Picture 1: One of the many comments OP made pretending that he has no relationship with the brand and just enjoys it after discovering it.
Pictures 2-4: An example of the content they posted. Notice how they couldn't even put the effort in to take a new picture of the noodles they "eat so much" that their wife is getting concerned, and instead cropped a 2+ month old thumbnail from the official youtube channel.
Picture 5-8: Another example of OPs reddit posts. Here you can clearly see that it is the same counter, wall, and range. Use the outlet for reference.
Stealth advertising ruins the only good part of social media; engagement. It is going to happen, but if this is the effort they put into advertising their products, I can only imagine the effort put into creating them.

Now bro done hid/deleted all his activity, safe to say this was not a successful marketing campaign for them.
Fun fact, you can still see people's account history by punching their username into google and prefacing it with "site:reddit.com"
Another fun fact is you can go to their reddit profile, go to the search bar above with their username still attached to the search bar, press "spacebar", and then hit enter.
It will display all the posts and comments they've participated in.
Wait, why do you have to search though, isn’t the result the same as clicking the comments or submitted tab in their profile?
cause their post history is set to be hidden
Ohhh got it, that makes sense
[deleted]
All I see is your single comment which is this one.
Interesting! Doesn't seem to work on mobile or old.reddit though unfortunately.
On mobile just search on their profile with '*'.
Yeah, because there is no search bar on old.reddit so it won't work unfortunately.
You have to use the :username: command.
I use the site Arctic Shift. I made a script that lets me go to Arctic Shift from a user's page and automatically display their posting history, including deleted posts.
Is this available to all for free? How cool. I don't think I'm the only one that's gonna pick up on this from here.
You can also see their history by going to their page and entering a space into the search bar and all of their comments and post will show.
or just add /search/ to the end of their profile URL
Its ok, I have more screenshots than this. He really comes off as a grifter, and I have no problem pointing this out whenever I see Drama Oil™ posted
I really really really hate stealth native advertising like this to a literally unhealthy extent.
I especially hate people who sell t-shirts. If you see someone go "I get so many compliments when I wear this!" or "This shirt was the best gift ever!" it's probably 1: a marketing account, and 2: selling stolen artwork.
Any gadget that gets posted to any of the "interesting" or "amazing" subs is almost guaranteed an ad too. They bank on someone (or their buddy) asking "where can I get this" to post their link to some dropshipping site, at best (but usually a scam). Reddit and mods do not care
I agree.
Its so detrimental and abusive to the only factor that matters in social media, and it is becoming all too common.
Funny story ypu mentioning shirts reminded me of.
Back in the day, and many accounts ago, I posted my favorite shirt on reddit. Because I loved it. It 404d the website for days. It was a smaller retailer. I told the guy who ran the site that I was sorry. He sent me a new shirt after seeing how beat up mine was.I think we were both happy about it.
People trying to emulate that sort of interaction are sniffed out so quickly. It isnt an easy thing to do. And it cant be forced. It has to happen organically.
It sucks that these genuine reddit interactions are getting rarer as the corporate reddit allows bots and marketers to "stealth market" as they please.
Its the whole internet man. I dont think it'll change either. Time to just go back on 4chan
The only stealth/guerilla marketing I like is the Dr pepper guy who is probably paid and funded by Dr pepper
The FTC hates this one weird trick
Hot CIDs in your area
r/TheseFuckingAccounts for the guy and r/aislop for the Drama Oil.
I dont think aislop is fitting, but I'll post to the other one for sure.
The logo looks like he told ChatGPT to generate him an angry marching garlic.
Ohhh. Shit. Haha, yeah probably. Good catch, I didn't even really look at it.
The logo is definitely AI
Thanks I was looking for subreddits exactly like these
Haha I was going to say for a product named "Drama Oil" perhaps this is just good marketing 🤣
If he's smart he will at least try and spin it that way.
i'll burn my own damn garlic and oils
"There is a Japanese technique to blacken garlic. The end result is called mayu. Ive never heard of mayu. Even though it is referenced on my website. Sounds interesting."
-OP
9 views on youtube and 300 followers on instagram. Clearly the SOME team is not the best. But burnt garlic, who in their right mind wants that on anything?
Stealth marketing is such loser behavior.
as if saying "from one of the influencers I follow on social media" isn't something that immediately marks a product as pure garbage
I like the idea of an oil you can add to ramen, but burnt garlic flavor? Not for me.
Well it lives up to its stupid name.
Atleast blur out the name, now youre just giving him/ the product more attention.
If someone wants to buy their oil from seeing a post about them shilling it on reddit, let them. Its not exactly the type of thing that will give someone a lot of faith in a brand.
Yeah i’m glad you showed it cause now i know what to never buy
I don’t know why anyone would buy that product, when it’s so easy to make
To be completely fair that can apply to a lot of products. Im sure you buy plenty of things out of convenience.
A hemp company did this on Reddit too and not one person has cared or caught on haha
Even if he wasn't shilling the product, the guy likes tomato sauce on his eggs as well, that immediately means I am not taking his word for how supposedly "good" that oil is.
Tomatoes and eggs are fine.
"Tomatoes" aren't exactly the same as tomato ketchup/sauce.
Not something I like (the ketchup, not tomatoes in general), therefore I wouldn't trust the culinary opinions of someone who does. Aside from the fact he's obviously shilling, and if you've got to resort to that then I definitely don't believe that the product is good, lol.
Sorry, it just occurred to me that maybe you aren't from the states. I took "tomato sauce" a little too literally, forgetting that it isnt called ketchup universally.
I also took your comment a little too broadly, instead of you talking about your preferences.
I stand by ketchup on eggs. Nothing beats a bec spk for breakfast.
If the guy you're replying to isn't from the US (or likely even the east coast), no way he'll know what "bec spk" is. 😂
Haha correct, I have no idea what that is. 😅
To add onto OP's answer, the role is a Kaiser roll (sort of big, puffy white bread-ish roll with black poppy seeds on top), I've never seen it outside the NY tri-state area.
The sandwich is godly good, though I don't eat ketchup with eggs, so I never get it with that.
I did Google what it was after my reply, lol. We do have those rolls here (or at least a close facsimile), and you can essentially get the same thing, just not with that name obviously, lol.
It just stands for Bacon egg cheese, salt pepper ketchup
You cant do the same. Its a very regional thing. Im not saying NY bread is the best in the world, but I know it doesnt exist elsewhere. This exists for you too, we simply just do not have drop bears.
If you are ever in the city lmk, I'll buy you a bec and you judge.
To add to your answer, Kaiser rolls are not the same outside of the tri-state area. The bread used is made with 6 ingredients. Flour, yeast, salt, fat, water and time. And it has to be fresh.
All of those ingredients are all easily obtained, except the water. Which, I do think matters. There is a reason why the best NY style pizza you will have is in the boroughs and NJ. Go to mass and have a slice. Have some bread in Texas or California. It will be different. Not bad, but not the same.
Kaiser rolls are pretty common here, but I'll give you that yours still probably taste different because of the locality of ingredients (inc. water). But that can said be said of all the ingredients TBH, your eggs and cheese and everything else will also taste different. And the ketchup too, lol.
In our house, for a lazy lunch in the park we occasionally have (our) kaiser rolls with rotisserie chicken. Slather on some butter, bit of sour cream, avocado, lettuce, cheese if you want it and some mayo, and a good serving of rotisserie chicken, and a good twist of cracked pepper. Although I hate bits in my teeth so I have to brush off the poppy seeds, lol.
Absolutely. I do not disagree with you there. I think it is hard to truly form an opinion on a food, unless you have had it authentically.
That said, our ketchup and your ketchup is probably not all that different. Except for the dies and sweeteners. Which, while a big deal, probably still tastes very close given the amount used.
As someone who cant stand ketchup on a hot dog, I get where you are coming from.
I grew up on LI and now live in New Mexico. Some places claim to have New York style pizza, but it's never ever the same. So I agree with you on the water.
There are at least two places I know of in Cali that have imported water. I am not sure if they lasted.
The U.S.A. is huge. As big as Europe. We should support our regional foods more, like Europe.
bec = Bacon egg cheese.
spk = salt pepper ketchup.
When you order your baconeggcheesesaltpepperketchup on a roll, they write what you ordered in the foil wrapping before they give it to you. It is a great sandwich, and the lifeblood of early morning risers in the tri-state area.
I suppose youre confused about what a roll is now though, since I know for a fact they are different.
Some people dont fuck with ketchup though. And thats ok.
I know. New Yorks last holdout in the gentrification of our food and slang.
Tomatoes on eggs are amazing…so don’t knock what you’ve never tried. It’s a common and popular dish in Chinese cuisine
I know that tomatoes and eggs go well together. I'm not knocking that and the Chinese dish you mention is made often in my household.
But tomato ketchup is not the same as tomatoes, and I stand by my opinion that I do not like ketchup with eggs.
Shakshouka and Eggs in Purgatory would love to have a word
You make shakshouka with Heinz tomato sauce/ketchup?
I'm not talking about every single other tomato and egg dish out there, I'm talking very specifically about my dislike of eggs and tomato ketchup (or tomato sauce as we call it here), which was mentioned in the screenshots of the OP.
What do you call tomato sauce?
Look. Look. That depends. Is the fuckery of Australian English a rabbit hole you want to go down? Lol.
Tomato sauce is ketchup, but not in Australia, it's just tomato sauce. But tomato based sauces are also pasta sauces. Or spaghetti sauce. And sometimes pasta sauces are just sauces. But there are also cream based sauces, you say! Yes, there certainly are, lol.
It's a context thing. Take chips for example. We have chips, and we have chips, but they are two different things. Sometimes people will differentiate by calling one hot chips, and the other potato chips, but most of the time there's no need if you have the context. Everyone knows what a minimum chips is when you order that, you don't need to specify which type of chip. Just as everyone knows what chips you're putting out at a party. Oh but we also do get specific, such as corn chips, or veggie chips, or sweet potato chips (which you'll also find in a bag of veggie chips, but these are also different), and we all still know that those chips are different to the other chips. Oh, and hey, we have wood chips too! But they aren't chips or chips.
And speaking of potatoes, in some states we have potato cakes, and in others we have potato scallops. But potato cakes aren't cakes, and potato scallops aren't scallops, but they are both the same thing. And neither are scalloped potatoes.
Lol ok I'm being silly.
I just made the mistake of assuming here that the context in the OP's screenshots (referring to tomato ketchup), would be enough for people to know that's what I was talking about when I called it tomato sauce. Thinking everyone is based in the US goes both ways, I should have known that people who refer to ketchup as ketchup would not know that Aussie tomato sauce is the same thing, lol. My mistake!
Put salsa on your eggs. It'll change your life.
I've done that before. Again, very different to ketchup.
Honestly T sauce on eggs is amazing, think its more weird to think they dont go together really
Tomato and egg is a classic combo in China where they stir fry it, Shakshouka is also a popular tomato sauce and egg dish all over the place
https://www.reddit.com/r/quityourbullshit/s/bvDtnYXsg3
Actually yeah, I’d never seen it till recently but there’s a popular Chinese tomato and egg recipe that’s really good on rice for breakfast. It’s really good and made from stuff you’d normally have in the pantry (except the Shaoxing wine, which is easy to find in an Asian grocery store). Recipe here for anyone curious.
Not defending ketchup on eggs though, that’s fucking gross lol
Edit: sorry, didn’t realize you were Australian and spoke the funny charming English lol

We like to call this "huffing one's own farts" and it's in very poor taste.
Saw how well cigarettes are doing with stealth marketing and thought he wouldn't get caught either 💀

ahhh poor guy just trying to market on his own, i dont blame him tbh. But i mean yall should look up how reddit started. a couple guys creating fake accounts and posts pretending to be other people to comment on each other's posts and they did this until it looked like reddit was an actual established community.

I'm with him on the stoner food though, the buldak noodles are my go to stoner snack... I've always liked spicy food while high though
Im not a bud or buldak fan myself. More of a beer and shin guy.

Youre so weird bro.
[deleted]
Yes, youre weird. Every 2 hours I get a new notification from you.
They already responded in this thread. I wasn't "found out to be the sole moderator" . I literally made it and commented to them about it, making fun of the things they said.
[deleted]
Well, I'm going to block you. Then you cant see any of this.
Who exactly is the eggs subreddit for
I think it should be obvious that r/eggs is for people who like eggs, the same way I same way I assume you like star wars and guns, u/starwars_and_guns
Hey everyone original OP here from the screen shots.
Let’s clear the air since it is called Drama Oil let’s get the Drama out huh? I do have a small stake in the company only because I did actually love the product and bought in. I was tasked to help with some awareness and push the product which I will admit I am wrong in the way I did it on Reddit, that was a mistake and I apologize for that. It wasn’t the right method but hey I am human just trying to figure things out. Rather than doubling down like I did in the post and deleting it (which in the moment I didn’t know how to respond) I am here to acknowledge again that I am wrong.
I should be honest and post the product with my ownership mentioned in there moving forward, full stop.
Whether you never take a look at the product doesn’t matter to me, just want to address the mistake. People make mistakes and now it’s all out there, have at it.
Your video title “How Did We Get Our Name” seems to imply if you’re a pretty major stakeholder if not owner.
If your product is that good, quit trying to hide behind this guise of “no guys, I seriously love it and the fact that I’m positioned to financially benefit from sales has nothing to do with my love for it!” If you’re gonna self-promote, then self-promote honestly. Otherwise pay for some AdSense and some sponsored posts from influencers.
Drama aside, burnt garlic oil does sound pretty good. I’ll give you that.
He's coping right now. Garlic oil is great, until you realize that a company is like 60-70% advertisement and that this oil is being shilled by a guy in his house. Take the botulistim if you want. Their nutritional facts aren't even right.
I am not the main stake holder in this company, the person in that video you are referring to he is and not on this thread.
I do truly believe it’s good or I wouldn’t have joined in on it. I felt the need to try a post that way today and the little traction it got had me make a few more in the same method which have since all been deleted. This isn’t something I have been doing this was a few posts today and now here we are.
But I agree and moving forward thats the only way I am going to promote it.
If you got a job tomorrow ain't no one gonna believe you ain't KC.
Just be honest bro. It costs you nothing and gains a lot of social credit.
Check us out on r/DramaOil
And thats what I plan to do moving forward.
@Mike
Yeah, so if you aren't KC, there isnt any moving forward for you after you so horribly handled this.
But you are KC, and your company will stagnate for another 3 years, as it has, because you dont understand how to interact with social media at a fundamental level.
Motherfucker, you own the company. The timing of your responses and posts line up so directly with the owner of the company and his work. On the off chance I'm wrong, you need to be fired and find a new career path, marketing ain't it.
You loved it so much that every post you made was taken from previous advertisements you made? Not one piece of "content" you shared was from you, enjoying the product. It was all recycled publicity shoots.
By yourself, because you own the company.
Only after you got called out and it damaged the failing company you've been trying to push for 3+ years.
You haven't figured anything out. You are not business minded.
You are, again doubling down.
No you aren't. You are hoping it gets buried.
Go to bed KC. Stop drifting. There is a lot of positives that you can run to prop up your business. Pretending to be a Michelin chef and trying to gaslight people into an inferior product is not it. Be who your are, and can offer, instead of trying to grift and fake your way.
Again this isnt KC, this is the other partner, but say whatever you want I could just ignore it all but I rather speak my peice whether it gets buried or not, I am wrong here no matter what I get that. Obviously nothing I say is going to sway you either way so if you want to use your free time to tell everyone how they should berate me then have at it, its free speech I cant stop you. I plan to take your advice moving forward and push the product with it being known I am a part of it.
I thought you only owned a "small stake" . Now we're "partners".
You could. Youre a person. The sales wont be able to ignore it. Theyre perceptive.
After being exposed, undeniably. There is no honor in that.
Not true. You said a few things that made me dig deep enough to make this post. Don't take yourself so lightly. KC, why not just message me and maybe we can work this out?
If you wanna call posts I make on the toilet and train " free time", I wont stop you. But I dont think anyone has berated you. If you noticed, I censored your username here. No one is berating you. Theyre just not confident in a company that has a fucking awful "ad manager" tell KC I'm interested in your job lol.
Its a free market too. And no one will buy your oil once I hit tik tok with this.o
Plot twist, KC is his wife. He originally had a "small stake" but he then married KC so now they're partners.
I think she's back to a small stake now.
Disingenuous motherfucker
