I just saw TMZ’s post, the photo of the baby was blurred out. I thought that’s how Debby posted it but turns out TMZ did it on their own. Kind of shocked Debby didn’t do it if I’m being honest.
To a degree I feel like blurring a newborns face is more symbolic than anything like it's not like anyone's gonna recognize that baby. So idk maybe she only cares about the practical concerns of actually maintaining privacy. Just a theory ?
??? it’s not about recognizing the baby. that is not the purpose of censoring a child online. there are pedophiles creeping online and they save pictures of all ages. the faces of kids should not be online.
It’s for both reasons. And yes pervs out there do that. Next time you’re on TikTok and come accross a video of: a child at the beach or pool, a baby in a diaper, a child dancing, etc. Look at the number of views and likes compared to the amount of saves. It’s really gross.
I save videos all the time 😂😂. There’s lots of how to’s, get ready with me’s, useful info etc. I don’t think having the option to save is bad or creepy - I think the issue should be not posting pics or videos with your kids at the beach or whatever. Which is so ridiculously sad and effed up, you should be able to post whatever you want without having to worry about creeps. Unfortunately, though, there are so many awful people out there.
Yeah so do I, everyone saves videos. The point is that videos with children in any kind of situation that a pedo might deem “suggestive” has something like 100k saves vs 200 likes or comments. Once you notice it you won’t be able to unsee it.
I don’t think anybody’s claiming it’s their decision to make. They’re just simply sitting they are surprised that she didn’t censor her baby being a celebrity and all with all the weirdos online. Kind of strange you don’t understand that.
I can’t speak for the others going back and forth under my comment but yeah I was more so kind of caught off guard that TMZ, of all the tabloids, would be the one to blur the baby’s face and not the mom. I’m also not shaming her not doing so.
I agree. My babies looked like aliens at birth. Not one photo of any of them is recognizable to anyone except me and my husband. Even our parents and siblings couldn't tell you which baby is which now. There just is zero chance someone is going to see a random child in a couple of years and recognize her as this newborn from this photo. Even in 2 days when all that newborn swelling is gone, she'll look completely different.
It’s insanely popular all over right now. Girl babies being given traditionally male names is genuinely at an all time high. I feel weird about it personally because I am a female who was given a male name and was ridiculed in the 90s-00s for it 🥲
I have a unisex but leaning male name and I was also bullied in the 00s for it! I can't imagine having a fully male name as a female. Hopefully things like that are now.
I love that women can have this kind of birth; all one with the universe kinda vibes and I’m so happy they seem so at peace and one with nature about it all. As someone who’s given birth twice i just don’t get it lol.
SAME!! I think this is so cool and amazing and I also asked for an epidural before I even had my IV in for both of my inductions and I have zero regrets 😂
Same. With my first my epidural was lopsided and made my right side completely dead while the left side got nothing, I couldn't move my right leg myself at all. I'm still amazed I did it a second time. The epidural worked that time and I knew even with drugs 2 was enough for me.
My exact words when they told me I could start pushing for the second were "I'm NEVER doing this again".
Yesss I learned with my second induction I could ask for that bad boy a lot earlier than I realized (jokes on me though it don’t work with my second 🙃)
So I didn’t have a choice in mine but I will say being incredibly obnoxiously type-A I was absolutely not bothered about knowing when I’d have my kids…. At least until those pitocin contractions hit 😅
Man I had an unmedicated birth for my first (like she apparently must have) and it was hell. I was not fortified. I was exhausted and miserable. Second birth I got the epidural and it was way more calm and relaxed. Happy for her but extremely unrelatable for me.
My epidural failed with my 2nd induction and there was a twilight marathon on E all day and me and Bella looked the exact same at the exact same time when we finally gave birth. 0/10 don’t recommend
That’s totally cool to share differing experiences and I’m sure yours is widely accepted and praised so I can’t see why moms who have a different experience are down voted
Pretty sure you’re being downvoted for saying it’s a “mindset,” not because you had a positive non-medicated birth experience. Saying that having a positive birth experience is just a mindset can be perceived as dismissive and hurtful for people who attempt home births or unmedicated births and have bad outcomes. Yes—getting through an unmedicated birth without issues does require mental and physical preparation (“mindset”) but it also requires a lot of luck that baby is in the right position, continues to progress, tolerates contractions well, that the mother doesn’t experience any severe complications, etc.
I see what you’re saying. I just think the comments claiming luck is involved are almost out there like the mindset thing. My daughter wasn’t positioned properly, not everything went perfectly. 🤷🏻♀️ I definitely didn’t mean it as dismissive regardless
There are thousands of women who try to have gentle poetic home births like this and end up either in the hospital with complications, or dead. It’s not a mindset. It’s luck.
I don’t see what’s cringe about it? Sorry if I’m ignorant. My mindset got me through a beautiful and intense unpredictable home birth which the baby was sunny side up 🫤
Thank you. Moms who harp about birth being hell are praised but moms who try to have a different outlook are always met with bitterness? I can’t understand why.
first of all, i think adopting the name Felix as gender-neutral is a pretty cool move.
second of all, i appreciate that she acknowledged the involvement of a whole birthing team; unfair as it may be, i think sometimes the idea of home birth gives an impression of folksy “intimacy” and disregard for all the people potentially required to safely facilitate the process.
Those are some sweet and heartfelt messages aww 💕 If I in my late twenties now read something like this my parents wrote about me on my birthday I would be so so moved
ETA: seeing pretty wedding photos make me wish we could have afforded a proper wedding. we had a dinner with our families but kind of wish we could have done the full thing
The caption is beautiful. Very much whimsy and hippie and I love it. It does surprise me though that they posted baby’s face already. To me it’s two different vibes to be very hippie dippy and to also post baby’s on Instagram. But to each their own!
I kinda hate the trend of giving boy names to girls but congrats nonetheless.
(Not because I’m hardcore into gender roles but rather I feel like it kinda upholds the patriarchy in a
weird way. You never see people give boys traditional girl names. I know that they’re are far worse examples than Felix in this regard but still).
There is not a single thing I'd ever change about her, except her diaper.
Wow, ick. Read this part wrong! Blaming the wine.
Also, as a NICU nurse, I'd love for dumb celebrities to stop promoting home births for FTMs, please. I'm tired of seeing braindead babies come onto my unit.
My wife is an L&D nurse, and let me tell you, childbirth is dangerous. It’s great that they had a team of professionals on standby, but they didn’t have all of the equipment or facilities necessary to handle anything that could have went wrong.
This idea that you can just “go to the hospital if something goes wrong” is ridiculous. If something bad happens you need immediate intervention.
Nope, being safe as possible is being at a hospital with a high level NICU when every second counts in an emergency. Thank you for letting me know you have no medical knowledge.
It is an option for millionaire celebs though that have any hospital facility they’d like at their disposal. Glad they have a beautiful, healthy baby, but there is a reason healthcare workers look down on home births so much.
It’s because we see how fast things can change. In an instant. And it isn’t a few incidents year. It’s every single day. Birth is dangerous.
Millions of women over thousands of centuries have died so that we have the knowledge and technology to give you and your baby the best chance to live.
Yeah. My SIL just had her first baby at a birthing center. She was trying to avoid the hospital. Okay well they still had to go stay in the NICU for two weeks because her baby’s lungs weren’t working well and her oxygen was so low. 🙄 Oh but it was such a peaceful birth and she did such a great job pushing her out in one push!!! 🏆🙄
feel free to take some time to research or take a class in the psychology of childbirth. My uni required pre-med/pre-pa/nursing student to take that class. Hospitals are best. Birthing centers are great too for lower risk pregnancies. Home births are just not safe. So many things can go wrong and women and their children may not be able to get immediate medical attention making their condition more dire. The risk is not work it.
That's not to say that hospitals, which I believe are the best option, are perfect. Women of color specifically in the U.S. aren't always treated well in obstetrics, which is another reason why some women opt for a home birth. But home births aren't safe- even for low risk pregnancies.
I understand you think that hospitals are the best but some ppl are still going to do home birth if they want. Thats all im saying its kinda like youre shaming them for that
I am. The safety of their children (as well as the mother's own safety) trumps personal preference. It's irresponsible to put preference above safety and that's all I'll say.
Girl please if the baby was sick they would obviously go to the hospital. And also they probably had a midwife or smth there. They had the baby are you gonna reverse time and stop them??
I think they’re so cute and love both the captions. LOVE the name Felix for a girl. I have a girlfriend named Maurice and it’s such a great, unique name.
I know so little of both of them as a couple but every time they pop up I think they’re so cute and am really rooting for them! I think they both are “cringe” in a way that’s just really earnest and true to them so they suit and feel real. They seem like super genuine people!
Debby has been posting captions like this for awhile now; not really sure why long, poetic captions are chatgpt, and how she chose to give birth is her choice idk why it bothers you so much
He will. He said the diapers will be the only thing he changes on his daughter (like a good parent), anything else that changes on her will be her choice

I’m just surprised that one of the worst tabloids did the blurring and not Debby, since to me she comes across as pretty private!
It's more for those who steal the image. The implications of what they do with it, I'll leave unsaid.
??? it’s not about recognizing the baby. that is not the purpose of censoring a child online. there are pedophiles creeping online and they save pictures of all ages. the faces of kids should not be online.

I didn’t even know you could save videos on TikTok that’s superrr creepy
I save videos all the time 😂😂. Yes, I’m aware. My comment was in response to someone saying they didn’t know you could save a video, and that saving a video is ‘creepy.’ :)
Fair
I save videos all the time. Like a bookmark. Especially if I want to read the comments later or show someone.
Yeah so do I. Thats not the point, it’s the amount of saves vs the likes or comments.
It’s not really your decision to make. It’s her own child. I may not post a baby’s face but each person has their own personal perspective on it.
I’m also not shaming her not doing so.
i’ll die on the hill that if you need to censor any part of your child to post the photo online, the photo shouldn’t be posted online at all.
Exactly, no one outside if their family and friends need to see that.
I agree. My babies looked like aliens at birth. Not one photo of any of them is recognizable to anyone except me and my husband. Even our parents and siblings couldn't tell you which baby is which now. It’s not symbolic it’s out of respect as children can’t consent for themselves. It’s more legal than symbolic.
The difference between their captions is taking me out, but I’m glad to hear both Debby and Felix are doing well!
A fantasy novel and a teenager's diary
i like how poetic she wrote the caption. was surprised to read felix is a girl.
Same I thought she had a boy until I read “her father’s hands”
This pisses me off more than it should. Feels like such an LA/Hollywood thing to do lol 😅
It’s insanely popular all over right now. Girl babies being given traditionally male names is genuinely at an all time high. I feel weird about it personally because I am a female who was given a male name and was ridiculed in the 90s-00s for it 🥲
I know a lady Wallace born in the 60s
I'm surprised it's not Wallis.
I have a unisex but leaning male name and I was also bullied in the 00s for it! I can't imagine having a fully male name as a female. Hopefully things like that are now.
Look at the names Tracy, Ashley and Lindsey they were all boy names originally and for the most part its flipped
Yet you never see it the other way around.
I actually think it's cute. Though Felicity/Felicia were right there for the choosing...
It's better than something like apple at least 😭😭
no way i’d rather be Apple than a girl named Stuart
I'd rather be Apple than Felix tbh
as a girl honestly same!!
Stuarta
I mean Felix is better than Stuart, regardless of gender. I just wouldn’t want to share a name with a fruit
It’s giving ChatGPT.
No cuz I got irritated lmao
Middle name of Winter is perfect if she gave birth in Ohio. It’s snowing today
Her caption said it was she gave birth under a moonlight snowy night 🫶🏼
She did give birth in their Ohio home 💖
„I wouldn’t change a thing about her except her diaper“
That’s kind of cute
I love that women can have this kind of birth; all one with the universe kinda vibes and I’m so happy they seem so at peace and one with nature about it all. As someone who’s given birth twice i just don’t get it lol.

Same! My births were stressful, beyond painful, and I felt anxious out of control. Loved the babies, but getting them here was not my favorite.
It’s a mindset for sure 💖
My mindset was different
Hahaha I feel that. My daughter’s head went back in during my unmedicated birth. That was something 😅
The downvotes, lol. Such bitterness.
There are thousands of women who try to have gentle poetic home births like this and end up either in the hospital with complications, or dead. It’s not a mindset. It’s luck.
Luck?! Health is luck?! That’s literal absurdity. It takes dedication from the mother. I’m not afraid to be downvoted.
I downvote cringe ♥️
I don’t see what’s cringe about it? Sorry if I’m ignorant. My mindset got me through a beautiful and intense unpredictable home birth which the baby was sunny side up 🫤
Do what you want?? Lmao

Josh even posted a photo of one of the team and him cutting the umbilical cord (but it’s not graphic or anything)

Omg I’m so happy for Debby. My childhood. 🥹
Awww, I’m happy for them even if I don’t know who they are!
This is her lol
That’s somehow not Hanna Montana?!
She was on Disney Channel and he’s in the band Twenty One Pilots
how is this the way i find out debby ryan and josh dun are married??
congratulations and felix is an adorable name! i’m echoing concerns of immediately posting a fresh baby on the internet though
Babe they’ve been married since 2019 😭 (they had a new years wedding, their 6 year anniversary is coming up)
https://preview.redd.it/e378iyx2337g1.jpeg?width=1867&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=36837fb5de475d19507a0b1ec006abc01c327fb0
I highly recommend checking out photos from the wedding because her dresses are stunning and everyone looks so happy
i’m always out of the loop 😭
WOW she looks like a princess!! josh’s velvet suit is so elegant. the full veil and long train is to die for!
The article from their wedding post in Vogue (the photos are at the bottom so you’re gonna have to scroll a bit)
omg jim being the ringbearer!!
they look so happy and beautiful 🥹
ETA: seeing pretty wedding photos make me wish we could have afforded a proper wedding. we had a dinner with our families but kind of wish we could have done the full thing
Yung Jim will always be their firstborn 😂
That’s a beautiful dress. I’d add it to my wedding inspo
Such a cute baby!!
congrats to them (also i find the name felix very cute)
The caption is beautiful. Very much whimsy and hippie and I love it. It does surprise me though that they posted baby’s face already. To me it’s two different vibes to be very hippie dippy and to also post baby’s on Instagram. But to each their own!
Awwww good for them! They seem like very cool parents to have
It’s gonna feel like a party every day 🎶🎶
“There’s not one thing I’d change about her, except her diaper”😭🩷
I kinda hate the trend of giving boy names to girls but congrats nonetheless.
(Not because I’m hardcore into gender roles but rather I feel like it kinda upholds the patriarchy in a weird way. You never see people give boys traditional girl names. I know that they’re are far worse examples than Felix in this regard but still).
would giving girls only traditionally feminine names and adhering strictly to gender norms somehow reject the patriarchy…?
I never thought in a million years I'd be jealous of Jessie
no cuz that should be me
Bye Jessie! 🥰👋
Felix for a girl! I love unique and gender-bending names. And I thought her caption was really lovely.
I really didn’t think they’d immediately plaster her on the internet
Wow, ick.Read this part wrong! Blaming the wine. Also, as a NICU nurse, I'd love for dumb celebrities to stop promoting home births for FTMs, please. I'm tired of seeing braindead babies come onto my unit.
As a paramedic who has to deliver and resuscitate these babies as well, I agree.
Agreed on homebirth being awful but sounds like they had medical professionals on hand at least
Fully agree. Just glad to see it wasn’t wild free birthing
I’m not sure how that’s an ick tbh
But they had a full birthing team with them so they were as safe as they could be
No, they are not as safe as they could be outside of a medical setting…
Nope, being safe as possible is being at a hospital with a high level NICU when every second counts in an emergency. Thank you for letting me know you have no medical knowledge.
I meant as safe as they could be for a home birth, I kinda thought that was obvious by me saying they had a full team for a home birth
But I’m still not sure how Josh saying he wouldn’t change a thing on his kid but her diapers is a bad thing?
You're totally right, I read that part wrong. I'll edit my mistake.
Hey you’re not the only one, I guess Josh worded that part strangely since several people have gotten confused on that bit
Not every hospital has a NICU though, so unfortunately it’s not an option for everyone.
I 100% agree with you, I would never choose to give birth outside of a hospital. I was only stating that not every hospital has a NICU.
They all have surgical suites and the ability to resuscitate and transfer well above the capacity of a home midwife.
Columbus has a Level 4 NICU which is the about as good as it gets.
I think the diaper thing is just a joke. And anyone can have a home birth if they want to....
healthcare in the us is absurd but home births are irresponsible
How are they irresponsible???
feel free to take some time to research or take a class in the psychology of childbirth.

Yes, anyone can risk their child's and their own life if they want to. Freedumb.
Girl please if the baby was sick they would obviously go to the hospital. And also they probably had a midwife or smth there. They had the baby are you gonna reverse time and stop them??
Are you 12 or something? Go do your homework.
Im not 12. Like what exactly is your point you can't stop ppl from doing what they want
Thanks for that bit of breaking news.
somebody likes a thesaurus
What a beautiful caption❤️felix for a girl is so cute too!
I don't know these people, but it's cute when people are absolutely smitten with their new baby.
Felix for a girl?
K
What's next, women doctors?!
Women wearing pants?!?
women liking women????
I think they’re so cute and love both the captions. LOVE the name Felix for a girl. I have a girlfriend named Maurice and it’s such a great, unique name.
felix as a girl name is interesting
I know so little of both of them as a couple but every time they pop up I think they’re so cute and am really rooting for them! I think they both are “cringe” in a way that’s just really earnest and true to them so they suit and feel real. They seem like super genuine people!

If you’ve ever heard Debby Ryan speak, this is exactly her. She’s been like this for years. Disney child stars are quirky.
Debby has been posting captions like this for awhile now; not really sure why long, poetic captions are chatgpt, and how she chose to give birth is her choice idk why it bothers you so much
Be a hater elsewhere.
Could’ve sworn she already had a kid? Who was the one dancing in the Quarantine music video holding the baby? Perhaps I’m misinformed
Edit: Never mind, it wasn’t Debbie, my bad. Hadn’t seen the music video in a while
that was the lead singer tyler’s baby!
I was gonna say probably Tyler’s wife
She wanted to make history and that’s what this is!! 🫶🏾
Her birth setting was beautiful and her baby is so cute!!
Winter being her middle name is funny considering it's still technically Autumn 😂
December has winter vibes for the most part, but the Solstice/change of season is the 22nd
Did he say he won't change her diaper? Or that he will?
He will. He said the diapers will be the only thing he changes on his daughter (like a good parent), anything else that changes on her will be her choice
Thank you! My first impression was that he wasn't going to but then I realized I was hopefully misunderstanding
I feel like if he ever tried to shirk his dad duties Debby, Tyler, and Jenna would beat his ass back in line 😂
I fucking love this. Not necessarily a fan but I’m a huge fan of empowered births 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
