I agree. Jigsaw was such a highlight live! It probably was the climax of the show for me, coming right before Paranoid Android and then Karma Police. I loved the encore in Berlin #4!!
live, at the concert i attended they played it. Halfway through the song i had to stop jumping and singing purely to take a breath, what an energy and adrenaline that song gave me
seeing it live this tour was genuinely amazing. It carries so much energy and everyone loved it. Highlight of the night, along with Weird Fishes, Bodysnatchers, Exit Music and Airbag for me. Although basically the whole night was a highlight, near flawless set
What could you possibly „hate“ about it? Not particularly like it? Ok. Maybe you’re not fond of Radiohead in general. Or you are - you’re here after all - and you prefer other songs.
But hate it? Please at least explain reasonably to some extent why.
Otherwise the commenters before me are just right and it’s an a hole type opinion.
It’s a cliché acoustic guitar line with lyrics that are either ill-fitting for Thom to try roleplay as a lothario, or totally stock to the point of shit ( the beat goes round and round/c’mon and let it out ). The backing vocals sound rejected from the shitty part at the end of Weird Fishes.
I could go on but I haven’t heard it in years. I don’t think it’s possible to be an asshole for hating a song, but it’s real sign of fucking prick to try and suggest that it is 👍
I don’t need to ask who the prick is, if it’s walking into a room dedicated to discussing which version of a thing is more beloved by those who love the thing, you know, talking about how it’s carrying some aeay to hear it live etc., stating: „I hate this shit.“
And yeah generally one is always being a prick version of oneself hating anything harmless that’s dear to others.
You know I don’t particularly like most of Oasis songs, but the only reason I would shit on ones oasis-parade is because they keep shitting on everyone else. Otherwise I would just not care, and enjoy the casual wonderwall singalong a nostalgic drunken party turned popup karaoke. Even if I did hate their cocaine-driven bloated discography.
Re: Jigsaw. Definitely isn’t their most cerebral song, but it just conveys so many emotions in such a good and dense way. It’s an emotional song about performing and being an musician. Not roleplaying but personal yet aware of roles. It additionally just really gets me moving. And I don’t consider it to be an easy cliche guitar line at all, I think it’s quite difficult to perform. Also I love beatdriven songs. I understand that‘s not for everyone but it depends on where you come from musically, and me not coming from the rock-side I always loved Jigsaw.
The beat goes ROUND AND ROUND

Live, because i heard it in Berlin
It was so wild to me how much of a crowd pleasing singalong it was on night 4. I wasn't expecting that.
Yesss!!!!
It's among their most popular songs on Spotify as well, currently number 8. People love it (rightfully so, it's awesome).
That concert was magical from start to finish

Scotch mist. The weed goes round and round
Love em both but it’s a fun live one to bop to for sure.
Live. Guitar is way better and more audible. Defo more energy
Oh shit didn’t realize they added it back into the setlist. That’s awesome
Live, but I miss when Thom would play electric on it.

I actually hate this song enough to delete it from my phone. Can never believe the love it gets here
You do you, but it's amazing for so many others!
He gotta make sure everyone knows he hates it though, by commenting on an appreciation post about the song
Other opinions are allowed 👍
Opinions are like assholes. Everyone has one, but no one wants to see yours
And assholes think only their opinions count. Funny how that works 👍
