• Context? No clue what the Shibuya incident is

A major story arc in the manga/anime Jujutsu Kaisen.

Ah thanks. The only manga I could think of that takes place in Shibuya was Princess Jellyfish lmao

    1. TIL

    2. The page I got this from was an anime FB page, so they were definitely referring to Jujutsu Kaisen, and not the real world event.

Oh no you're good the brother in christ I was referring to was the JJK poster lol

  • Seems like there was an incident in Shibuya. Maybe even a couple.

  • Would this really count though? I mean the shibuya incident arc was made with halloween in shibuya in mind. So wouldn't it be more like saying real life is a jjk reference rather than comparing a real scenario to a fictional one?

Maybe? From my perspective, Detective Conan and Call of the Night had their own respective Shibuya Incidents on Halloween, which made me think stories about Shibuya’s Halloween might not be uncommon, and that this is just what Shibuya looks like on Halloween night.

If I had a nickel for every time a Shibuya incident happened on Halloween, I’d have three nickels. Which isn’t a lot but it’s weird it happened thrice.

  • I watch the rambalac stream of it every year.

  • i mean the shibuya arc didnt just happen in shibuya it also happened on halloween. this is a pretty apt reference.

Off the top of my head, Detective Conan and Call of the Night each had a “Shibuya Incident” that took place on Halloween night. I’m pretty sure stories of weird things happening in Shibuya on Halloween aren’t particularly uncommon in fiction and non-fiction.

sure but they're just making a reference man. this isn't like equating donald trump to Voldemort i feel like.
