Any ideas why I felt horrible like tired, somewhat sleepy, not wanting to get out of bed, somewhat cold too, despite normal blood glucose?
Little back story, diagnosed with prediabetes (5.7 a1c) 10 weeks ago. Im only 22, but I’ve been very very obese since 2 years ago, where I gained like 60 kilos or like 135 lbs. The doctor prescribed me ozempic and told me to just loose some weight, which I did, I ended up dropping about 6 kg since starting ozempic.
Now im only third week with 0.5 mg of ozempic. I also constantly check my fasting blood glucose level in the morning and its always in the 80s. My post meal blood glucose is also around 120s maybe 135s if I snuck in some chocolates and candy, but why in hell do I feel so shit especially after eating?
Probably b vitamin deficiency or something like that.
Get your Vitamin B12 checked .. Maybe that could explain the reason of your tiredness or Vitamin D
Have you had your thyroid levels checked?
Is this feeling from before, or just after being on Ozempic?
Also get your iron/ferritin checked. I hear when you're on Ozempic, getting enough electrolytes, water and protein can also help. Also don't let your calories get too low.
Even with normal glucose numbers, fatigue after meals can happen for a few reasons, especially in early insulin resistance or when you’re on Ozempic. Ozempic slows down gastric emptying, so food sits in your stomach longer. That can cause sluggishness and a heavy post-meal feeling. Even if your glucose doesn’t spike high, you might still be getting sharp swings or dips that don’t show on finger sticks. Those dips can make you feel tired or foggy.
Also, large or high-fat meals can redirect blood flow to your gut, which can make you feel colder and sleepier. Try eating smaller, balanced meals with some protein, and take a short walk after eating. If you want to see if your fatigue lines up with glucose dips, something like GlucoSpike AI helps track that more closely than random checks.
