Hey guys I went to a follow-up obgyn appointment and my levels are high for how far along I am in in the 19000s range probably closer to doubling that now the doctor said it could be twins how likely is it to miss twins on early ultrasounds just want some reassurance that everything is okay. They said I should either be farther along or possibly carrying twins. Hopefully it's twins because then at least I don't have to worry as much about what's going on. TIA

  • Mine was 200,000 at 6 weeks and I’m nursing my healthy 3.5 week old right now. Hcg really just means you’re pregnant and is not a reliable way to determine twins.

Thank you for sharing that makes me feel better

  • How sure are you that you’re 5w4d?

Well all my ultrasounds so far the first one said I was 4 weeks 1 day and that was on the 20th then to the ultrasound from Sunday there was a yolk sac and gestational sac normal for being in the five week mark I have another ultrasound from my actual obgyn on the 6th of January that should hopefully be more in depth then the ones at the ER

  • My HCG was 24,000 at 5+5 (and 41,000 at 6+0) and there's just one healthy baby dating/measuring as expected based on 3 ultrasounds :)

My doctor said some people are just "super producers" and ramp up faster. It meant my early pregnancy symptoms were intense but other than that, no issues whatsoever.

Well my symptoms were worse with my daughter but I definitely feel the tiredness and nausea just not throwing up surprisingly but every pregnancy is different I know my mom had no morning sickness with my brother

Mine was 50k at 6 weeks. Single healthy baby. I had absolutely no symptoms aside from less hunger until 20 weeks (and I did have symptoms with my losses, even the very early one with low hcg)

  • Mine was higher and it was a healthy singleton. HCG has a huge range of normal values and yours seems quite normal/healthy

Okay thank you I appreciate it hoping and praying for a healthy pregnancy

  • I had 19k hcg at 5w4d and I only have one in there!

Thank you for the reassurance the obgyn seems unsure but it seemed like I also created a lot of HCG with my first pregnancy but I also found out later then I am now

  • i'll just say this. you are going to be stressed out and worried about this constantly. probably on google searching for everything you can find. Just try to be patient and positive! the ultrasound appt is the only way to see whats going on. sending you positive vibes!

Thank you just praying for a healthy pregnancy and baby and I have definitely be falling down the Google rabbit hole

  • At 5+5 my HCG was 42,000+, just one baby. :)

    Thank you for sharing 😊

  • did your high hcg levels also cause high free beta hcg levels at 12 week dual hormonal test?

Im sorry I don't understand what your asking me
