as far as i know he’s just an instagrammer with an extremely beautiful apartment that he’s making over but his work is all extremely architectural and beautiful. it’s one of those accounts i can’t believe i get to follow for free lol
I kind of get what you mean, but I feel like it's actually a fairly informational title, that gives you all the context clues needed to understand what's going on: The pieces name, it's designer, the fact that it's the newest entry in a yearly tradition of designing alternative Christmas trees.
And I have personally seen his trees for a couple of years, so it's not like he's entirely unknown.
Maybe I’m not cultured or trendy enough or whatever but I hate it. Where is the colour. Christmas for me is a chaos of colour, I cannot stand all white trees or… whatever this is. In the shops this year I saw a whole bunch of sad beige baubles. Anti-Christmas
his whole thing is architecture and interior design inspired by medieval and renaissance europe and he handmade these dripping wax-look fake candles for halloween or thanksgiving or something. each year he hand makes an alternative christmas tree for fun and this year he was inspired by the dripping wax candles he made, so this tree is made of iron chandeliers and the fake wax! it’s more of an art piece than an actual christmas tree, it’s not meant to be cosy and fun, it’s meant to evoke like a 15th century castle
It’s cool and impressive and knowing the architecture of medieval and renaissance Europe it makes a lot of sense that this is the result. I don’t hate it as an art piece. I think I’m just jaded from all the bland beige Christmas decorations I’ve seen that this is a visceral No to me BUT I shouldn’t be so negative… if you have nothing nice to say etc etc
Im sure he’s very talented, i do think this will miss the mark for a lot of people because it doesn’t seem very christmasy or tree-like. I will be looking him up though because medieval style architecture is my kind of thing.
I had to really look, but I am pretty sure they are battery operated candles. That being said I think aesthetically it would look better with real candles with the random flickering of a real flame, but I obviously understand not doing that for safety.

Is it supposed to look like melted wax? Spanish moss? A murderer yeti? Maybe if I had some frame of reference, like the other yearly Christmas trees it would be more interesting. This just looks like the Temu version of a gothic candle chandelier to me.

I feel like this belongs in a Victorian era gothic holiday ball scene
lestat would KILL for this
Literally
kills the designer after so nobody can steal his idea ARMAND
edit: autocorrect issue fixed
You have nailed the aesthetic I feel.
The caption implies we have a clue who this is and have seen all the others.
Thank you I’ll like … who 🧍🏾♀️
I mean the title tells you who ...

Before anyone asks, I know how he affords that: man clearly doesn't buy any stuff. He has zero life detritus
A quick google has informed me that his other are cooler tbh
scratching my head
Cool, cool, cool. Uhhhh, can we just see LAST YEAR'S tree real quick?
I know, now I want to see all the others!

Only way to make it is to fake it. But no this is cool, whoever he is lol.
Armand is seething somewhere because the girls are geeking for a Lestat Themed Christmas.
I'm Gentleman Death in silk and lace, come to put out the candles. The canker in the heart of the rose.
Love the reference
Candles at Christmas? Groundbreaking
That was underwhelming
Lackluster or lame are the only words I’m coming up with to describe this piece.
And of all the words I might use to describe it, “tree” wouldn’t be one of them. But it’s a cool enough large candle holder ig.
right lol. a triangular stack of a few lit candles does not mean it’s suddenly equivalent to a tree
A bunch of old man's beard moss. With ambiance.
Minus the chiggers
It’s weird when my niche insta interests crossover into my Reddit world. I view Instagram influencers in a very different light than pop culture.
I made a little gasp at the crossover! I loved his spiral tree as well.
When you’re the Phantom of the Opera, but still want some Christmas cheer for your labyrinth.
🥱🥱🥱🥱
I’ve seen this in several churches
The ghost of Christmas

Real candles?? + Fire hazard?? In this economy??

The flames are clearly moving, not just flickering. Check his Insta, he confirmed it 🫠
This is why no one wants the 2026 Pantone color of the year.
Doesn't seem very Christmassy. I don't know who Marco Zamora is but I'll pass.

Could double as a Halloween deco too.
Looks like people, eerie🫣
Does look like some ghosts
Looks like something Jack Skellington would have done for Christmas
I see some type of exotic jellyfish.
Designed by who?

Yeah, bleached amaranthus flowers to look like melted candles iirc.
Wish the candles at least had the appearance of having contributed to the wax fall.
Looks like a fire hazard 😂
no thanks, looks scary lol
Oo very masque of the red death
That looks like shi.
Kitsch.
Just in time for Hanukkah
Look like several floating ghosts. I always thought Christmas supposed to feel warm, so who knows.
It's a beautiful art piece but it doesn't belong anywhere in Christmas it's really pretty but not Christmas pretty
Am I the only one who likes this?!
