Hey folks,

I’m based in Canada and considering Scale.jobs, but I’m pretty conflicted. Their best value plan is $399 USD for 1000 applications, which comes out to almost $550 CAD for me.

I’ve read mixed reviews saying the product isn’t very market-ready yet and not great value for money, especially given the pricing. Honestly, that cost feels steep and borderline unaffordable for me.

At the same time, I barely have enough time to apply for jobs myself, which is why I’m even considering it.

Would love to hear real experiences. Did it actually help you?

  • Never pay for job applications. Full stop. If you want resume optimization, use a service like Rezi (they give out free Pro memberships) and have their AI tool optimize your resume, tweak it a bit, then apply. I’ve used it and gotten more callbacks using that method than the bulk application process from those paid sites that applied to every job even though I was wildly unqualified.

  • No. These services just take spray and pray to the next level. They’re absolutely not worth a penny.

  • I used a resume service that came with free application services for 30 days, and all I got was the same customer service job by 27 different recruiting people, when I was applying for web development project manager and front end. (And work is work, but that was so sketchy, i didnt apply)

They're absolutely useless. Maybe if it was free, but i wont pay money I dont have for that service, when I can pop out 10 a day with updates and emails (and, it keeps some of my skills from atrophying). I've even had people on LinkedIn sell me on application services, and I refuse. It's a con. I'm desperate, i've been out of work for far too long (2 years, essentially) and job seekers should NEVER spend money on application services. Theyre preying on your vulnerability and desperation. The cheapest offered was $40 in the states, and even then, thats garbage (especially if its the same customer service job from all recruiters).

Only pay (if you must) for the bare essentials: resume, cover letter, and certifications if it applies. Even then, there's tons of free resources. But application services are just scams.

  • I used apply.ai and I found it terrible and never got called back a single time, their application packages are expensive and terrible. I built a totally free optimization tool to optimize or create your cv and fix linkedin for your JD totally free (no paywall of any sort) and I started to get called for real, but keeping to apply myself. Maybe give it a shot Www.hirerevolt.com

I make no money out of this, I just try to help everyone knowing too well how it feels to be on the other side.. best of luck
