We became architects, rebuilt Atlanta, fought in WW2, I was the first to get a master's degree and moved to Europe, my parents travel in retirement. They were wrong then and they're wrong now, and the fact that so many families choose to deify that time period either tells me that they haven't amounted to jack shit in 160 years, or they really miss that whole slavery thing
