This is SO STRANGE. I don't recognize the handwriting so it must be someone from her church or NA group. I haven't spoken to my mother in 13 months. She wrote me 2 brief letters that I never replied to. She answered the phone when I called my dad 2 weeks ago and told my brother she felt that was "a god thing and a good step" ?!? I found it manipulative. Now this arrived today. It's just generic mother martyr BS that speaks NOTHING about our situation. What did the person think they'd accomplish with this?!? Fuck them and fuck my mom for giving them my address!!!!!!! My brother is going to find out who sent it but until then I'm just going to try and forget it and enjoy the rest of my day off.

Can you imagine the melt down if we coordinated something similar? Vaguely threatening anonymous cards coming to their homes telling them to get therapy....
HAHAHA right?!?
I think there’s a market for greeting cards like that.
If this is from someone in a Narcotics Anonymous group, they should really reread the key steps of the program, the one about making amends only if the person that was wronged is open to it. Also that part of recovery is understanding that some people may never forgive the addict or never want to communicate with them again.
My parents told my brother they don't know who sent it so it's just a big mystery. 🤷♀️
This is a level of Flying Monkey I have never seen before.
Yeah, I guess keep it just in case you get more, and it starts becoming harassment? Other than that, I would absolutely disregard. Just, wow...

Thanks, you’re all set!
Their ability to coerce others into believing they are the victim and generate behavior changes from them is unmatched. You are not the problem, please do yourself the favor you deserve and laugh at this garbage letter and don’t take it to heart.
