A YEAR LATER.
This is it. What’s the point of all the suffering and this and that if there’s literally no progress a year into management? Just let the players play JFC.

We did not go back 5. He sent in Yoro at RB and we had Dalot and Dorgu as our wingers. Tragic...
Fuck me people really are delusional this never happened wow
It does reek of ego. In the presser - also saying he didn’t change because he didn’t want the players to think it was the media influencing him … so you purposely set us up to fail and then changed to suit your ego?
Fuck off - he’s dropped the ball this week big time.
Stop.
Playing.
With.
A.
Stupid.
Formation.
Simple, we have a shite manager
With Amorim it’s always ego. It’s not really about winning games or even staying competitive, it’s about winning his way. Most disappointing for me was seeing Dorgu playing listlessly at left wingback when at least he could’ve inverted him and Dalot a few times during the game just to see if it would change something.
the baffling part wasnt even that, its that he saw that abysmal first half and thought its okay for a manager to just play on as is. and to even double down by subbing of the player that scored
We needs goals against Wolves, so of course the natural solution is to play more defenders. /S
Sack Amorim and get a worst one.
At least we know we ain’t in any top4 race 😂
We never were.
Honestly, with how bad the Premier league is Man United might finish top four
There’s might be only two very good teams in the entire league and maybe Aston Villa as well
We have essentially started the season on -2 points, with all our rivals on 0. Wolves are a free win for any good side, any decent side, any barely competent side.
It is shameful to not beat the worst Premier League side in history. Wolves scored one goal and increased their points tally by 50%.
There's no dressing this up. It's an unmitigated disaster.
Wolves have gained 33% of their points from Man United at Old Trafford.....
Actually it’s more…you missed the recurring
Sackable offence to drop two points against the worst PL side ever at home. You cannot convince me that he needs Bruno and Mbeumo to beat Wolves.
hes done quite a few sackable offences before this
Loosing to Tottenham in a final is a sackable offence
Winning against United in a EL final and finished 17th is also a sackable offense…one gets sacked the other gets a million excuses.
Grimsby
This Amorim dude is full of ego.
Tell them Laurie.
Amorim makes it difficult for himself.
Dorgu should have played at RW.
and Sesko should of scored at least two.
Its all Ifs ands and Buts.
Wolves could have scored 4 too. Ifs and buts indeed.
Game should've ended 6-5 by the accounts of the previous comments....
Thing is there shouldn't be any 'ifs and buts' against what is possibly the worst PL side ever.
This manager is clueless.
P45 please
It's not the most ideal situation, and we have players out, but the last thing Ruben needs to do is make it even harder for himself. Dorgu on the right wing worked a treat, why change it tonight? Stick with what works
Because he's clueless
EGO! But has done nothing to have such a massive ego
I was starting to believe the theory that he wants to get sacked so that man United will have to pay him out of his contract
If he just resigns man United can get out of his contract
End of the season he’s got to go. In what way have we shown any development. He’s insistent on the back 3 onto changing once, it working and then he abandons it for this shit.
I don’t care about the missing players. Wolves are looking like the worst premier league team of all time and we couldn’t do anything.
He won’t adapt and continue to insist we need explicitly niche players that unlock the system just to have performances like this again and again.
If this isnt a wake up call for everyone involved then its worrying. Hes not the right one hes in way over his head and tonight proved that the system is shit and doesn't work
This is like the 3rd wake up call this season alone and we’re only halfway.
Should of walked at Grimsby to be honest
The fact he kept threatening to walk away should have seen him sacked. Being manager of this club is a privilege yet he acts like he’s doing everyone a favor by sticking around. The arrogance is almost as bad as his tactics.
Didn’t he say this one time that if the result is bad, he’d walk away on his own.
EL final*
brimsby, west ham, 10men everton, wolves today, brentford. weve had quite a few wakeup calls xD
Lets just wake up call and alarm bells all the way to relegation zone
I don't see Rubin staying past this season. Too many blunders on his part. That was just pathetic.
That's ok guys. The media said that United should be beating wolves. Amorim ain't having that.
Oliver Glasner will be the next manager at United. He's not re-signing at Palace cause it's already done.
god I hope you're right. Glasner can actually put the fire into an attack and get a performance out of his strikers, and we really need that.
At least we had a set end date for the misery under Rangnick. When is this going to end, Fuck INEOS man.
Not until we’re mathematically out of the Europa league spots or the summer, whichever comes first, unfortunately. The league’s so poor this season, it could well drag on.
That performance is an insult to the word "Awkward", Laurie
10 points dropped against lower opposition. Should be comfortably 3rd, and we're not. Yes sometimes it clicks and sometimes we look better than last year, but it means fuck all if you're not getting results. You spent 70mil a striker who can't dribble without looking down at the ball and can't head to save his life. He had two sitters today and looked terrible with both chances.
Please finally sack him.
Just sack him and get it over with already
Not only did we help Wolves stop their goalless streak, we also helped stop their 11 game losing streak...
Stonks...
The worst side in premier leauge history. Let's not sugar coat it.
We are as bad, no actually worse considering Lammens super save, than the WORST PREMIER LEAUGE TEAM IN HISTORY
its fucking useless to expect this team and club to pay the fans back with anything but fucking misery
He switched back to 343 this game, we were always going to be defensively vulnerable in this setting, always.
You mean shit, we were always going to be shit!
He also switched back to 343 halfway through the last game and they were shit. Completely lost control.
Leeds and Burnley next? A single point from those games and he’s gotta be gone, surely?
This game tipped me over to thinking that Amorim needs to go. I know he hasn't had all he needs for his system but he should be showing an ability to understand how the league works by now. It really isn't acceptable to not beat this Wolves side. I thought before kick off we would give them 3 points, so it wasn't as bad as I feared.
Wow you know it’s bad if this 30 IQ sycophant admits it.
Making progress tho
This is a sackable offense.
Worst side in Premier League history. We play FIVE AT THE BACK AT OLD TRAFFORD.
In what world does any sane man see the progress from the rw 4atb Dorgu and go nah fam my system is goated.
Everyone loves to side pass when what we need is a goal
We have zero connection between the midfield and the attack when Mount or Fernandes is not there..
Sack the manager. Stubborn idiot. Saw the performance against Newcastle for 45 mins and that hurt his ego.
From that perspective I'm happy
we literally have wolves best player on our side, dont compare this to last season please
I’m also not a fan of Amorim, but it’s wild people are surprised our B team couldn’t beat them.
our fanbase has been castrated. amorim has convincd fans that its okay to draw against the worst PL team ever because of a couple of injuries.
we won against newcastle with almost the same squad, difference is that in that game we had a setup that fit the team and this game we didnt. we have a 1 for 1 comparison between the 2 setups and its clear one suits us way better
3 ifs and a but to justify this performance
Villa also beat them by just a single goal, does this mean we did ok?
Can you show me where I said we did ok? Holy strawman.
You do not fluke being bottom of the table with 3 points after nearly 20 games in.
I never did wolves aren’t the worst team in the league. My point is that quality of the team we put out was poor, and I’m not surprised we couldn’t beat a wolves team that came and sat deep off the ball.
Tinker twat off again sees players playing well in position fucks it all about and then makes defensive subs
Pathetic club.
Thanks Laurie. Nice reporting.
And the manager couldnt figure it out the whole game! Scary!
Six?
Pretty much. I was fuming my whole way to my job
I saw the score at half time in my phone and decided not to stay up and watch the damn thing. It was clear to me that we were going to at least drop 2 points if not all 3.
I dont understand why the fuck didnt Amorin change formation in the game. Back 3 clearly not working
Every time we play his shite 3 at the back we look absolutely shocking going forward.
Why do these opinions get their own posts?

I think we saw the future against Grimsby. That was no coincidence
We looked 5 men down at times Vs wolves.
Wonder if Brighton and spurs fans are saying the same, this wolves team will still take points off ppl.
