The foam wash is usually for either a light wash = not very dirty car, or as a pre-wash to help get most of the dirt off before scrubbing with whatever you prefer to scrub it with, I have a different soap and either a wool/microfibre glove or a telescopic microfibre "brush".
They can and do work but you need an actual pressure washer and good soap concentrate, not just one of those attachments that goes on a garden hose and some cheap diluted soap
A lot of people wash once a week. When I had my old car I washed Friday and met with a bunch of friends and randoms on Saturday, sometimes it was cars and coffee, most days was just two friends and I cruising enjoying the day. This method of washing is best when done constantly. Doesn't give contaminants time to stick to the paint and a good soap bath just loosens it all up.
So Is water lawns, so is 30+ minute shower. Baths are excessive use of water. Do you always turn the faucet off when not in use? Do you always flush cause every flush is about 2 gallons of water. Everyday mundane things in first world countries are wasteful everywhere
Alright here's a medal, though I don't remember being the one to interpose my opinion on someone else. Just so you know, two wrongs don't make a right! You're entitled to your opinion on water consumption and so am I.
You actually did, I was responding to someone else about washing cars and you come to my comment and said "that's a waste of water. You definitely interposed your opinion onto me
You guys can wash your xars like that in the street? We have regulations here because of the chemicals used in car wash bottles that this can't be done on a public street.
Definitely the first. It’s the US we are talking about. I’ll tell you first hand that shit ain’t safe and we dump it it all in the streets all the time

So he made it bubbly then not clean. Yea those sprays don’t work and never have. You need to get in there with a rag and put the work in.

Either our government doesn't care or the soaps we have are regulated and safe to let it run to the street drains.
